NMIMS NPAT 2026: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) will conduct NPAT 2026 exam for admission to BBA, BSc, and BCom courses. NPAT or NMIMS Programs After Twelfth is an entrance exam conducted for admission into courses including BBA, BSc (Finance), BSc (Economics), BCom (Hons.), B.A. (Hons) Liberal Arts and BBM. NMIMS NPAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates aspiring for BBA admission through NPAT 2026 must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the NPAT exam. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility conditions will face rejection from the examination process. Space below mentions the eligibility criteria for NPAT 2026 prescribed by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

  • Candidates applying for the NPAT exam must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination (inclusive of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in any stream)
  • Candidates can submit an IB diploma only if it is awarded by a recognised board. IB certificate holders are not eligible for the test.
  • Candidates passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination from open or distance learning (ODL) are also eligible to apply for the exam. In this case, the school should be recognised by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
  • Candidates who have not been able to clear 10+2 either from CBSE or ICSE board or IB diploma in their first attempt are not eligible for the NPAT exam
  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 60 per cent in 10+2 or equivalent examination
  • Candidates holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at the standard level
  • Candidates having cleared either CBSE/ ICSE board exam need to mention the aggregate marks of all the subjects of Class 10 or equivalent examination. The marks of best of four or five subjects will not be considered.
  • Candidates exceeding the age of 25 years are not eligible to apply for the exam

Note: Minimum qualifying score for admissions through NPAT exam is set as 50 per cent.

Yes. Maths is not a mandatory eligibility condition to appear for NPAT exam. SVKMs NMIMS conducts NPAT exam for admission to eight different courses offered by different campuses. As many as six b-schools participate in the NPAT examination process. These b-schools offer more than one course for admission. Q:   What is the mode of release of NPAT registration?
A: 

SVKM's NMIMS releases the NPAT application form in an online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for the NPAT exam need to apply for the exam online. No other mode is available for the NPAT registration. NMIMS will not entertain any requests for offline submission of the application form. After submitting the online application form, candidates must take a print out of the NPAT form to retain the same for future references. However, this print-out is not required to be sent to the official authority. The copy of the filled in NPAT registration form can be used for reference to find any discrepancies in the admit card or merit list.

NPAT 2026 Admit Card

SVKMs NMIMS releases the NPAT admit card immediately after the applicant schedules the exam. Candidates can download the admit card as soon as it is generated after the NPAT slot booking. Alternatively, one can visit the official website (nmimsnpat.in) anytime before the exam date to download the NPAT 2026 admit card. Candidates can view the exam date, exam city and complete address of the test centre on the admit card. Candidates appearing for the exam need to carry a hard copy of the NPAT admit card at the exam centre. On failing to carry the admit card, candidates will face denial in entry to the NPAT exam centre. On-duty staff at the exam centre verifies the details along with the photograph on the admit card with the candidate. In addition to the admit card, candidates need to carry an original as well as a photocopy of government-approved ID proof on the exam day.

SVKM's NMIMS releases the NPAT 2026 results over the institute's official login website. Candidates have to log in using their email ID and password to check the NMIMS NPAT results. Candidates have to provide application number and password to access the NPAT login dashboard to check results. The step-wise process to check NPAT result is mentioned below:

  1. Visit official website of NMIMS
  2. Click on tab for ‘NPAT 2024 Result’.
  3. Click on the course you need to check the NPAT merit list for.
  4. Fill login credentials followed by clicking 'Get Result' button.

NPAT 2026 Counselling

Counselling of NPAT-based admissions is an online process that starts with the release of the merit list. NMIMS prepares the NPAT merit list based on the performance of the test taker in the exam. The best of three scores are taken into consideration while preparing the NPAT merit list. Candidates selected as per the NPAT merit list receive an offer letter from the participating institute. Based on the NPAT admission offer, candidates must fill out the admission form and the relevant documents. NMIMS will release a fee deposit notice for the selected candidates on verification of the documents along with the RTGS/NEFT details. Candidates interested in NMIMS admission must pay the fee before the stipulated date.

Q:   How can I check my NPAT merit list in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Navi Mumbai?

A candidate can check their NPAT result  on the login portal of official website of NMIMS by providing their login credentials, NPAT ID and date of birth. A candidate can view their result along with the merit list to know their qualifying scores. NPAT merit list is made on the basis of the marks scored by students in NPAT NMIMS along with their campus preferences. The shortlisted students should pay the fees in the given time offered to them to secure the seats alloted to them. Merit list can be affected by number of students, availability of seats, previous trends, etc.

Q:   How is NPAT score calculated?
A: 

SVKMs NMIMS conducts the NPAT exam with no negative marking. Candidates who take the NPAT exam are evaluated based on the marking scheme set by the examination authority. Each correct response marked by the candidate fetches (+)1 mark. Since there is no negative marking, candidates do not get any negative marks for incorrect responses or unattempted questions. Therefore, candidates takjing the NPAT exam can answer all the questions, weather or not they know the answer to a particular question. Guess work may lead to a correct response.

NPAT score is not released by SVKMs NMIMS, the institute specifies the NPAT merit position along with the results.

Candidates proceeding to view the NPAT results will come across multiple details on the login window. These details are based on the performance of the candidate, and the details he/she filled during the NPAT registration process. Candidates will come across the follwoing details mentioned inside the NPAT result login:

  • Applied/Allotted schools

Q:   When will NMIMS conduct NPAT exam?

SVKMs NMIMS conducts the NPAT exam within a testing window of more than 100 days. Candidates can take up to three attempts of NPAT exam during this testing window. The examination window is typically facilitated from the first week of January to the last week of May. Candidates must keep track of the official website to know NPAT exam dates and event schedule.

Candidates can choose the desired exam date within the testing window to appear for the NPAT exam for UG admissions.

Q:   Which section is the toughest in NPAT exam?
A: 

When closely evaluated, the Quantitative and Numerical Ability is the most difficult and time-taking section in the NPAT exam over the year. However, few questions from the reasoning ability section are foudn to be lengthy as well as time taking but are on an easy to moderate side. The difficulty level across different sections may vary based on the exam session, and can be subjective to candidate's preparation. Therefore, candidates may find other section of the NPAT exam difficult.

Q:   In how many centres is NPAT exam conducted?
A: 

SVKMs NMIMS will conduct NPAT exam in 23 states/UT. Each state may have multiple cities where the NPAT exam centres will be located. Collectively, these 23 states have around 65 test cities. Candidates filling the NPAT application form have to fill the preferred test city to appear for the exam. SVKMs NMIMS will allot a test centre based on the preference of the candidate, available seats in the test centre, number of candidates interested in a particular location, etc.
