Yes, VTU accepts Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) scores for admission to its Bachelor of technology programme (BE/BTech). In addition to Joint Entrance Examination Main, the college also accepts scores of other entrance exams such as COMEDK UGET,  Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET),  Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (KPGCET), etc. Candidates must also have valid eligibility criteria, i.e., a pass in Class 12 with 45% aggregate in PCM for GM students and above 40% aggregate for SC/ ST students.

Karnataka Examination Authority will commence the KCET application form facility after the conclusion of the exam at the official website. Applicants can make changes in the KCET application form in online mode. Candidates are allowed to make changes in certain fields only. Applicants are advised to cross-check all the details before submitting information. KEA do not entertain any request for change in KCET application form after the conclusion of correction facility.

A decent placement university.
Placements: I mean, placements are decent. As if talking about the core branch, slightly low for the data science departure, you can simply expect a 6-7 LPA package. It's worth it for KCET students because they had to pay a low fee as compared to COMEDK students, so if someone is from the north, prepare yourself to work hard.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average. Most of the buildings are the same, and we've got a beautiful gallery. But talking about sports facilities, they're really poor, like the football ground is literally unplayable, and a huge area is still organised. Talking about hostels, they're really expensive, as they actually are, so hostels are worse.
Faculty: I'd say most of the faculty members are good, really enjoyed studying under them. The curriculum is a bit off, like really irritating for students. In my department, some teachers were really good and chill. But I have heard about my friends' teachers, they say they're really strict and supportive, but that amount is less, you'll find really supportive teachers.
Other: If coming from COMEDK, don't really rely on college only, but be ready to put in all your effort.

Placements: If you are looking for placements BMSIT is a very good option. In the batch of 2023 93 percent of the students have landed good jobs. The highest package is 46.40LPA and the average package offered is 8.97LPA. 75 percent of the CSE students are placed. Even the internship opportunities are great with companies coming in to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great with multiple buildings and multiple labs all of which have great internet and services available which can be used anytime. The library has a collection of books in every field with all the necessary textbooks references and an e library to browse research papers and more. The college hostels are great with proper cots and beds and also separate cupboards for each person. Hygienic food is provided to all. A sports room is available with all the components required to play and courts for badminton volleyball and basketball are available and a ground for cricket as well.
Faculty: All teachers are required to have a Ph.D. which is quite helpful because they have a wide knowledge of the subject they teach. Teachers are very friendly and solve all the doubts and are also available at all times. The curriculum is followed as per VTU and the exam criteria involve good testing of knowledge with scenario based real life learning.

The infrastructure and all the facilities are just okay.
Placements: Most of all, like 70 percent of students got placed in AIML, and the Amazon company has recruited with a 50 LPA job, and many students get recruited over here. So I can tell that the main things, like Mindtree company and others, are more than 300 companies that come over here.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi works well in all the departments, and hostel facilities are just ok, not that good. I can suggest that you take the CSE core rather than CSE in AIML, because in this college, the main preference is for that branch, and the strength is also good.
Faculty: The teachers teach us a lot, and they are also good, and they will always be in an understandable manner, so this is an autonomous college. Internals are easy, and you can expect it from PYQs, and here, seniors are so friendly and never rag juniors. Teachers are well-experienced.
Other: The fests over here are super amazing, and you can enjoy a lot with your friends and hill over here in 1st semester.

Best college for engineering in Mysuru with modern, huge and green campus.
Placements: As of now, when I asked seniors who are currently in 4th year, half of them are already placed who are eligible, with the highest package of around 30 LPA. According to seniors, if you are eligible, the college would help its best for students to get placed with proper training and practice.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with all basic facilities and services available like Wi-Fi enabled campus, digital library, sport grounds, gym, prayer hall with greenery and cleanliness maintained all around campus. Hostel is good at the price they offer with decent food, as everyone’s taste differs.
Faculty: As a fresher I don't have much experience of semester exams, but internals and lab marks depend on the faculty, and almost every faculty is highly qualified and they give maximum marks, but still few strict teachers give very less. Attendance is 85 percent from college side. It lacks only in digital, like it doesn't have its own app, but it’s not a big problem.

Peaceful campus with good infrastructure for CSE.
Placements: I’m from the CSE department at SDMCET, and placements are quite good. Around 80–90 percent of students who prepare properly get placed. The highest package touched around 14 LPA, and the average is about 4–5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and a few startups visit regularly.
Infrastructure: The CSE department at SDMCET has well-maintained classrooms, updated computer labs and stable Wi-Fi for most academic work. The campus is clean, green and peaceful, and the library is one of the best facilities with good seating and access to digital resources. Overall, the infrastructure supports learning well. Hostel facilities are average but manageable, with decent rooms, hot water, basic amenities and reasonable security. Food quality is okay and varies, and hostel Wi-Fi can be slow during peak hours but works fine for regular study needs.
Faculty: The CSE faculty at SDMCET is generally helpful and knowledgeable, and most teachers explain concepts clearly and support students during labs and projects. The curriculum is updated regularly and covers core subjects like DSA, DBMS, OS, OOP, networking and emerging technologies, which helps in building industry-ready skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you attend classes and study consistently, passing is manageable. The pass percentage in CSE is usually high, as internal assessment and lab work also contribute to the final grade.
Other: My batch had a good academic and campus experience. I chose CSE because I am interested in coding and wanted strong career opportunities in software. The course offers solid fundamentals with useful lab work, which is one of the best parts. I wish there were more hackathons, coding events and advanced electives. SDMCET has a vibrant campus with fests like Cresfest and Impetus, and the crowd is friendly and active in clubs and activities. The surroundings are peaceful, and connectivity to the city is good. Scholarships are available for eligible students.

Placements: The placements of this college are good. The average package of this college is around 10 to 11 LPA, and the median package of this college is around 9 LPA. Infrastructure: The hostel and college infrastructure are good, but the building is now outdated because it is an old-established college. This college was established around the 1970s. The campus is well-maintained, and it's a lush green campus, and you get full campus Wi-Fi coverage.
