What is YCMOU Exam?

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) Nashik, established in 1989 by the Maharashtra State Legislature, offers more than 50 programmes under multiple streams, including Engineering, Science, Management, Arts and more. The University conducts the YCMOU Exam twice a year for students enrolled on these programmes.

The YCMOU Exam is for repeaters as well as freshers. Candidates need to submit the YCMOU exam form and fees to appear for these exams. The exams are conducted by three units- Exam Unit 1, Exam Unit 2 and Exam Unit 3.

Filling YCMOU exam form

The YCMOU exam process starts with the submission of the exam form. The YCMOU exam form is made available to students 2 to 3 months before the commencement of the exams. The exam form can be downloaded from the official university portal. The last date for submitting the exam form is notified by the University.

Release of YCMOU timetable

The YCMOU timetable is released by the University to inform students about the exam dates and schedule of all the courses/ papers. The timetable is released unit-wise for Exam Units 1, 2 and 3. The timetable contains the following details- programme code, programme name, exam date and exam fee.

YCMOU Hall Ticket

The YCMOU hall ticket is usually released about 10 days before the exam on the official website — www.ycmou.ac.in. Students must download and print their hall ticket and bring it to the exam centre. Entry to the examination hall is not permitted without the hall ticket.

Appearing in YCMOU Exam

YCMOU conducts semester examinations twice a year. Students are required to appear for these exams and pass them to progress to the next level of their course or programme.

Declaration of YCMOU Result

After the exams are completed, YCMOU publishes the results on its official website. Students can view their results by logging in with their credentials. Those who qualify receive a passing certificate, which remains valid until the original degree or diploma is issued.

 VMOU YCMOU Cutoff 2026 is valid for admission to more than 50 programmes under multiple streams, like Engineering, Science, Management, Arts, etc. The VMOU YCMOU Cutoff 2024 for the General category candidates under the Home State quota is 77.03 for admission to the M.Sc. In Chemistry programme.
