Are you preparing for CET?There are several options for entrance tests and scoring choices. While CAT is the most preferred one for students opting for top-tier institutions, it requires unflinching focus and effort. The others at varying periods include MAT, CMAT, CET, ATMA, NMAT etc

The secret of success begins with passion and focus on the goal…and that’s not far!

The journey of an MBA begins with an aspiration to pursue a successful career. A lot of research about institutions and listening to influencers or attending counselling sessions and seminars becomes part of the life of students while they complete or are on the verge of finishing their graduation.

There are several options for entrance tests and scoring choices. While CAT is the most preferred one for students opting for top-tier institutions, it requires unflinching focus and effort. The others at varying periods include MAT, CMAT, CET, ATMA, NMAT etc., which provide opportunities to students who missed one but can attempt the other or got low scores in CAT and can aim at another. You must prepare well in Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. It would be a 2.5 hours computer-based test. You can attempt all the questions as there’s no negative marking if you go wrong in answering any of the questions. The best way to prepare for CET would be by practising on mock tests. Match the timeline with your speed, as 150 minutes for 200 questions is tough but not impossible!

Once you complete the entrance test, you must be ready to apply for the shortlisted colleges and prepare for the selection process. Most colleges have group discussions and personal interviews as part of the selection process. Group discussion brings out the student’s initiative, communication, confidence and ability to blend or make an impression during the discussion in a group. The topics range from current news (most often used) to abstract or factual. Students get into the tendency of arguing in a group discussion when they need to present their thoughts and not contradict or demean their fellow contestants. The common trait in a group discussion is to repeat points others have already quoted, which would not make sense. It is advisable to add new ideas and bring varied perspectives to the topic, which will give you brownie points.
