Q:   What if I fail in 2 subjects out of 6 in HSC Maharashtra Board?

If you fail in 2 subjects out of 6 subjects in Class 12th Maharashtra board you will not be eligible to clear the Class 12th Board exam. In Maha board, a student needs to pass in at least 5 subjects including one language subject to be considered as passed in the Class 12th Board exam. However, if you have failed in 1 or 2 subjects, you may be eligible to appear for the Maharashtra Class 12th Supplementary exams. The supplementary exam is a second chance given to students who have failed in one or two subjects in the main exam to clear their papers and obtain their passing Certificate. The compartment exam is usually held in July/August, and students have to fill a separate compartment exam application form and pay the exam fee. If you clear the compartment exam, you will receive a passing Certificate. And you will be eligible for admission to higher education courses.

How to Use DigiLocker to download Maharashtra HSC Results 2026?

In order to access Maharashtra HSC Results 2026 Mark Sheets along with a migration certificate on DigiLocker, students must have a DigiLocker Account. After signing up on DigiLocker, follow the steps mentioned below to access the Maharashtra HSC Marksheet and passing certificates:

  • Log in to the DigiLocker App using your Username and Password
  • Go to the ‘Profile’ page and Sync Aadhar Number. If the DigiLocker Account is already created using an Aadhaar Number, you need to sync again
  • Click on the ‘Pull Partner Documents’ button 
  • A screen with two drop-down menus will open
  • Select ‘Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education’ in the first dropdown, 
  • In the next drop-down, select Marksheet, i.e., HSC/ SSC Marksheet/ Migration or Passing, etc.
  • A new screen will open
  • Enter the required details such as Year of Passing and Roll Number, as mentioned on Maharashtra HSC Admit Card
  • After clicking on ‘Get Document’, the Maharashtra HSC Digital Marksheet/ Certificate will be downloaded.
  • Click on Save to Locker’s button to save these documents in the DigiLocker account.
