FICCI Higher Education Summit was organised at Vigyan Bhavan from Nov 27-29. The 15th edition of the three-day event was dedicated to cover Creative Economy-Nation Building: Higher Education as a catalyst. It was an international event on Higher Education, jointly organised by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and FICCI.

FICCI organises 15th Edition of Higher Education Summit

December 2, 2019: FICCI Higher Education Summit was organised at Vigyan Bhavan from Nov 27-29. The 15th edition of the three-day event was dedicated to cover Creative Economy-Nation Building: Higher Education as a catalyst. It was an international event on Higher Education, jointly organised by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and FICCI.
More than 1,250 Indian and foreign university presidents, vice chancellors, deans and other participants from Africa, Middle East, SAARC, CIS, Canada, the USA, and the UK, etc., participated at the conference. JIS University was a major partner in this summit. In its exhibition pavilion, JIS had a series of meetings with more than 127 educationists and vendors during these three days.

University Hosts Skill Exposition 2019

November 18, 2019: JIS University hosted two-day Skill Exposition event, SKILLX’19 in the University campus. The event acted as a platform for students to showcase their ability and creativity through working models. Over 120 students across 15 schools actively participated in the event presenting a variety of creative ideas such as Pharmaceutical Waste Management system, herbal facewash, Aquaponics, production of Mushroom, biocontrol agent & organic juice component from organic industrial waste, Accident Prevention Road safety model, Hightech Obstacle Avoidance Car, Data Transfer using LED technology and Human-Human interface.

University Organises First National Conference on Multidisciplinary Research

November 15, 2019: The JIS University organsied two-day National Conference on Multidisciplinary Research for the first time in the University campus. The conference was scheduled between November 12-13. It is an interdisciplinary research platform for academicians and researchers across India. University invited prominent dignitaries such as Director of JIS Institute of Advance Studies & Research, Ajoy Ray; Vice-President & CTO, Whistling Woods International, Chaitanya Chinchlikar; Member, World Water Council, Dr Snehal S Donde; and Scientist Dr Soumya Bandyopadhyay. The event witnessed the active participation of over 100 scholars who submitted research papers across various domains amongst which quality research papers were selected for discussion. The selected papers covered almost all major topics such as physics, biological sciences, chemistry, management, juridical sciences, education discipline, oral & dental sciences, computer and computational biology application.

JIS University is a well-known university which offers quality education to the students. The university is accredited by NAAC and recognised by the UGC. The university is collaborated with various institute and motivate the students.

JIS University offers courses at UG, PG, diploma, certificate and doctoral levels. The university offers programmes across streams such as Engineering, Management, Arts, Science, etc. Candidates can fill out the form for the preferred course on the university's website.

JIS University applications are open. The university has not released the schedule yet. Aspirants can fill out the form online. Admission process for UG and PG courses usually start in March and January, respectively.

Candidates can apply online for a course at JIS University. Aspirants need to fill out the details on the university's website. Candidates have to pay the application fees for a course and upload documents. There is no appliction fees for JET.

JIS University conducts JET for admission to UG and PG courses. JET is an online test that can be taken from home. The test includes MCQs covering subjects such as General Knowledge/ Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, etc. The test is conducted for two hours.

JIS University considers WBJEE scores for admission to BPharm and BTech programmes. Such aspirants need to pass Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate with relevant subjects to apply via WBJEE scores.

Aspirants must pass graduationin any discipline with at least 50% aggregate to apply for MBA at JIS University. Candidates with 65% in graduation can apply. Aspirants also need to appear for JIS Entrance Test for admission to MBA.

Candidates must pass Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology to apply for BPharm at JIS University. 

Candidates with a minimum of 45% aggregate in PCM/ PCM in State Board or equivalent exam can get admission via WBJEE. Hence, Mathematics is not compulsory
