Our college provides the chance to participate as designer in fashion shows, says Shubhangi

I was always passionate about art. Drawing and Designing is something which, I always find interesting. I am always keen to know the latest trends in fashion and thus it made me very clear to pursue my course in fashion design.

I got a reference for INSD Kandivali from  insds’  web page while surfing. After studying reviews I got to know that this institute hires qualified and well-experienced faculties. I found that this college not only concentrates on academics but also keeps extracurricular activities that impart practical knowledge to you. Exhibitions and workshops are introduced to enhance the practical knowledge of students. Field visits are done to give practical exposure. They provide practical knowledge through workshops, industrial visits, market surveys, and brand surveys. The flexibility of timings was the key point that was essential for me.

When I visited International School of Design, Kandivali, the counselor gave details about the fashion designing course. I was interviewed before getting admission. I was asked fashion-related questions in the interview. My answers were satisfactory and my knowledge about fashion was good and thus, I got admission. This college examines your interest and capacity to understand subject through this process.

After these sessions, they promise to start your course from foundation if you are new to this stream. So one should not hesitate if you are fresher in this field.

We have three-hour long sessions for subjects. Our subject includes theory as well as practicals. Presentations make theory topics more interesting.  Extracurricular activities like display presentations, workshops, and exhibitions give us practical and technical knowledge about the course. We are motivated by these activities as our college offers certificates for participation. Field trips, Industrial visits give us knowledge about material sourcing.

Workshop are conducted, which keeps us energetic throughout study of lengthy modules.

Our college provides the chance to participate as designer in fashion shows.  I will definitely grab the opportunity if selected for the same. These shows are among all India branches of INSD. They conducted the foreign field visit which I feel is very necessary for fashion student to learn style of different countries.

Our teachers have always encouraged us for participation in activities which I feel is very important to build confidence in you. I have flared up from all angles after the admission in INSD.

I feel that my institute has groomed me from all perspectives to handle all challenges. Education provided by my institute has build a accomplished designer in me.

I am planning to open my new Boutique & Manufacturing unit.
