CSEET Eligibility Criteria
Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is an entry level examination for Company Secretary course. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts CSEET examination thrice in a year. Students seeking to appear for CS Executive Programme examination must appear for CSEET exam. Before applying for the exam, candidates must understand the CSEET eligibility criteria 2026, including educational qualifications, age requirements, and exemptions. Before filling CSEET 2026 application form, candidates must make sure to fulfill below CSEET eligibility requirements prescribed by ICSI.
CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is the most important part of the CSEET eligibility criteria. Students fulfilling any one of the following conditions are eligible to appear for CSEET:
- Passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board
- Appearing in the Class 12 examination
- Passed an equivalent examination recognised by the Central or State Government
- Undergraduate students (in any discipline) from a recognised university
Note: Students who are appearing for class 12th examination can register for CSEET. However, they must pass Class 12 before enrolling in the CS Executive Programme

There are no prescribed number of attempts for CSEET. Candidates can appear for the CSEET exam in multiple attempts until qualified. The validity of the CSEET scorecard is one year. ICSI conducts CSEET examination four times in ayear i.e, January, May, July and November. Candidates can choose to appear for any of the four sessions. However, candidates must stay updated with the cut off dates of CSEET examination.
The number of students registered or appeared for the CSEET exam is not notified by ICSI. Soon after the declaration of results, ICSI announces the CSEET pass percentage which shows the percentage of students who have cleared the CSEET exam.

ICSI does not prescribed any minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in CSEET. Below candidates can apply for CSEET exam:
- School students
- College students
- Working professionals
CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: What is CSEET Exemption?
While CSEET is mandatory for most candidates, ICSI provides exemptions to certain professional qualification holders. The following candidates are not required to appear for CSEET:
- Graduate or postgraduate candidates
- CA (Final) qualified candidates
- CMA (Final) qualified candidates
- CS Foundation passed candidates (from earlier scheme)
Such candidates can directly seek registration to the CS Executive Programme, subject to ICSI guidelines.

Validity of CSEET Qualification
Once a candidate qualifies CSEET:
- The CSEET result remains valid for 3 years
- Candidates must enroll in the CS Executive Programme within this validity period

Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET January 2026 results will be announced soon after exam. Candidates who are declared 'pass' will be able to register for the CS Executive exam (single group).
The CS Executive June 2026 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be held from June 01 onwards. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the cutoff dates of ICSI CS Executive June/December session at https://www.shiksha.com/college/icsi-delhi-institute-of-company-secretaries-of-india/icsi-exam-dates.
Candidates appearing for the CSEET online proctored examination must ensure to fulfill the following technical requirements to appear for the exam without any hassle and avoid any technical glitches. Check the list below to know the IT/Software requirements for online proctored examination:
- Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions) or Windows 8
- 2 Core Processor
- 4 GB or above RAM
- 1024*768 screen resolution
- Chrome the latest version
- Web camera
- Microphone
- Minimum 64 MB graphics
- Stable internet connection
- Proper internet speed
- Antivirus to be disabled and be re-installed post the examination
- Download Anydesk
- Download Safe Exam Browser or SEBLite.
- After logging in, candidates must read the instructions carefully.
- Each question is the CSEET question paper will have four answers marked as A, B, C and D. Candidates must choose one option and mark the same
- Candidates can make changes in chosen answer by simply clicking on the other option
- Candidates must not click on 'End Test' tab without answering the questions
- Countdown clock will start as soon as the exam is started
- During the Test, the candidates can use the Marked for Review option by clicking on Marked for Review button
