GH Raisoni College: A Step Towards Entrepreneurship and Personal Growth

Why did I choose GH Raisoni College?

My reason for choosing GH Raisoni College was simple. I desired a campus where I could not only advance academically but also work on my personality and business plan. I thought it would be wise to take admission to an autonomous institute instead of a non-autonomous institute. My first and foremost goal is to learn new things and establish the necessary foundation for my future business. 

Balancing Startups and Academics: A Journey of Learning and Innovation

At present, I am working on two startups. The first one is a Marketing organization, and the second one is a Technology-oriented startup. While both are currently still in the conceptual phase, a lot has already been learned in terms of venture development, especially in terms of doggedness, imagination, and probable intellectual solutions. It has been quite rewarding doing all these things. But, at the same time, managing these startups alongside academics has not been easy. It has provided me an opportunity to practice what has been taught in class and even analyze actual issues. 

GH Raisoni College: A Unique Approach to Continuous and Fair Evaluation

In academic contexts, our evaluation system comprises 3 CAE and 4 TAE exams, each semester. Each CAE is of 20 marks. On the other hand, each TAE is of 10 marks. One major difference between GH Raisoni College and other colleges is that the mid-semester examinations do not exist here. However, we do have exams at the end of the semester, which are equally important as those mid-semester exams. In these exams, each subject has an equal weightage, with each having a written or a practical exam of 60 marks. In a semester, we have, all together, 8 subjects, but only five of them have written tests. This system helps us to be consistent with our study throughout the semester since the marks are spread throughout various assessments.

Entrepreneurial Challenges: Finding the Right People for My Vision

I think that the biggest problem I’ve come across so far is figuring out whom to hire. It would have been great if I could have had an opportunity to make connections with other like-minded people who are also interested and passionate about creating an enterprise. However, I have realised that the majority of my classmates and the students in various clubs and societies are mainly focused on jobs and placements. These are crucial for practical knowledge. But, I cannot feel a sense of connection to the place and people because it has always been my passion to build businesses and work with concepts. This has been one of the challenges. I am now looking out for people who are championing entrepreneurial-friendly causes. 

My Journey at GH Raisoni College: Growth, Challenges, and Entrepreneurial Goals

My overall college experience has not been bad. I have been actively participating in hackathons and events. These events have enabled me to make new friends from varying fields, get to know new ideas, and challenge myself at times. Engaging in these activities has made me perform things that I could normally not do or were too hard for me to perform. For instance, I identified that I had low confidence in public speaking as well as in pitching ideas and how, over the last few months, I have been feeling considerably better about those situations. 

In conclusion, my college journey so far is full of accomplishments and some difficulties as well. Of course, it will take me years to find the right circle of people. The most important thing is that I am ready to grow and to keep moving toward my goals. GH Raisoni College has enabled me to practice what I love and make strides towards becoming an entrepreneur. I have many goals in my life ahead, and I am eager to fulfill them.
