The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) functioning under Annamalai University was established in 1979. DDE Annamalai University offers more than two hundred different programmes of study under regular streams. DDE is credited with the largest enrolment in India that comprises both study centres and computer training centres. Presently, it has 55 study centres in Tamil Nadu and 16 additional study centres located in different parts of India.

DDE Annamalai University offers UG, PG, diploma, a PG diploma and certificate programmes across the streams of Arts, Science, Management, Fine Arts, Commerce, Social Work, Computer Applications, etc. All the programmes of study offered by the DDE have the approval of the Distance Education Council, New Delhi. B.Ed. programme offered through distance education mode is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi.

Annamalai University DDE Admission 2021: UG Courses

Annamalai University offers BA, BSc, BFA, BCom, BCA, etc. programmes at the UG level. Candidates, who have passed Class 12 in relevant subjects from a recognised board with minimum passing marks as specified by the authority, are eligible for admission to any of the UG courses offered at Annamalai University in distance learning mode. The University accepts merit-based admission of interested applicants. The duration of UG courses range between one to three years. At the PG level, Annamalai University DDE several courses, including MSc, MCom, MA, MBA, MFA, MCA, MSW, etc. Most of these courses are offered for a duration of two years. However, in case of lateral entry admission, the course duration reduces by a year. Some of the PG courses offered at Annamalai University DDE are made available to the students in both Tamil and English medium. The minimum qualification required for PG admission is a bachelor's degree in relevant stream from a recognised institution wth minimum passing marks as specified by the authority. Annamalai University DDE Application Process 2021

Annamalai University DDE application process 2021 is conducted online through its official website. An application fee of Rs 1,000 has to be paid using debit card/ credit card/ net banking to conclude the application process. The step-by-step application process of Annamalai University is given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Annamalai University (www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in). On its homepage, click on “Admissions DDE Portal”.

Step 2: On the left menu of the landing page, click on 'Course Wing' for which you wish to apply. Further, click on 'Online Payments' and from the drop-down menu that opens up, click on 'Application'

Step 3: Fill the registration-cum-application form with all the required details, including programme category, name, email ID, mobile number, address of communication, etc.

Step 4: Upload all the required documents in PDF format along with a passport-size photo of less than 50 kb in JPEG/ JPG format.

Step 5: Select the payment method. In case of offline payment, visit the nearest ICICI bank to deposit the money using net banking.

Step 9: Conclude the application process by taking a printout of the application form for future reference.
