EMAT question paper follows the same exam pattern as prescribed. The question paper is the best source for preparation for any entrance exams. Candidates willing to appear for the EMAT 2026 exam must download the question papers to become familiar with the complete exam pattern and difficulty level of the questions. The EMAT question paper comprises a total of 60 questions which are further divided into three sections viz., Logical Reasoning, Numerical, data Interpretation, and Verbal Skills.
Yes, the syllabus for EMAT and CAT is same. Candidates preparing for CAT will require only revision during the EMAT exam. As per EMAT exam pattern, the question paper is divided into following sections viz., logical reasoning, numerical & data interpretation and verbal skills. Similarly, CAT question paper is divided into the following sections viz., Verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. CAT has sectional time limit whereas, EMAT does not have sectcional time limit. Candidates can switch between sections as per their preference. The number of questions vary in both the exams however the difficulty level of both exams is moderate.
Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) is conducted by IIM Kozhikode for admission to Executive PGP of IIM Kochi. EMAT is coducted four times in a year. Candidates can appear for the EMAT exam as per their preference. EMAT 2026 exam dates have been announced. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. No, EMAT exam does not have sectional time limit to appear for the exam. However, students will be required to complete the exam in pre informed exam duration i.e, two hours and no extra time will be granted to the students under any circumstances. EMAT is a computer-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section only when the candidate clicks the next button. Candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section as there will be negative markings. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in EMAT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use the exam duration as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour prior to complete the frisking formalities at the EMAT exam centre.
EMAT admit card for the applied phase will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID. Only candidates who will register successfully for the EMAT exam will be able to download the EMAT admit card when released. To download the EMAT admit card, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) is conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode for admission to Executive Management of Business Administration (EMBA). The examination is a in computer based mode, wherein candidates will have to report at the designated exam centre. EMAT exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes. Candidates must attempt 30 questions within the given time duration. No provision for extra time is applicable for students appearing for EMAT. No, IIM Kozhikode does not releases the EMAT answer key after the exam is conducted. Soon after the EMAT 2025 exam is conducted, authorities will release EMAT 2025 offer letters. Candidates will be able to download the EMAT offer letter from the registered email ID. Only candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to check their scorecards online. EMAT result is released in the form of offer letter. Candidates will be able to check their name and roll number if shortlisted. EMAT 2025 will be held in four phases.
