Hostel Fee and Facilities at MNIT, Jaipur

A mess committee comprising of the students decides the menu and the mess sticks to it quite well. 

Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur provides boarding and lodging facilities on campus to regular students. The current accommodation capacity of hostels is 3,333 and 1,058 for boys and girls respectively. The mess in the hostel is managed and regulated by MNIT Mess Council.

There are 11 hostels in total for male students on the campus and 4 hostels for female students.

Hostel and Mess Facilities

At MNIT, Jaipur campus and hostel one will get every facility that a student should have. A fully equipped gym will be at disposal of the students. A football ground, cricket ground, basketball courts, volleyball courts, indoor and outdoor tennis courts etc are also made available to the students in the college itself.

On average, advance hostel and mess fees come to around INR 32K to 47K.

Types of Accommodation at MNIT:

For Boys: First-year students are given shared accommodation. One will have two roommates to share the new adventures and experiences of college life. The rooms have a perfect design which amalgamates solitude and social well-being of individuals. The T-shaped rooms guarantee privacy for the three roommates at the edges and a commonplace in the intersection.

Every hostel room has a single bed, a cupboard, a table, a chair, a tube light, a fan and LAN connection for personal use. Every hostel has a boundary within which there are grounds designated for outdoor games, gardens etc. Almost every hostel has a common room with LCD television sets and table tennis setup.

From the second year onwards, single rooms are provided with all the basic facilities, however, washrooms are common.

In the first year, students are allotted hostel no.1, 2, 6 or 7.

For Girls: As far as girls’ hostels are concerned, there are four: 

1. A Block: Three students per room (for first-year students) or else a single room.

2. B Block: Two in each room.

3. Gargi Hostel: This is a mega hostel with a single person in each room.

4. Ganga Hostel: It's a recently constructed hostel so not much information is available.

Mess Facility at MNIT

The mess timings are

Breakfast: 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM

Lunch: 12 PM to 2 PM

Snacks: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM 

Dinner: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

As far as the quality of ingredients used, they are hygienic and healthy. Also, there’s a mess committee comprising of the students that decides the menu and the mess sticks to it quite well. While Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are covered in the mess fee, one might need to pay for the snacks readily available in mess or canteens.
