Overview
The college interview is conducted during the admissions and application process at various levels. You might also be asked to appear in a video interview.
How to Prepare:
Firstly, you need to find out if you have been selected for an interview if it's optional or not offered at all. If you’ve been shortlisted for an interview, go to the college’s site or reach out to someone in our college’s admission office to find out what you must do to set an interview up. If you have to travel to the college for an interview, you may also want to schedule a campus tour ahead of time for the same trip. After reaching for the scheduled interview, you can do several things to prepare. One important thing is to research and know about the college so you are ready to talk about why this college is a good fit for you.
More interview tips:
You really can’t fail or pass the interview, but you can definitely make a good impression on interviewers by keeping in mind the following:
· Dress decently, preferably in formals.
· Arrive soon.
· Be polite.
· Keep the tone formal.
· Be confident and avoid being arrogant.
· Honestly answer the questions asked.

2. Original certificates of the shortlisted candidates will be required at their time of personal interview (PI)/counselling before the Admission Committee. If the candidate is unable to bring their original certificates at this time, they will not be considered for admission. Two recent passport-size photographs are required as well.
After Being Shortlisted
1. The selected candidates are required to deposit fees at the time of counselling in the form of a bank draft drawn on a scheduled bank in favour of the Registrar, Malaviya National Institute of Technology.
2. The candidate needs to make their own arrangements for their stay when they come for the interview and/or counselling. No DA and TA are admissible.
3. If the candidate wishes to be admitted as a sponsored candidate, he or she must submit a certificate from their current employer on official stationery with a rubber stamp stating that he or she will be sponsored on study leave/deputation/extraordinary leave with permission to attend the full-time M.Tech if admitted. The employer must also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn mid-way till the completion of the course.
Usually, the interviews do not last more than an hour, though they can vary from 30 minutes to two hours depending on the candidate’s competency. Before meeting with your EC, try to anticipate some of the questions that you might be asked and brainstorm the answers. Talk with family and friends about their experiences of interviews, or read the college’s blog entries about past interviews. Telling stories and providing examples will give your interviewer a sense of your aspirations and passions. MNIT interviews are not usually done as formal affairs. You do not need to dress up for your interview. Finally, the truest thing for all parts of the application process is, just be yourself!

With 73 percentile (SC), you can qualify JEE Main B.Arch, but for NIT Jaipur or Bhopal, seats usually need higher percentile. Last year SC closing ranks were much better than 73%. So chances are very low.
