B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.8
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Very good infrastructure and classes.
Placements: The best college in West Bengal, Asansol Engineering College (AEC), reported positive placement statistics in 2023. With over 250 recruiters and more than 500 total offers, resulting in an average package of around 4.92 LPA. The college is the best.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are so good that they provide students with 19 acres of campus. It is affiliated with (MAKAUT). The college also offered high-paying internships at Rs. 50,000 per month. The college is a private engineering college in West Bengal.
Faculty: The attendance is compulsory for 75%. It offered different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology, and other allied fields. The syllabus of this college is followed by the MAKAUT system. This college was established.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because this course is very challenging, and I like challenges.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.6
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Value for money college for students of West Bengal.
Placements: Nice placement with good packages with options from too many recruiters. Don't know about other courses, but placement for CSE in B.Tech is very good. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and Cognizant are the top recruiters. The training and placement cell works very hard to train the students.
Infrastructure: Labs are good with air-conditioners. Classrooms are spacious. All equipped with smart boards. The full campus is Wi-Fi enabled and has a huge playground and nice basketball field, top-class machines are installed in the laboratories, and flipped classes are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, knowledgeable, and friendly with students, except for a few professors. Support the students in whatever possible ways they can and encourage students to take part in activities held in college and outside the college, and can be contacted anytime needed.

Good teachers in Asansol Engineering College.
Placements: Minimum 80% were selected last year. IT batch: The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average is 4.2 LPA, I guess. Companies like Digital, Infosys, Ninja, TCS, Wipro recruited. Maximum placements were in TCS, with roles like manager and debugger. To be honest, I don't know what the posts are, but you'll be satisfied.
Infrastructure: Not that much good. The facility is mediocre. Wi-Fi is there. Depends on you. I would say go for PG. You get a personal bathroom there—what else do you want? Different types of courses you can pursue include Computer Science, Information Technology, IoT, CSBS, and Data Science.
Faculty: Some are very good and experienced, but some I don't know. I don't understand their class. There are two Maths teachers (won't say their names) who are excellent in both ways. And there is this electrical sir. Awesome. He will teach you everything in a fluid manner. I love the teaching of this sir.
Other: IT is good because the crowd is less here compared to the CS branch.

B.Sc. in Data Science - Batch of 2028
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good learning, helpful faculty, decent placements, active campus life, and strong data science base.
Placements: Around 65% of students got placed in the B.Sc. data science course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 2.8 LPA, and the average package is about 4.5 LPA. Top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and some data-related startups hire students. Many also got jobs through off-campus drives and LinkedIn. Around 70% of students got internships during the course. Some go through college, while others do so by applying themselves. Companies like Cognizant, Internshala startups, EdTech firms, and data companies offered internships. Common roles include data analyst, business analyst, Python developer, junior data scientist, and ML intern.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure for the data science course. Classrooms are clean with projectors and Wi-Fi. Labs have computers with internet for coding and data work. The library has useful books and online study materials. Hostel rooms are decent and mostly shared by 2 or 3 students. Wi-Fi, clean drinking water, and electricity backup are available. Mess food is okay, sometimes good, but canteen food is better. There's a medical room for basic treatment. Sports facilities are available for cricket, football, badminton, and more. Overall, the campus is student-friendly with good basic facilities and a healthy environment.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and helpful. They explain topics well and have good knowledge. Most teachers are qualified and support students during classes and projects. The course includes useful subjects like Python, SQL, data analysis, and machine learning, which help in getting jobs. The syllabus is good and matches what companies need. Semester exams are not too hard if you attend classes and study on time. Most students pass without much problem. The pass rate is around 90%-95%. Internal tests, assignments, and projects also help in learning better. Overall, the teaching and course are quite helpful for students.
Other: I am from the 2024-2028 batch of B.Sc. In data science at Asansol Engineering College. I chose this course because I'm interested in coding, data, and IT careers. The course covers Python, SQL, machine learning, and data visualization, starting from the basics. So even beginners can follow. Labs and projects make learning practical. However, more industry visits and company tie-ups would help. The campus is clean and peaceful. Events like coding contests and cultural fests are held regularly. The crowd is friendly and from different states. Transport is easily available. Scholarships and sports facilities are also provided by the college.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Decent infrastructure and campus, but faculty support and placements need improvement.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course in electronics and communication engineering is 90%. The highest package is 29 LPA, lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package offered in our course is 3.5 LPA. 35 to 40% of students got internships from our course at companies such as TCS Ninja and TCS Prime. At Asansol Engineering College, top recruiting companies are TCS Ninja, TCS Prime, Accenture, EY, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available to our force and departments are neither too good nor too bad. Wi-Fi is good. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are not too good in the electronic and communication engineering department because they are so old and not maintaining. Winner hostel mess and canteen are okay, not too good and not too bad. The lab and classrooms would be improved for our course.
Faculty: Department teachers are too much helpful, kind in nature, more qualified, and have more extracurricular activities in our syllabus. The students makes industry-ready. The semester exam at this college is moderate, not too much easy and not too much hard. The pass percentage is 5.5 SCGPA.
Other: At Asansol Engineering College, the electronic and communication engineering department is one of the best courses. The best thing in our force is IEEE chapters membership. The event, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, and extra-curricular activities are too much good in better than other colleges.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college because of its faculty and good placements.
Placements: Placements are decent. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, and other MNCs are constant recruiters of our college. The placement drive is good. The salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 6 LPA. Many students are placed in Nutanix with a package of 24 LPA. Around 70% of our students got placed this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Hostel accommodation is also decent. Students can stay at hostels. It has a safe environment. Bathrooms are not good. There is no lush greenery. This is only a drawback. Water is available all the time. The canteen is also good. All food items are prepared in a hygienic way.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They taught students how to crack MNCs and helped them if he or she faced any doubt. Our department teachers are very friendly. They help students whenever they need. They almost completed our syllabus in time and also helped us to solve the previous year's questions.
Other: Our passing batch is good. All are friends. They help us whenever we needed. We have a hardware club, coding club, sports club, and robotics club to encourage students to participate in tech-related competitions. The sports department is also good. They train us to be healthy. Fest is an important part of our college life. Fest includes nukkad, dance, and a lot of enjoyment.

With this rank 62727, I think you should go for CSE in ASEC. ASEC is a decent college for CSE with decent faculty and placements. It is much better than Asansol and I am sure about it. Now if you think of going for higher studies you can join AEC but do remember ASEC will have the proximity of Kolk
