Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is an entry level examination for Company Secretary course. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts CSEET examination thrice in a year. Students seeking to appear for CS Executive Programme examination must appear for CSEET exam. Before applying for the exam, candidates must understand the CSEET eligibility criteria 2026, including educational qualifications, age requirements, and exemptions. CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before filling CSEET 2026 application form, candidates must make sure to fulfill below CSEET eligibility requirements prescribed by ICSI.

CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

The educational qualification is the most important part of the CSEET eligibility criteria. Students fulfilling any one of the following conditions are eligible to appear for CSEET:

  • Passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board
  • Appearing in the Class 12 examination
  • Passed an equivalent examination recognised by the Central or State Government
  • Undergraduate students (in any discipline) from a recognised university

Note: Students who are appearing for class 12th examination can register for CSEET. However, they must pass Class 12 before enrolling in the CS Executive Programme

ICSI does not prescribed any minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in CSEET. Below candidates can apply for CSEET exam:

Q:   How can I know if my Desktop or Laptop is meeting the system requirement for CSEET online exam?

CSEET mock test is conducted to familiarise candidates to the actual test environment and also validate the compatibility of the software and hardware. If the candidate encounters any technical issue during the mock test they must contact the technical support notified on the email address sent to all the candidates. The contact details will also be mentioned on the CSEET admit card. Candidates may contact the technical authorities on all working days from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Sunday. Candidates preparing for the CSEET exam must ensure to fulfill the IT requirements. Q:   How many attempts are there in CSEET?
A: 

There are no prescribed number of attempts for CSEET. Candidates can appear for the CSEET exam in multiple attempts until qualified. The validity of the CSEET scorecard is one year. ICSI conducts CSEET examination three times in a year, i.e., February, June and October. Candidates can choose to appear for any of the three sessions. However, candidates must stay updated with the cut off dates of CSEET examination.

Q:   When can I apply for CS Executive Programme examination?
A: 

Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET January 2026 result was announced on January 20. Candidates who are declared 'pass' can register for the CS Executive exam (single group). 

The CS Executive June 2026 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be held from June 01 onwards. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the cutoff dates of ICSI CS Executive June/December session at https://www.shiksha.com/college/icsi-delhi-institute-of-company-secretaries-of-india/icsi-exam-dates.

CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: What is CSEET Exemption?

While CSEET is mandatory for most candidates, ICSI provides exemptions to certain professional qualification holders. The following candidates are not required to appear for CSEET:

  • Graduate or postgraduate candidates
  • CA (Final) qualified candidates
  • CMA (Final) qualified candidates
  • CS Foundation passed candidates (from earlier scheme)

Such candidates can directly seek registration to the CS Executive Programme, subject to ICSI guidelines.

  • The CSEET result remains valid for 3 years

The ideal time to start practicing from CSEET mock tests is when you have covered 60-70% of the syllabus. It will give you an idea of where your preparation level stands and how much practice you need till exma date.

It is bad if you fail your CSEET mock test, as ICSI releases these tests only a week before the actual exam date and now you don't have enough time to work more on your preparation.

But, you should not loose hope as it may be due to the nervousness of the exam. Focus on important topics and keep calm

No, it is not mandatory to pass in CSEET mock tests. These tests are provided for candidates to get a clear picture of their preparation level and make them understand the types of questions in exam.

Once ICSI releases CSEET mock test, you can appear for the same by following steps below:

  • Click on link sent to the registered email ID
  • Login by entering Login ID and Password
  • CSEET mock test will appear on the screen
  • Appear for the mock test
  • Check the correct and incorrect answers.

Yes, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India has made certain changes in the exam structure of CSEET exam from June 2026 onwards. One of the biggest change is that the exam will now be conducted in offline mode.

ICSI is expected to release the result for CSEET June 2026 exam in the last week of July 2026. The direct link to download CSEET June 2026 scorecard will be released at icsi.edu. ICSI will conduct CSEET June exam 2026 between June 01 and June 04, 2026, in offline mode.

ICSI will open CSEET October enrollment window on July 01, 2026. The last date to enroll for the examination without late fee is August 07, 2026, and with late fee is August 20, 2026. The CSEET Oct 2026 registration window will close on May 31, 2026.
