As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no lateral entry (directly begin from 2nd year) in B.Tech AMU. Check the eligibility criteria for the entrance test here:
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of this University or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate

For B.Tech there is no lateral entry. You have to qualify AMUEEE and appear for the course for entire duration.

AMU take admission through LEET but you can get admission in 1st year. You can take admission in HBTU-Kanpur, IET-Lucknow or MMU-Gorakhpur.
