Review of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering.
Placements: For chemical departments, placements are actually not that much as compared with other departments like IT, CS, etc. 2 or 3 companies are the max that came here. Don't come here with expecting that much placement facilities and all.
Infrastructure: The course is very promising, and facilities are actually there but the faculty in the department is not that satisfying and for the hostel, everyone can't be able to become a fan of their food. Strange combinations are offered.
Faculty: Qualified teachers are there but most of them focus only on extra brilliant students, average students—just a joke for them. Sometimes they judge too much, mock us and most importantly, make us think we are worthless. Everyone has a different concept.

A Great Choice for better career life.
Placements: 80% of my batchmates have been placed in various sections of engineering fields. I had a great 4 years of professional help and development from my faculty members as well as management. Our course includes internships, project presentations, seminars, startups, etc., which help in developing skills and our knowledge.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is tremendous. Every facility, including labs, the library, Wi-Fi availability, study rooms, and hostel facilities, is great. The library includes all types of books and journals, both related to courses as well as fiction. They also provide computer research options for our research activities. The labs are updated with everything we need.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and are a great help in developing our professional knowledge. They conduct various seminars and presentations that help us improve our knowledge as well as develop our skills. These activities help us build our confidence. The course curriculum is up to the mark. The syllabus is set in such a way that it covers all fields of study required for our future opportunities.

My college through my words.
Placements: I had a great four years at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. I had a team of good faculty members who were always there for us to successfully complete the four years of our Engineering journey. But to be honest, the placement cell under our department was very poor. Only a few people were placed before completing the course, and those were found by the students themselves.
Infrastructure: I have no words to say about the infrastructure of our college; we had 24 hours of free Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, labs with all facilities, and a peaceful library where the books are separately arranged according to the departments. Our hostel was very beautiful; they provided single rooms, double rooms, and triple rooms. We had good quality food each day. The college and hostel were always clean.
Faculty: All the teachers were very helpful; most of them have doctorates. They always helped with their studies. But the studies were mostly focused on theory, and the practical knowledge provided was poor, according to my opinion. We had three semester exams and a universe exam per semester.

Our college provides excellent faculty members.
Placements: Many students are working as design and process engineers in various industries. Wastewater treatment plants and fertilizer industries also recruit many students from our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are excellent. The canteen is also available. Hostel can accommodate more than 3,000 students. It is one of the largest hostels in Kerala. Medical facilities are excellent. Sports are also available in our college. The food quality is also good.
Faculty: Semester exams are conducted by Kerala Technical University. The questions are easy for students, and exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 80%. The relationships between teachers and students are good.
Other: In our college, cultural and extra curricular activities are conducted.

Really happy to be a part of this college.
Placements: Placements for our senior batches are almost fine. Not much, but around 40 to 60 percent of our seniors have been well placed. Many companies such as FACT, KMML, etc. have visited our college. They were offering many jobs but mainly they remind about training. Almost 90% of students from our college has got internships. There is a placement cell in our college. It is really helpful and useful.
Infrastructure: Our campus is a fully Wi-Fi campus with internet access of 600 mb per second. Classrooms are digitalised with projectors. The central library of the college provides students and faculty members to devolope a comprehensive collection of documents for research and studies. Sports and games are well supported by the college. Labs are extra ordinary. There is full access to our lab works as well as project work. Canteen is well organised with high quality of food. Hostel rooms are too adaptable and securable. Cleaning facilities are very good.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are well trained and helpful to the students. The quality of teaching is good. Digitalised system for learning are also adopted which makes learning easy. The faculty members are always there to help every students at any time.
Other: There are a lot of events taking place in our college. The main fest of it all is Azure and Arena that takes place in every year. Extra curricular activities such as dance, games, sports, are well supported.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. No good placements. Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Since we are the only batch for chemical engineering in our college till now, we haven't had any placements. But some other IT companies have come like TCS and a few students from other branches like ECE, EEE and CS have been placed.
The teachers are not trying to bring any companies to the campus. The management also shows no interest.
Infrastructure: The facilities here are really good. Wi-Fi is available on the campus and hostels too. Classrooms and library are good and spacious. Food available in the canteen is not up to the mark and is very costly.
Hostel rooms are neat and tidy. Toilets are also neat. But hostel food is very bad. Every day, bad food is given. The rooms are small.
We have no freedom at all.
Faculty: The faculty and management have a cold attitude towards the students. They don't treat us good. They are not helpful and most of them have no knowledge at all.
We were taken for a few industrial visits. The teachers don't have a friendly relationship with students. The don't teach well. Severe punishment is given for small things. Fine is taken unnecessarily from students.

Review of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering.
Placements: Mainly IT companies and electronics-based companies come for placements like TCS, IVM, Tech Mahindra etc. Compared to last year, the placements are less this year. Since we are the first batch in the Chemical engineering department of our college, we have not got any placements till date.
Infrastructure: Our college is built in acres of land, and the college canteen is the main attraction of our college. Wi-Fi is available within the college blocks, and we have well-maintained labs and classrooms. The girls' hostel and boys' hostel have first-class facilities. Food is made in a huge and highly equipped kitchen. The hostels are run by nuns and priests and is affiliated to the college.
Faculty: Our department was established only in 2013. At present, we have 13-15 professors and almost 240 students(1st-4th). We have been taken to 3 to 4 industries in our 4 years. The teachers are supportive and encourage us to participate in both technical and cultural events inside and outside our college. The curriculum is set by the university and has proved useful. Our batch has had almost 60-70 pass percentage in the 4 years.
Other: Our college is run by a Catholic management. If you want a college life as shown in the movies, this is not the place. Both the college and hostels are very strict, and the college gives emphasis only on studies, so the cultural and sports activities are pretty much nil here for the past two years. The facilities are top-class and the area the college is situated in is pretty much safe for girls. If you can live within the rules set by the college, this is a top class college. Many of the rules may seem unfair but later on, as we live in the real world, these rules might help us to have a discipline in our life.

I am completely dissatisfied with this college due to its attitude towards the students.
Placements: We are the first batch of chemical engineering in AJCE. So according to my knowledge, there is no placement for us and for attending the placement, we have to go to some other college. There is neither salary nor placement offered to us, and according to my knowledge very few people with high CGPA only get job offers and placements here.
Infrastructure: The only thing we can be proud of this college is about its infrastructure as it is great. The classrooms are neat and clean, and the blackboards are maintained well. But, the college does not provide the students with any type of entertainment or sports and games etc. The hostel rooms are clean and maintained well, but the hostel food is disgusting so we are forced to eat from college canteen which helps the college to get the hostel mess fee plus the high canteen fee together. Making cheap hostel food and forcing the students to eat from the canteen is a very cheap business trick of the college management.
Faculty: The faculty members in our branch are very helpful and resourceful. Their teaching methods include both notes as well as smart classes via PPTs. We were also fortunate to get a good industrial exposure, but the students-faculty ratio is very low at 60:1.
Other: The college is very strict and unbearable, so I do not suggest anyone to study in this college because the management and priests running this college are very rude and unsympathetic. The college is run by some private management people and shameless catholic priests who are very pitiful and arrogant. Personally, I do not have any respect but only anger and disrespect for them for making them bear me this college for 5 years.
