Excellent academics and campus life, a great institute with a strong reputation.
Placements: CoEP has a strong placement record with a high percentage of students placed every year. Many reputed core and IT companies visit the campus. The average package is good, with some students receiving high packages. Common roles include Software Engineers, Analysts, and core engineering positions.
Infrastructure: For my branch, its a one of the oldest and core branches of the college and has old and new labs. They also have some new subjects for the core. Hostel have all facilities like a mess and laundry. In the hostel area, there is a cafe. The hostel is near the college. The infrastructure for the course and hostel (CoEP) has excellent infrastructure with the best labs. Recently new computer department building has been opened in CoEP.
Faculty: CoEP faculty are experienced and supportive. Curriculum is relevant and well-structured. Exams are moderately difficult and concept-based. The pass percentile is depends on overall students. First of all, they take the average marks of all, the lowest, and the highest, and then they take the passing marks.
Other: CoEP has a strong academic reputation, good placement, an active student club, and a competitive learning environment with great peer exposure.

Really satisfied because the curriculum is set based on students' understanding.
Placements: Approximately 92 percent of students from the CSE course got placed. The highest package is 51 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 17 LPA. Recruiting companies are Nutanix, D. E. Shaw, Arcesium, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Oracle, Google, Texas Instruments, NVIDIA, Mastercard, and Bajaj Finserve. The highest is 2 lacs per month by D. E. Shaw, Arcesium offered 1.25 lacs per month, Wells Fargo offered Rs. 90,000 per month, and Citi offered Rs. 75,000 per month. Roles offered are Software Development Engineer (SDE), Systems Engineer, Data Analyst/Business Analyst.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and libraries are in the best condition with a good environment (except for some old classes) but the Wi-Fi is not available in a lot of rooms on campus. The food in the hostel is good and healthy it also has many medical facilities. In front of the big ground there is a really good amount of sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are all highly experienced and the best in their fields which always helps in any problem. Most of the curriculum is real-life based hence a lot of help. The exams are quite tough but also strict and useful. Even after the previous year questions are provided in libraries it is still challenging to study the pattern hence a surprise test.

Better than average placements, good faculty members, and average infrastructure.
Placements: Almost all the students who registered for the placement drive got placed. The highest package for B.Tech is 52.57 LPA by Nutanix, the lowest would be 5-6 LPA, and the average package would be around 9.8 LPA (2024-25). For Core Electrical/Electronics Texas Instruments, Nvidia, SLB, GE, Bosch, Rockwell Automation, etc., are recruiting companies. For the 2024-25 batch, out of registered students around 10 to 15 percent of students got internships in companies like Texas Instruments, Eaton, Siemens, Coca-Cola, etc. Roles offered are Analog Design Engineer, Digital Design Engineer, Control Engineer, Verification Engineer, GET, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities for my department are pretty great, the Wi-Fi is average, the labs are well-equipped, classrooms are also well maintained, the library and depth library both are great. The hostel is average, the quality of food is pretty great, the hostel campus has a very big sports ground as well only the intake of the hostel is very low, as someone who is not a Pune local. It's pretty hard to get a seat in the hostel due to its very low number of seats and colleges still keep increasing admission intake.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, very qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good except some teachers. The course is NEP-based and pretty relevant according to me just lacks a bit of practical exposure. They are pretty difficult and for passing there is a relatively lenient grading system in which the passing goes around 40 percent marks.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in Electrical and Electronics Chip, other than that it also opens many ways to get government jobs. More practical and internship exposure would be helpful. Events, fest, campus life is extremely good, and there are a lot of fests as well.

There is an absolutely crazy crowd at college.
Placements: Above 85 percent of students from my course get placed. This year, the highest package offered is 52 LPA, but I don't know about the lowest package. The average package offered is 17 LPA. Top recruiting companies like DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, CITI, BP, and many banks hire students from the college. In the latest batch, more than 80 students from our branch got internships. Top roles offered are software engineer, software developer, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are not that average. In our department, classrooms are good. The library is also great. Faculty members from the hostel are not that supportive. Medical facilities are average. Mess food is good. The canteen is not that hygienic. Sports and games are great.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality depends on the style of the teachers. Personally, I feel most of the teachers have great knowledge about subjects they are teaching. The course curriculum is relevant according to seniors. It does not make students industry-ready, but it gives them basics of that. Semester exams are not that difficult. Faculty members in our college have diverse mindsets. Some teachers are strict, some are very helpful, and some are very good at their behaviour.
Other: I chose this course because I love to think about how computers work internally.

It has a great crowd, decent placements, and great fests.
Placements: We have decent placements for the year 2024-25. For my branch, the average package offered is 17.19 LPA, and the highest package offered is 52.57 LPA, which is provided by Nutanix. The total placement percentage for the CSE Branch is 91.82 percent. We can consider this as decent, as the average package offered is 17.19 LPA in this recession period, which is great.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are above average, but there are still some issues, as we have limited seats in the hostel, so everyone who applies doesn't get a seat in the hostel. It is allotted merit-wise based on CGPA. Wi-Fi is decent in college, but it does not cover all areas of campus. In the hostel, it works sometimes and sometimes does not. Mess food is excellent as we get unlimited food for like Rs. 50 a day, which is really great for students of a middle-class background. The college infrastructure is great, and classrooms are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are decent. There is a party between new and old faculty members. Some of them have good teaching skills, while some lack English speaking skills, but all the faculty members really encourage students in research and academics. I mean, they are qualified enough to teach us, but they lack experience. All of them are really supportive of curiosity. The course curriculum is relevant enough, and there are regular changes in the curriculum. The latest curriculum is aligned with NEP guidelines. I would rate the difficulty level of exams as 3 out of 5. We have a relatively simple grading system, and most of the students pass exams (probably 80 percent).
Other: Events and fests are really flagship-level in this college. So there is a fest called Regatta, which carries a legacy of 98 years. It is located in the heart of Pune city, so there is a lot to explore.

    COEP Technological University review.
Placements: The majority of the students get placed, the average for the Computer Science and Engineering department is 17 LPA, and the highest is 50+, which is offered to 3-4 students only. The training and placement cell helps students and guides them to better placement opportunities. Top recruiters are De Shaw, Nvidia, Wells Fargo, etc. Around 150 students out of 220 students get internships in their 3-4th year.
Infrastructure: Some faculty members are quite helpful and knowledgeable, who help students for getting industry ready and gain good technical skills and soft skills. The boys' hostel is quite old, not so good, food quality is above average. Other facilities like sports, infra and all are good. COEP is the only college in Pune to have its own boat club, which is active.
Faculty: The syllabus is quite tough, teachers are somewhat helpful, but you have to go through many resources like YouTube videos, reference books, and so on. Examination is strict with proper evaluation and scrutiny. There are mostly midterms, teachers assessment and end-of-semester exams.
Other: Many fests are conducted by the college, which are famous around India.

COEP admission criteria for BTech comprises three main steps.

Q:   Which is better NIT & COEP, Pune for Computer Engineering?
    A:

National Institute of Technology (NITs) are most prestigious engineering college after Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The standard of education is very high in NITs because students that help students in developing in inculcating various technical as well as theoretical skills required to be a top class engineer. Also, the computer engineering department of NIT is very well-equipped with top faculty members and different coding clubs, which helps computer Science students become very well versed with the latest technologies required by the IT or software industry. Besides the quality of education, placement records are record-breaking.

Although COEP is also a top government engineering college that has become an autonomous university with a good education quality and placement, it can’t be compared with NIT in any parameters.

Hence, NIT is better than COEP, Pune, for candidates willing to take admission in the Computer Engineering branch.
