HNBGU Uttarakhand BTech admission criteria is entrance-based. The university prepares a merit list based on applicants' CUET scores. If the seats are left vacant, then merit list students of HNBGU counselling are selected based on JEE Main score. Further, apart from these criteria, aspirants must have the required educational qualifications as well. Aspirants who are Class 12 or equivalent pass in the Science stream with at least 45% aggregate (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) can apply.

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University BTech fees include components like tuition fees, registration fees, university enrolment fees, etc. Some of the fee components are only one-time chargeable. The course fee varies for the courses offered on campus and by the university-affiliated colleges. The total tuition fee for HNBGU BTech ranges between INR 67,000 and INR 88,000. HNBGU merit list 2023 for BTech course was released on Aug 14. Selected candidates had to deposit the fee by Aug 16 (5 PM). Further. The NTA has released the exam dates for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be administered on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, 2025. Paper 1 will be administered only in the second shift on April 8. The Session 2 registration is closed, and the last date to apply was February 25, 2025. The applicants are requested to download their city intimation slip, to be released in the third week of March, and admit cards, to be available three days prior to the exam date, from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The 2024 HNBGU Uttarakhand CMAT cutoff is determined by separate institutes including B-Schools and varies by category. For General category, the HNBGU cutoff 2024 stood at 75 which is common for all the MBA specialisation available at HNBGU Uttarakhand.
