PICT is a good college with a bad campus but a good technical crowd and above average placements.
Placements: My college is one of the best placement colleges in Pune in engineering tech field. It has about 80-90% placement rate for the non-core (CS IT) branches whereas for ENTC the rate is close to 55 to 60%. The average package in CS and IT is close to 10 LPA whereas in ENTC it is close to 6 LPA. Top recruitment company on campus has been PhonePe with 33 LPA. The percentage of students who get internships is about 50% with about 25% getting paid. Top roles ordered here vary but they are mostly junior developer.
Infrastructure: College has a very small campus area about 4.5 to 5 acres. Also, the infrastructure is not so great still they are making a few changes but building some new floors. The quality of Wi-Fi is good enough but the library is small and can't accommodate more than 25% of college students at a time. The quality of food in the college hostel mess is good enough. But there is no non-veg facility. The sports facility doesn't include all sports. It mostly focused on basketball and volleyball.
Faculty: Most of the department teachers are well-qualified along with proper experience in their field. They also have really good teaching skills. Although some new teachers are present in first year department who need to be a bit more experienced. The course curriculum has undergone a lot of changes, and it seems relevant to the current market. Semester exams for us are a bit difficult as our year is the first year of autonomy so we don't have any PYQs to practice from.
Other: I chose IT because of my interest in computers. It was the best course that I was getting in my MHT CET course compared to other colleges and Pune was close to my city. Talking about improvement in my course if I had gone sports round I might have got CS but the fee would have been a bit more. The campus being small we don't have that great if extraordinary activities or fests they are the downside of my college. Also, there are a lot of changes in scholarship which are private or government.

It has excellent placements and infrastructure with an industry-relevant curriculum.
Placements: Approximately 90% of eligible students from the IT department secured placements. The highest package is 41 LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. The average package is 8.38 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Amdocs, Principle Global Services, Lowe's India, IBM, Barclays, and Mastercard.
Infrastructure: It has academic facilities like well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern classrooms with audio-visual aids, and a comprehensive library with a vast collection of books and digital resources. It has a girls hostel with 106 rooms of double occupancy. It has a boy's hostel with 67 rooms of double occupancy.
Faculty: Highly qualified and experienced faculty members are available in the college. Regular workshops and seminars are conducted by industry experts. Mentorship programs are available to guide students academically and professionally. It has an updated syllabus aligning with industry standards. It has an emphasis on practical learning through projects and lab sessions. There is an inclusion of emerging technologies and tools.
Other: The annual fest is organsied featuring cultural and technical events. It celebrates festivals, fresher and a teacher's day. It has facilities like basketball, volleyball, chess, carrom and gym.

    PICT college honest review .
Placements: Placements are good, but there is too much competition. Take VJTI/CUMMINS/COEP if possible. The college also has separate dream criteria, and sometimes they shortlist students based on their CGPA. You can also consider WCE Sangli, as that college has no such criteria.
Infrastructure: The college campus is pretty small, and only the girls' hostel is bearable. The mess food is absolutely trash. Other than that, the college has a big ground where you can play a variety of sports, and the college also has indoor sports facilities like carrom and table tennis.
Faculty: Faculty members are rude, and in the practical exams, even if you perform well and your viva goes moderately, they will give you a B grade. They don't consider students' lives; even if you have important things going on, like interviews and other commitments, assignments are more important to them.

Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) Review.
Placements: Around 90-95% of students get placed every year. That means out of around 340 students on average 300 students get placed. The highest CTC for ENTC department is generally around 25 LPA. The lowest salary is generally 3.5 LPA (TCS). The average package stands around 7.5 LPA - 8 LPA. Major recruiters are BajajFinsev, TCS, Infosys, Artista, Cadence, eQ Technology, Amdocs, Mastercard, etc. Internship percentage is quite low for the department, out of 340, 25 to 30 students get paid internships in the industry. Top roles offered for the department are QA engineer, software developer, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not up to the mark. The area of the college is quite small. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped. A sufficient library is present. Canteen serves decent quality food. A doctor is present all the time on campus. Facilities like gym, indoor games, basketball court, and cricket pitch are available. College hosts and participates in various sports and cultural events, and competitions. The whole campus has Wi-Fi coverage available for students.
Faculty: All the professors are well-qualified in their respective subjects and labs. Faculty members are supportive in academic and non-academic matters. Teaching quality is on par with good universities. The course curriculum is very relevant as PICT has been declared autonomous since last year. It has the latest and practical syllabus. Semester exams are quite difficult at the college. It also helps on campus interviews and other competitions. Passing percentage is 35%.
Other: Attendance policies are quite strict. Attendance is strictly monitored and actions are taken if it falls below 75%.

PICT - A good or a bad college.
Placements: There are good placements and internship opportunities for all the students. Top companies that come for recruiting employees include companies like Adobe, Amazon, Mastercard, etc. Since the last 3-4 years the placement percentage has been over 90%. The highest package has been around 48 LPA, while the average package is around 10 LPA - 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: College has an average infrastructure. One important thing that all aspiring students should know is that the campus is very small (around 5 acres) for a college in which above 4,000 students study. In terms of sports, there are hardly any good facilities for sports like cricket and football. Most students prefer playing these sports. Speaking about the boy's hostel, the rooms on the 5th floor are really good and have new furniture. The quality of the mess food is the worst.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified and have immense knowledge of the subject they teach. But at the same time, I would like to mention that the teaching quality is pretty average. There are a few lecturers who don't speak loud enough while addressing a class of around 78 students. From my perspective, semester exams are a bit on the tougher side because I got admission through the CIWGC quota.
Other: The only reason I chose this course was because my parents forced me for this. If I could advise, I would prefer that the lecturers start using mics while addressing their classes during the lectures. Campus crowd is very highly knowledgeable because most students that take this course are one of the top 1000 students in Maharashtra. There are a good amount of scholarships for students belonging to families with an income under 6 LPA.

Good placements according to seniors but campus is small.
Placements: For the academic year 2022-2023, PICT reported a placement rate of 93.64%, with 707 out of 755 enrolled students securing job offers. The average salary package for this batch was approximately 10.11 lakhs per annum (LPA), with a median salary of 12 LPA. Notably, the highest package offered was 91 LPA.
Infrastructure: Typically, rooms are shared between two students. Each room is equipped with essential furnishings, including beds, wardrobes, and study tables. Many rooms come with attached washrooms, enhancing convenience for residents. The annual hostel fee is approximately 1,25,000 for rooms with attached washrooms and 1,15,000 for those with common washrooms. These fees typically include mess charges.
Faculty: Many faculty members at PICT possess advanced degrees and are actively involved in research, bringing a depth of knowledge to their teaching. As of now, it is autonomous, so I can't say much about the course, exams, and other course-related stuff. In programming, they are teaching us C language, which is an outdated language and not used in industries; by this, we can say that the course is pretty outdated.
