Review of North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling.

Placements: Many students prefer to pursue PG after completion of the course. Many students get job offers. The average package offered is 7 LPA. Internships are mandatory in government hospitals. Roles offered are JR and medical officer. The private hospital offers an attractive salary.

If you have many options and no financial problem, you can go to another option.

Placements: 40 percent of students got placed from my course. No package given, only a salary of Rs. 12000 per month. No top company hires from our college. A physiotherapist has a great role but no role in our lives. Our college could not provide any placement. Our internship does not give any salary.

Oldest medical college in Asia and still number one in West Bengal, though it needs improvement.

Placements: In our batch, there are 250 students. There is no direct placement. After 4.5 years in MBBS, you work as an intern, where you receive a stipend that depends on the college in which you are posted. On average, it is nearly equal to Rs. 40,000 per month.

Follow and listen to your passion.

Placements: As this is a medical college, 100 percent got placed here, some got good placement, some got medium. The highest package offered in our college is 50 LPA. The lowest package is 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Apollo, Manipal, etc.

Really good college in WB.

Placements: Placements were good but not according to proper choices, as the people who were the closest to the management were given proper places. Rest of the things were good, and the salary was good. I left the job because it was far away from me. The bond penalty was Menace for 5 LPA.

It's a great college with great teachers.

Placements: It gives a great placement because it’s a government medical college with 4.5 years of MBBS and 1 year of compulsory internship you have to do. You also have a great opportunity to do MS/MD, which is also a developed portion with a great system.
