Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is an entry level examination for Company Secretary course. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts CSEET examination thrice in a year - February, June and October. Students seeking to appear for CS Executive Programme examination must appear for CSEET exam. Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET January 2026 result was announced on January 20. Candidates who are declared 'pass' can register for the CS Executive exam (single group).
The CS Executive June 2026 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be held from June 01 onwards. Candidates willing to appear for the CS Executive Entrance Test CSEET must ensure to fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Check below to know the CSEET eligibility criteria: 1. Candidates applying for CSEET must not be less than 17 years in age as on the date of application. 2. Candidates must have complete class 12th or equivalent from a recognised board. 3. Graduate/Post Graduate candidates who were eligible to seek registration directly to the Executive Programme will also have to qualify CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme. 4. CSEET is mandatory for all category candidates for registration to Executive programme. Only candidates who will fulfill the above criteria will be able to appear for the CSEET exam.

CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2026
Before filling CSEET 2026 application form, candidates must make sure to fulfill below CSEET eligibility requirements prescribed by ICSI.
CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is the most important part of the CSEET eligibility criteria. Students fulfilling any one of the following conditions are eligible to appear for CSEET:
- Passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board
- Appearing in the Class 12 examination
- Passed an equivalent examination recognised by the Central or State Government
- Undergraduate students (in any discipline) from a recognised university
Note: Students who are appearing for class 12th examination can register for CSEET. However, they must pass Class 12 before enrolling in the CS Executive Programme
CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Age Limit
ICSI does not prescribed any minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in CSEET. Below candidates can apply for CSEET exam:

Candidates can enter the CSEET exam centre preference while filling the registration form. CSEET 2025 application form is available for January session. While filling the CSEET application form candidates will be able to select up exam cities as per their preference. CSEET 2025 exam will be a remote proctored test.
The number of students registered or appeared for the CSEET exam is not notified by ICSI. Soon after the declaration of results, ICSI announces the CSEET pass percentage which shows the percentage of students who have cleared the CSEET exam.
There are no prescribed number of attempts for CSEET. Candidates can appear for the CSEET exam in multiple attempts until qualified. The validity of the CSEET scorecard is one year. ICSI conducts CSEET examination three times in a year, i.e., February, June and October. Candidates can choose to appear for any of the three sessions. However, candidates must stay updated with the cut off dates of CSEET examination.
The qualifying marks for CSEET are:
- The candidate need to score at least 40% in each paper/subject
- Candidates have to obtain an aggregate of 50% marks in all papers combined.
Candidates meeting above criteria shall be considered pass. Qualified candidates can register for the CS Executive programme. ICSI CS Executive registrations are open throughout the year. Students must check the last date to apply for CS Executive June or December.

CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Registration
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India states that a candidate is eligible to register for CSEET 2026 if he/she meets following requirements:
- The candidate must be an Indian National.
- Candidate must have passed or appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination and equivalent.
Validity of CSEET Registration
As per ICSI revised guidelines, the validy criteria for CSEET registration is as follows:
- The CSEET registration remains valid for 3 years from the month of registration.
Validity of CSEET Result
Once a candidate qualifies CSEET:
- The CSEET result remains valid for only 1 year from the date of declaration of result
- Candidates must enroll in the CS Executive Programme within this validity period
CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: What is CSEET Exemption?
While CSEET is mandatory for most candidates, ICSI provides exemptions to certain professional qualification holders. The following candidates are not required to appear for CSEET, if they have passed:
- ICSI Foundation Examination
- CA Final conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
- Cost Accountancy Final conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India
- Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Degree Examinations
Apart from these students, those who are appearing in the final year/ final semester exam of their Bachelor's Degree can also directly register for CS Executive course.

CSEET Qualifying Marks
According to the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, the passing criteria for CSEET examination are as follows:
- Candidate must have scored at least 40% marks in each paper
- Candidates must have scored a minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all papers
Note - ICSI does not offer any exemption or carry forward of marks in CSEET exam.
CSEET Pass Percentage
After the exam is conducted, ICSI releases the pass percentage for a particular session, along with the declaration of its result. The CSEET pass percentage mentioned the percentage of students who have cleared the exam and are now eligibile for CS Executive exam.
