A good engineering college in Mangalore.
Placements: Almost 80% of our students get placed in some companies from our college. The highest package is about 7 LPA, and the lowest package is about 2.3 LPA. There are no top companies that recruit from our college, and no big companies recruit from our college. The role offered is Associate IT Consultant. To summarize, it is better than not getting placed, but the package is low. That's it.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi only in the library. In labs, only Ethernet is available. I can't say about the hostel as I am a day scholar, but it is average, and the mess food is below average. For sports and games, I would say there are almost no facilities provided. They provide very bad facilities, and I am dissatisfied.
Faculty: I consider teachers to be average. We have the VTU syllabus, which I consider average. It somewhat makes students industry-ready, but we have to work on ourselves. It is easy to pass the exams and get a good CGPA. The pass percentage is around 6.5 SGPA.
Other: I chose CS because I have an interest in coding and building things. Faculty members are helpful if we have any doubts related to projects and other topics. I wish our college had a better environment. The college is clean and all, but the mentality that this college carries does not align with current world requirements. It does not fully make students industry-ready. Talking about events, when I first joined MITE, it was amazing. Very grand fests happen. It is beautiful. But as years pass, the number of events reduces.

Review of BMS College of Engineering.
Placements: About 90% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 51 LPA, and the average CSE package is 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe, Oracle, Cisco, NetApp, etc. Top roles offered are Software Development Engineer, Full sack Developed, backed Development, frontend Developed, etc.
Infrastructure: The 1st-year students, regardless of their branch, have to attend their classes in the APS block ( except for labs). The APS block is located outside the main campus, directly across the road. Even the hostels are not on the campus ( except for the international hostel).
Faculty: Quality of teaching varies from professor to professor. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. In the 1st year, students are taught C and Python programming. Semester exams are usually easier and consist of quizzes, assignments, and internal tests. It's very easy to get 9+ GPA here.
Other: Utsav is the annual cultural and technical fest ( this year's DJ night was crazy ).

Totally dissatisfied due to below-average placements and a lack of knowledge among faculty.
Placements: Both hardware and software, compared to other branches in our branch placement, are a little higher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Wi-Fi connections are also good, but hostel food and rooms are mostly the worst, and fees increase yearly. Now it is Rs. 72,000. The library is good, and the college feels like a school.
Faculty: Except for two faculty members, most faculty members have very little knowledge about the subject. The 3rd and 4th semesters are tough. You may feel stressed and trapped. Please choose a good college. Faculty members target students for nothing.
Other: I mistakenly chose this college. Events are held from 8 am to 4 pm, with no enjoyment and no proper food provided. ECE is a better course, but you will be traumatised if you choose this branch in this college. Please choose the college wisely. This college is not value for money. Do not join this college. You may feel traumatised.

Really good infrastructure and placement opportunities.
Placements: Around 95% of students are placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Companies like Bosch and Infosys visit for placements. Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, and other branches are well supported.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes good labs and facilities for Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, and Mechatronics branches. Everything is great with proper knowledge facilities, equipment, and labs. Each of us is blessed to have access to these resources, along with knowledge, equipment, experience, and expert guidance.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful, well-qualified, and highly knowledgeable. The course is very useful and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are a little bit tough. But the teaching staff is very supportive of us. Everything is great and helpful.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I was interested in it. Everything is updated. The college conducts events and fests regularly. Everything in the college is very good. It has been a nice experience for us. Overall, faculty is supportive and knowledgeable.

It is very good and developing.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed, with the highest package of around 10 LPA. Bosch is one of the recruiters. There are many relevant job opportunities and placements available on campus. Many students have been placed in reputed companies with good packages. Mechanical engineering is booming in the future and has very good scope.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, canteen, and hostel facilities. The quality is good and excellent. The sports department is very helpful and kind. Facilities are available at any time for support.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They treat students very well and clarify doubts. The curriculum is relevant and helps students understand their passion and what they want to do after engineering. Exams are a bit difficult but manageable.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mechanical engineering.

Really good environment for pursuing a bachelor’s.
Placements: The majority of students in my course get placed after appropriate placement training. Primary recruitments are from established companies like Bosch, TCS, Capgemini, and many other companies. The placement cell puts a lot of effort into training us by analyzing the job roles we want to work in.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. It includes classrooms, academic blocks, and areas to relax and spend time with friends. The canteen is brand new and has a modern environment, which encourages student activities and unity.
Faculty: Personally, my department faculty members are very helpful and supportive, both academically and in co-curricular activities. They also help students build a strong base for their passion. The teaching quality is very good. They make an effort to understand each student’s capability and give attention to their progress.
