BMSITM College is the best in our city.

Placements: In our Electrical and Electronics Engineering course, many students get placed. 80 to 90 percent of students get placement offers from companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, and other companies. Students get roles such as Electronics Engineer and Design Engineer, and also in the CSE field, like Embedded Engineering. The highest package is 20 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. There are more chances to get internships from our course. The internship ratio is around 80 percent.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are well designed. The campus of our college is big, with so many facilities. The services that I would like to mention include campus Wi-Fi, which is very helpful. There is a library for quiet studying. Classrooms are decent. All sports facilities are also available in a modern style. Hostels are good, but the fees may feel high. The food quality is also good, but it feels expensive. Medical services are also good.

Faculty: Faculty is highly educated and knowledgeable. They all know how to teach and understand students' doubts. They also use modern tools and equipment. All facilities are impressive from the faculty's point of view. The teaching quality is also good. Semester examinations are hard compared to other streams, so students need to study regularly and attend classes regularly. Around 80 percent of students are able to appear for the examinations.

Other: In our city, this college is good for placements and jobs, but the fee structure feels high. However, the college puts in full effort for student placements.

Overall, covering all aspects of my college.

Placements: I don't have an idea about getting placed. The median package is 17 LPA- 20 LPA. BMSCE has stellar, consistently growing placements, particularly in the tech branches. During the 2025 placement drive the college had a highest offer of 51.5 LPA. The average was 11.4 LPA. Over 380 companies visited the college, like Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon. The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Information Science branches drive the highest volume of offers with the CSE department taking 240 offers for 167 students in 2025.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great and affordable. The 11-hectare Basavanagudi campus combines old architectural style with contemporary engineering equipment. The campus is provided with high-speed campus-wide Wi-Fi which operates on a 10 Gbps backbone that can cope with heavy technical loads. The central library is a huge facility that provides access to 7,500 e-journals and 21,000 e-books.

Faculty: Faculty is good, it is covered and everything is well taught. The teaching staff has experienced staff and industry professors, many holding PhD degrees from VTU and NITs. While they are a little strict, but they understand students very well. The curriculum is relevant to the industry and does away with the flexibility of the traditional system. The core courses are highly integrated with modern skills like AI/Python programming and data structures. Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and practical lab sessions are very important for Semester End Examinations (SEE).

Placements: The placement cell is most important and in our course 70 percent of students got placed in different companies. The package is decent. 20 LPA is the highest package. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Top companies are visiting for placement with better package offers, but students need to be skilled. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Internship may be a chance in the final year of the course, and more startup companies take new interns. The top role offered is software developer.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good. In our department, all facilities are good like Wi-Fi is available, but in some areas it is not available. The library is good. Classrooms are decent. Labs are available for practical knowledge. The hostel is in decent condition and the mess food is also decent. Sports and medical facilities are also decent. For playing, all games are available.

Faculty: Faculty is well experienced and knowledgeable. They follow up with students to gain theory and practical knowledge. They solve and clear all doubts of students. Their teaching quality is good. Our course curriculum is relevant. I think it is important for placement. It makes students industry-ready. The semester examinations have a moderate question level. Around 80 percent is the pass percentage.

Overall great experience, but the lab needs to be updated.

Placements: In our college, there are a few companies that offer placements. Basically, I know one company name Tata Motors, some of my seniors have joined the company. I have heard that probably Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 is the salary offered. As I know, about 30 percent of students got internships.

Infrastructure: Ward facilities and first success are very good and the department is well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available in the classrooms. Kinnaur hostel and the quality of food are about 60 to 70 percent good. The canteen and medical facilities are well-maintained and clean.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching is also high-class, and we can understand all the teaching. They say our college semester is a little bit difficult compared to the 2024 syllabus. The pass percentage of our college is 80 percent.

Other: I chose this course because I have the most interest in it. Computers are not well maintained so we cannot learn coding on the computers. All the events and campus are good. Scholarships are offered.

Placements: There is no placement system in the first place. The college just carries you forward for five years, and then you are on your own. We only have to find jobs ourselves, as there is no actual guidance from the faculty in job hunting. I would not recommend choosing this course at this institution unless you have other outside connections.

Infrastructure: There are no actual facilities. There is a paan-dabba-like shop as the dedicated canteen. The infrastructure is very old.

Faculty: The faculty is the worst. They target students, spy on them, threaten them with low grades, and fail them in their particular subject. They also make other faculty members target students by spreading lies about them. Once your name gets stuck, there is no going back. They taunt and target you for the whole five years. Faculty is very egoistic, except for a few who actually bond with you as the next generation and guide you. Once, a lecturer came on a study tour with us at our expense and even took reimbursement from the college for the study tour expenses. From her casualness, it was very normal among the staff.

Other: I chose the college and course because it is in my hometown. But faculty just gets on your nerves.
