Engineering Colleges accepting WBJEE JELET for B.Tech in Kolkata

WBJEE JELET syllabus is prepared and released online by the authorities. The subjects, units and topics that have to be studied for the entrance examination is available through the JELET syllabus. Candidates will have to prepare topics of 11th and 12th standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Addtional topics of Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (JELET) also have to be studied for the entrance examination. 

It is important for candidates to be familiar with WBJEE JELET exam pattern before starting preparation. By knowing exam pattern beforehand, candidates can know what to expect in exam.

The authorities will prepare and release the eligibility criteria for WBJEE JELET. Before registration, the candidates are advised to check the official WBJEE JELET eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility required from Diploma candidates have been listed below.

• There is no upper age limit.
• Should have passed a Diploma with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university.
• For admission to Jadavpur University, candidates should have obtained 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university.

Candidates will be able to register for WBJEE JELET online at wbjeeb.nic.in. All candidates will have to fill the form with their required details. The application fee has to be paid online. Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature. 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

WBJEE JELET cutoff will be prepared and released online. The authorities will release the WBJEE JELET cutoff after every round of counselling. Candidates will be able to check the detailed opening and closing ranks for higher chances of admissions into the preferred colleges and courses through the cutoff of WBJEE JELET. Through the cutoff, the candidates will be able to estimate the ranks required for a chance of admission into the preferred college, course and category. 

According to WBJEE JELET exam pattern, candidates have to answer Category I and II questions. In Category II, candidates do not have to answer questions from Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Category I and II will have questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

The fee bracket for programs offerred by the Techno International New Town is approximately INR 190000 - INR 550000.

However, in terms of affordability, Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is a better option since the total tuition fee for Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is INR 215,000 - INR 325,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology is INR 279,050 - INR 426,700.
