Q:   Does VTU Belgaum accept JEE score?
A:

The undergraduate admissions at our institute are conducted through a comprehensive evaluation process that considers scores from various entrance exams. Specifically, for engineering programs, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) plays a pivotal role in assessing the candidates' aptitude and knowledge in the field. Placement-oriented excellence of RVCE.
Placements: Almost every student is placed, unless we are drowning in backlogs. Microsoft, AMD, Walmart, etc., are top recruiting companies, and they do take up a good number of students. FTEs and internships are offered frequently, which makes it a top college in all standards.
Infrastructure: There is no good infrastructure since many buildings are being built as of now, making it very cluttered. Otherwise, the campus has potential that is being reduced to rubble. It does not have the best campus. It is below average and remarkable at best. The canteen is pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers are useless and can't teach anything. They are not even aware of teaching, which is kind of shameful considering it's an engineering college. Faculty members are not up to the mark. They are extremely egotistical and keep bugging us for no reason.

Great learning experience at RNSIT.
Placements: I am part of the MCA 2024-26 batch. At RNSIT the placement rate for MCA is around 70 percent. For the recent graduation batches the highest package offered is around 12 LPA while the lowest is approximately 3.5 LPA. The average package for MCA ranges between 4 LPA and 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The RNSIT campus provides a peaceful environment for students to learn. The Central Library is a major highlight being fully automated with a huge collection of reference books and journals. The canteen serves good quality food at affordable rates.
Faculty: The MCA faculty at RNSIT is very supportive and always ready to help students with projects and any sort of doubts. Every subject teacher provides notes that cover the whole syllabus. The curriculum is quite good covering high-demand areas like Python, Java, AI-ML, etc.

About RNS's CSE department.
Placements: I'm from the recent CSE batch, and placements are pretty good if we are consistent with our skills. Around 75%-85% get placed, and the highest package till date is 50 LPA. Many product-based companies and MNCs visit the college for placements. Overall, a good college with many opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, with well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi available in most places and a library with most spacious and all required books and has enough learning resources for studying. Rooms are decent, and medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty members have good knowledge, and the teaching quality is absolutely amazing. They make students industry-ready through various workshops being conducted. Students are encouraged in all ways, and they have a separate incubation centre and many clubs which develop and enhance students' interests, including technical and even extracurricular activities. Teachers are supportive and very helpful.

SIT Tumkur is worth it for placements, but don't expect anything else from this college.
Placements: About 70-80% students from my branch got placed. The highest package offered is 36 LPA, the median is 11 LPA, and I'm not sure about the lowest. Top recruiters are Oracle, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc. I'm not sure of the percentage of students who got internships, but it is in the companies I previously mentioned. Not sure about the roles.
Infrastructure: Average facilities, which are justified due to low hostel fees of about Rs. 86,000 annually. Wi-Fi is poor, labs are mixed, some are good, some are bad, classrooms are acceptable, and the library is not worth visiting. Food is utter trash in a mess. The canteen is slightly better.
Faculty: Probably the worst faculty possible out there. You wouldn't find people more reasonable than them in your whole life. The curriculum for 1st is utterly garbage and holds no relevance to the industry. I'm not sure about the higher years, though. Semester examinations are extremely easy, you just need to mug up the notes and PYQs, and you can easily score above 9 CGPA or even above 9.5 CGPA.
Other: I enrolled in this course simply because it was the best I was getting at my rank. Placement is the only good thing about this branch, though. Faculty members in this branch are the worst. They are extremely strict for unnecessary reasons.

Finally, this college is better than any other below-tier 3 colleges in Mysore.
Placements: In this college, the placement cell is super supportive and helps in any situation regarding placements and internships. The internship for 3rd year students and the placements for tier 2 and tier 1 companies need to be improved. So this college's placement is better than any other college in Mysore.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is better and needs to be improved in the coming days. The interior design in the classroom and canteen needs to be improved by repairing old fans and providing pure cold and hot water. The sewage water needs to be treated in a well-mannered manner instead of leaving it in the drainage, which is beside the main road.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college are responsible for better teaching and helping students gain academic knowledge as soon as possible. The faculty members, lab instructors, and non-teaching staff need to improve their academic skills to teach the students in such a way that the concepts are crystal clear.
Other: I chose ECE at this college because the ECE course offers a wide career opportunity in India, as the semiconductor industry is booming.

It is a good college. Overall, for placements, it is great, but not much for a fun campus life.
Placements: I am a computer science student, and it is the 2nd top course offered in our college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, and Wipro approach this branch. The topmost course is electronics and communication engineering, which offers the highest package.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure and campus are average. It is a small place and nothing much to do. The hostel infrastructure is good except for the food quality. Wi-Fi has a great network around the whole campus. The library is a three-storey building, which is the highlight of our college.
Faculty: Teachers are kind and knowledgeable. Courses are made especially for the industry level to train us well. We have training for communication and logical reasoning for further use in interviews. Semester exams are moderately tough based on subjects.
