The placement season generally runs over the course of the year, beginning from the first week of August to March.

Placement Procedure for Companies

The company should fill out the Job Notification Form (JNF) and submit the form to the Training and Placement Cell (TPC). The JNF works as an introduction to the job profile for the candidates and informs them of their requirements and demands. The company then asks for the resumes of interested students and has the freedom to shortlist them right before the beginning of the placement process.

The placement report: 2021

During MNIT placements in 2021, 439 students took part in the placement process. The highest CTC was INR 43 LPA. The overall average CTC was INR 10 LPA. Recruiters like Deloitte, DE Shaw, Capgemini, Cognizant, Apple, Goldman Sachs, etc. participated in the placement drive.

Placement procedure for the students

Candidates need to follow the procedure given below during the MNIT placement drives.

1. Register for the placement session.
2. The Placement and Training (P&T) cell invites companies for placement and internships.
3. Interested companies then contact P&T Cell and submit JNF for the profiles offered.
4. The P&T cell then declares the available job recommendations based on JNF.
5. Followed by the release of notification of the eligible student's list.
6. After that, the selection procedure by the company begins.
7. Finally, the placement results are declared.

As soon as the recommendations are finalized, the company is then required to send letters to the university. The Placement and Training cell (P&T) distributes the offer letters to the selected students. The selected candidates are required to accept the offer by signing the acceptance letter/offer letter and submit the letter to the Placement and Training cell (P&T), whereupon it will be forwarded to the concerned company.

As we can see in the above table, the highest CTC package and the average CTC package amount were higher for the UG students during Placements 2021.
