YBN University accepts admission through both CUET and its own entrance test, YBN University Entrance Test (YBNUET). YBN University conducts its own entrance exam to select candidates for Ph.D. admission. Candidates must have received a passing grade in the relevant subject in Class 12 from an approved board in order to be considered for admission to any undergraduate programme at YBN University.

YBN University Ranchi does not provide cut-off scores for any of the courses. Because most of the selection is done through merit-based.
