The entrance test for the Integrated MBA programme includes a knowledge-based test and an interview. The knowledge-based test can be taken up by any student who is appearing for Class 12 board or has passed it and can be from any field (Science, Commerce or Humanities) as the questions are general knowledge-based. No extra coaching classes are required for it. You just have to be aware of what all is going on in the present scenario.

Choosing Science in higher secondary was not an easy decision. However, my parents convinced me that this stream will give me more career options in the future. On the other hand, I knew was that I wanted to do MBA at some point of time and never actually had an interest in doing BTech. So, I was going to fill the form for BBA. Meanwhile, my parents came to know about NIIT University from one of our family friends whose children were alumni of the same University and were doing well in their career. When I searched for their placement record, it was good and I even came to know about their Integrated MBA programme, after which I was sure that NIIT University is the right place for me. The fact that they were providing specialisation in Fintech (Finance + Technology) attracted me even more towards the university because fintech is one of the emerging fields and not many universities in India provide a specialisation in Fintech.

I tried for Amity University as well for the Integrated MBA programme but the duration was five years whereas NIIT University offers the same programme with a duration of four years. Other than that the specialisations that NIIT University provides for Integrated MBA course are technical in nature and are in huge demand in the industry which are Finance+Banking+Technology, Business Analytics and Digital & Social Media marketing and are regularly updated with the help of industry professionals. The only challenge I had was the distance to university from my place.

NIIT University feels like a home when we are away from our home. The University is a fully residential University which means that the students can choose to opt for accommodation on campus. The mess provides food much better than most of the universities and colleges in India. On-campus my day starts with gym in the morning and then I go for breakfast at 8 am. We have our classes till 5:30 pm every day. After classes students are free to enjoy sports and other activities. We also have various student-driven clubs and students can choose to participate in more than one club. I am presently an active member of the theatre club of NIIT University which has fixed timing from 9 pm to 11 pm every day where we do brainstorming and generate ideas to make different street and stage plays.

With the help of Activity oriented course, I am able to get marks by doing activities that I love, like performing on stage as a part of the theatre or managing university events which also helps me develop management skills.

Since the day I have joined the University, a lot has changed in me. I have become more confident and have improved my communication skills by participating in different events. With the help of Activity oriented course, I am able to get marks by doing activities that I love, like performing on stage as a part of the theatre or managing university events which also helps me develop management skills. With such emerging specialisation that the University offers be it for B.Tech or integrated MBA, I am quite confident that my future is in good hands, and we will definitely be having great opportunities in the coming future. The fact that the specialisation which are being offered to integrated MBA students are technical in nature and hence are in great demand in the corporate increases my confidence even further.

I am planning to take up Fintech as my specialization and am working on being selected in some Fintech based multinational firm.
