YBN University Ranchi does not provide cut-off scores for any of the courses. Because most of the selection is done through merit-based. The good scores in the qualifying examination will lead to high chances of admission. However, students can consider the opening and closing ranks as cut off marks.

YBN University offers scholarships to students. As per the information available on the university website, major scholarships offered to students under different schemes which has been mentioned below: 

Merit Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on the national entrance exam or toppers of the centre and state boards.

Financial Aid: Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on need-based, orphan applicants, persons with certain disability, and defence and central armed police forces.

YBN University BSc admission can be granted based on the applicants performance in Class 12 or equivalent examination. Thus, the performance in Class 12 can be evaluated. The university may offer entrance-based admission as well in some of the specialisations. It can accept university/ state/ national-level entrance exams. Hence, scores of CUET may get accepted. Besides, it is crucial that the course aspirants meet the prescribed eligibility requirements. 

YBN University accepts admission through both CUET and its own entrance test, YBN University Entrance Test (YBNUET). YBN University conducts its own entrance exam to select candidates for Ph.D. admission. Candidates must have received a passing grade in the relevant subject in Class 12 from an approved board in order to be considered for admission to any undergraduate programme at YBN University.

For engineering graduates YBN univeristy has SCHOOL OF ENIGINNERING  It is one of the largest schools in the YBN University and offers three years diploma, four years B.Tech and two years M.Tech.
programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE and Computer Science Engineering. The three years diploma, four years B.Tech Degree course with an annual intake of 30 students in each streams and two years M.Tech programme in all branches. The annual intake in the postgraduate programme is 18 in each stream.
