Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose MBA at City College, Jayanagar?

Choosing the PCME (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Electronics) combination for my PreUniversity College (PUC) was a thoughtful decision. I have a keen interest in science and mathematics, and PCME aligns perfectly with my aspirations. It not only prepares me for engineering but also offers flexibility to explore other fields if I choose to. Overall, PCME equips me for an exciting academic journey! MBA offers a transformative experience, combining my personal growth with career advancement. It equips me with a global business perspective, enhancing my leadership skills, and opens doors to higher earning potential. As I aspire to lead organisations, launch my own venture and broaden my horizons, an MBA provides the knowledge, network and confidence to make a meaningful impact in the dynamic world of business.

Q2. How you cracked admission at City College, Jayanagar? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for this college?

t was a direct walk-in admission I have done to join MBA in this college. As I didn’t apply for any competitive exams, I had to opt for the management seat. To my luck I had a seat for me in this college. I had been to other colleges but wasn’t satisfied with the academic fees for a management seat. As I have an idea to start my own venture, i think to invest my amount in that rather than whopping management seat prices. Never the less I found this good college in the main part of the city with easy transportation, good infrastructure, practical classes, management events, talk shows and lots of Industrial visit.

Q3. How you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in future?

Life during an MBA program is a whirlwind of learning, networking, and personal growth. As an MBA student, my days were filled with a mix of academics, extracurricular activities, and building lasting connections. Academics, The core of an MBA program lies in the classroom. Lectures, case studies, and group discussions were my daily companions. I delved into subjects like Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Strategy. The workload was intense, but it was also intellectually stimulating. Late nights were spent poring over textbooks, preparing presentations, and collaborating with classmates. Networking, B-schools are hubs of networking opportunities. I attended guest lectures, industry events, and workshops.

These interactions allowed me to learn from seasoned professionals, gain insights into real-world challenges, and expand my horizons. The coffee breaks and post-class gatherings were as
important as the formal sessions – that’s where connections were forged. Group Projects, Collaborative projects were a significant part of my MBA experience. Working with diverse teams taught me about leadership, conflict resolution, and leveraging collective intelligence. We brainstormed, debated, and sometimes burned the midnight oil to meet deadlines. Career Development, MBA programs emphasize career growth. I attended resume workshops, mock
interviews, and company presentations. The anticipation of placements was both exciting and nervewracking. I honed my elevator pitch, researched companies, and prepared for interviews. Extracurriculars, Beyond academics, I participated in clubs, committees, and events.

Whether it was organizing a business fest, volunteering for social causes, or participating in sports, these activities added color to my MBA life. They also helped me develop soft skills like time management, teamwork, and adaptability. Balancing Act, Managing time was crucial. Balancing coursework, networking, and personal life required discipline. I learned to prioritize tasks, delegate when necessary, and occasionally say no. It was a juggling act, but it taught me resilience and adaptability. In retrospect, my MBA days were a blend of hard work, camaraderie, and self-discovery. The friendships forged during late-night study sessions and the knowledge gained in lecture halls remain invaluable. My short term goal is to become a Digital Marketer and my future plans is to become an Entrepreneur.
