What's New at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)? Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka PGCET 2022 Round 2 Allotment Results on Feb 13, 2023. The last day for payment of fees is Feb 20, 2023. Also, the last date for reporting to the allotted college is Feb 20, 2023 (5 PM). 

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) admissions generally begin in March every year. At present, the online fee payment option for all students is available. Candidates can pay the online fee by visiting the official website of the University. VTU offers a total of over 10 programmes at the diploma, certificate, UG, PG and doctorate level. These programmes are offered under eight departments. Apart from the on-campus programmes, the University also offers other degree and diploma programmes across its 219 affiliated colleges.

VTU Admission 2023: Highlights

VTU admissions to all the programmes generally begin in March every year. Admissions to all the programmes are conducted online through the official website of the University. The application process is the same for all the courses. Candidates need to meet the respective eligibility criteria to apply for any of the programmes. VTU PG Diploma Admission 2023

Apart from the degree programmes, the University offers a PG Diploma for graduates. Admission to the programme is merit-based. Details regarding the same are mentioned in the table below:

VTU MTech Admission 2023

Apart from MBA, MTech is one of the popular courses offered by VTU. The programme is offered in 20 specialisations. VTU admissions to MTech programme are based on a valid score in GATE/ PGCET. The annual fee for the programme is Rs 7,970 for Karnataka state candidates and Rs 19,470 for other state candidates. VTU BTech Admission 2023

At the UG level, a full-time BTech programme is offered under the stream of Engineering. VTU BTech admissions are based on a valid score in JEE Main / KCET/ COMEDK UGET. Note: The University also offers lateral entry admission to BTech programme. For BTech (LE) admissions, candidates have to pass a three-year diploma in the relevant stream with an aggregate of 45%.

VTU Admission 2023: UG Courses

At the UG level, the University offers BTech, BPlan and BArch programmes under the stream of Engineering, Planning and Architecture, respectively. Visvesvaraya Technological University admission 2021 to these courses is either entrance or merit-based. The course-wise details are mentioned below:

The University also offers BArch and BPlan programmes with a duration of five and four years, respectively. Admission to both programmes is based on a valid score in NATA. The course-wise eligibility criteria is mentioned in the table below:

VTU MBA Admission 2023

Under the stream of Management, the University offers a full-time, two-year MBA programme in three specialisations. VTU MBA admissions are based on a valid score in CAT/ MAT/ PGCET. The annual fee for the programme is Rs 7,970 for Karantaka state candidates, while for other state candidates, it is Rs 18,900. The University offers MCA and M.Arch programmes with a duration of two years each. Admission to MCA is based on a valid PGCET score. On the other hand, the University accepts a valid GATE/ PGCET score for M.Arch admissions. The course-wise eligibility criteria is as follows:

VTU MSc Admission 2023

Apart from the above-mentioned PG programmes, VTU also offers MSc in Engineering. Admission to MSc is merit-based. Candidates are selected based on their graduation scores. Details regarding the same are as follows:

At the doctorate level, the University offers a PhD programme with a minimum of three and a maximum of six years of duration. VTU PhD admissions are based on a valid score in UGC NET/ VTU ETR. A few highlights regarding VTU admissions to PhD programme is shown below:

VTU Application Process 2023

VTU admissions to all the programmes are conducted through an online mode. The registration fee for UG courses is Rs 3,000, whereas PG courses have a registration fee of Rs 3,500. The step-wise VTU application process is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the University, www.vtu.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on “Admission” for sign up/ login.

Step 3: Fill the registration form by entering the required details.

Step 4: Upload required documents, such as qualifying exam mark sheet and passport-size photo.

Step 5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit cards or net banking.

• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheet
