Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is an entry level examination for Company Secretary course. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts CSEET examination thrice in a year - February, June and October. Students seeking to appear for CS Executive Programme examination must appear for CSEET exam. Before applying for the exam, candidates must understand the CSEET eligibility criteria 2026, including educational qualifications, age requirements, and exemptions. Q:   When can I apply for CS Executive Programme examination?
A: 

Candidates who have qualified the CSEET exam will be able to apply for the CS Executive exam. CSEET January 2026 result was announced on January 20. Candidates who are declared 'pass' can register for the CS Executive exam (single group). 

The CS Executive June 2026 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be held from June 01 onwards. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the cutoff dates of ICSI CS Executive June/December session at https://www.shiksha.com/college/icsi-delhi-institute-of-company-secretaries-of-india/icsi-exam-dates.

Q:   What are the prerequisites for CSEET online proctored examination?
A: 

Candidates appearing for the CSEET online proctored examination must ensure to fulfill the following technical requirements to appear for the exam without any hassle and avoid any technical glitches. Check the list below to know the IT/Software requirements for online proctored examination:

  1. Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions) or Windows 8
  2. 2 Core Processor
  3. 4 GB or above RAM
  4. 1024*768 screen resolution
  5. Chrome the latest version
  6. Web camera
  7. Microphone
  8. Minimum 64 MB graphics
  9. Stable internet connection
  10. Proper internet speed
  11. Antivirus to be disabled and be re-installed post the examination
  12. Download Anydesk
  13. Download Safe Exam Browser or SEBLite.
Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for CSEET?
A: 

Candidates willing to appear for the CS Executive Entrance Test CSEET must ensure to fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Check below to know the CSEET eligibility criteria: 1. Candidates applying for CSEET must not be less than 17 years in age as on the date of application. 2. Candidates must have complete class 12th or equivalent from a recognised board. 3. Graduate/Post Graduate candidates who were eligible to seek registration directly to the Executive Programme will also have to qualify CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme. 4. CSEET is mandatory for all category candidates for registration to Executive programme. Only candidates who will fulfill the above criteria will be able to appear for the CSEET exam.

CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

The educational qualification is the most important part of the CSEET eligibility criteria. Students fulfilling any one of the following conditions are eligible to appear for CSEET:

  • Passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board
  • Appearing in the Class 12 examination
  • Passed an equivalent examination recognised by the Central or State Government
  • Undergraduate students (in any discipline) from a recognised university

Note: Students who are appearing for class 12th examination can register for CSEET. However, they must pass Class 12 before enrolling in the CS Executive Programme

Q:   If I have not cleared class 12th examination, can I apply for CSEET?
A: 

If a candidate has not cleared class 12th exmaination, he/she will not be able to apply for CSEET exam. As per ICSI CSEET exam criteria, candidates must be appearing or passed in class 12th examination or equivalent to apply for exam. Candidates will be required to submit class 12th marksheet while applying for CS Executive examination.

Q:   What is the process of appearing for CSEET exam in online proctored mode?
A: 
  1. After logging in, candidates must read the instructions carefully.
  2. Each question is the CSEET question paper will have four answers marked as A, B, C and D. Candidates must choose one option and mark the same
  3. Candidates can make changes in chosen answer by simply clicking on the other option
  4. Candidates must not click on 'End Test' tab without answering the questions
  5. Countdown clock will start as soon as the exam is started
  6. During the Test, the candidates can use the Marked for Review option by clicking on Marked for Review button
Q:   How many students appear for CSEET exam?
A: 

The number of students registered or appeared for the CSEET exam is not notified by ICSI. Soon after the declaration of results, ICSI announces the CSEET pass percentage which shows the percentage of students who have cleared the CSEET exam.

CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Registration

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India states that a candidate is eligible to register for CSEET 2026 if he/she meets following requirements:

  • The candidate must be an Indian National.
  • Candidate must have passed or appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination and equivalent.

CSEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: What is CSEET Exemption?

While CSEET is mandatory for most candidates, ICSI provides exemptions to certain professional qualification holders. The following candidates are not required to appear for CSEET, if they have passed:

  • ICSI Foundation Examination
  • CA Final conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
  • Cost Accountancy Final conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Degree Examinations

Apart from these students, those who are appearing in the final year/ final semester exam of their Bachelor's Degree can also directly register for CS Executive course.

Q:   Does ICSI CSEET have an age limit?
A: 

There is no prescribed age criteria to apply for ICSI CSEET examination. Candidates who meet the academic qualification criteria can apply for CSEET exam irrespective of age. ICSI CSEET June 2026 registrations are ongoing. Candidates can apply for the exam till the prescribed last date.

Q:   How can I enter CSEET exam centre preference?
A: 

Candidates can enter the CSEET exam centre preference while filling the registration form. CSEET 2025 application form is available for January session. While filling the CSEET application form candidates will be able to select up exam cities as per their preference. CSEET 2025 exam will be a remote proctored test.

Q:   How can I know if my Desktop or Laptop is meeting the system requirement for CSEET online exam?
A: 
CSEET mock test is conducted to familiarise candidates to the actual test environment and also validate the compatibility of the software and hardware. If the candidate encounters any technical issue during the mock test they must contact the technical support notified on the email address sent to all the candidates. The contact details will also be mentioned on the CSEET admit card. Candidates may contact the technical authorities on all working days from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Sunday. Candidates preparing for the CSEET exam must ensure to fulfill the IT requirements. Validity of CSEET Registration

As per ICSI revised guidelines, the validy criteria for CSEET registration is as follows:

  • The CSEET registration remains valid for 3 years from the month of registration.

Validity of CSEET Result

Once a candidate qualifies CSEET:

  • The CSEET result remains valid for only 1 year from the date of declaration of result
  • Candidates must enroll in the CS Executive Programme within this validity period

CSEET Passing Criteria

According to the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, the passing criteria for CSEET examination are as follows:

  • Candidate must have scored at least 40% marks in each paper
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all papers

Note - ICSI does not offer any exemption or carry forward of marks in CSEET exam.

No, it is not mandatory to pass in CSEET mock tests. These tests are provided for candidates to get a clear picture of their preparation level and make them understand the types of questions in exam.
