Not expected placement?
Placements: Only nearly 30% of students got placed properly. The highest package in our college is 4 lakhs per annum. No core companies came for our college placement; it is very poor. We did a paid internship at Trivandrum. Software engineer was the top role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Our college has very good infrastructure. However, there is no Wi-Fi connection as it is a rural area. Classrooms are very clean. The canteen offers only some common food varieties. Various sports like carrom, chess, cricket, and throwball are conducted inter-college.
Faculty: Only some staff members were knowledgeable; others just manage with the topic. As our college is affiliated with Anna University, exams are conducted based on their timetable. Above 50 marks is a pass mark, including internal marks. Semester exams will be at a moderate level.
Other: Since I was interested in software designing, I selected this course. They focus mainly on academics, with little importance given to practical work. No events are conducted. NSS is available for camping. The campus surrounding is very fresh. They also conduct some competitions on annual day and provide prizes.

It is one of the best colleges in our district.
Placements: We the students of Amrita College of Engineering and Technology is to be the first batch. At present we are persuing our second year of engineering. As we are the first batch, we are not as much clear about the placement details on our campus. But still, we have a session for placement trading. Our staffs train us by giving some of the aptitude challenges.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is not well built. The building constructions are still being continued. Our campus provides free Wi-Fi connections. There are separate labs for practical sessions, and the classrooms are not much good. The boards are not bright. The college library seems good, but the fact is that we don't have a library hour for spending our time in the library.
Faculty: The faculty members of our campus are well qualified. They are very friendly with us and are always ready to explain our doubts regarding the subjects. They help us in various sectors. The staffs, as well as students here, are like family.
Other: I'm continuing my second year of engineering in computer science. The reason why I chose this course is I'm interested in the software sector. I'm also interested in editing. The coding practice in this course is one of the most interesting ones which enhances this course.

Review of Amrita College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: I'm not sure about the placements and the students who were recruited by the companies before. The top recruiting companies for the course include TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, etc. Around 30% of the students have undergone internship training in Amphisoft company in recent times.
Infrastructure: Students on the campus are provided with free Wi-Fi facility. There are various labs in the department for the encouragement of practical hours. The college library is available for education. The library has been built with good infrastructure to help students to develop their skills in various fields. Classrooms are spacious. Hostel facilities are okay, and canteen facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good enough to teach the students clearly and elegantly. They make sure that the students understand the concepts clearly. Teachers are highly qualified, and they help students in all ways. The course is trying to make the students for the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in coding, and I wish to improve my coding skills. Rare workshops are organised on the campus.

Best campus for education.
Placements: In our college this is the second batch. Big companies like Infosys are coming for placement. Last year 90% of students got internship. In our college, they improve our innovative skills. In our course computer language plays the highest role in our studies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in full campus. Highly equipped labs. Digitalised classroom. Best infrastructure. In hostel, best food supplied. Importance of sports is aching in our college. Well developed buildings. Joyful culturals. Faculty and staffs are good in teaching.
Faculty: Very helpful and qualified professors. Friendly professors. All the students are prepared for job with high knowledge by industrial training. Workshops and so on. At starting of first year they offer as bridge course for knowing the basics of engineering.
Other: I am interested in computer Science.

Pretty dissatisfied because of, well almost everything.
Placements: We are the first batch of this engineering college and we still are 2nd years so not sure about placement information yet. We were promised that we get placed in good companies. That's the only hope of most students here. Sorry I couldn't give much information in this.
Infrastructure: Basically this college was owned by Sun Engineering college few years ago. Amrita management bought this. So right now most of the infrastructure was just renovated. The computer labs were disappointing. Most systems are outdated and low in performance. Wi-Fi is available but it's limited to 35mb considering the speed (100mbps)it's useless. Hostel has developed a lot in a year but the room size is very small. Canteen is fine but I get a lot of complaints from my hosteler friends about the mess that food is not upto the mark. For sports grounds and courts are available but they are mostly for the show. Only used during sports day.
Faculty: Yes most teachers are Ph.D. or M.Phil holders. Well most teachers will make you doubt that they are rank holders. Of course there are few good teachers but again. Its very few. Right now they follow Anna University curriculum. The syllabus is fine but the whole system is bad, from exams to the teaching method. It even restraints the few good teachers that I mentioned.

I am a little bit disappointed because I expected more.
Placements: Since our college was newly initiated last year, students have not yet passed out to know about the placement details of the college. Yet placement training sessions and several internship activities have been actively taking place all over the campus. We are the first batch of our college, and currently pursuing our second year. After the end of the first year, a set of the students was given the opportunity to attend the E-Box internship programme conducted in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Infrastructure: College provides good computer laboratories facilities with Intel CORE i5 Dell computers. High-speed Wi-Fi networks are functioning thoroughly in all laboratories. There are 4 laboratories in CSE block itself. They also provide Linux, Ubuntu and Windows OS. Hostel facilities are however not up to the mark. Food is much better now than how it was in the starting. Yet developments are happening every day slowly yet at a constant pace.
Faculty: All faculty members are well educated and trained for teaching. But I believe teaching is more focused on the examination point of view, rather than application-based. But apart from teaching, we have many extracurricular activities and club related activities that happen simultaneously apart from academics which I feel is useful to improve student's capability and make students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my interest in the computer field and based on my convenience. I wish if classroom teachings happen in more fun and practical manner rather than based on the exam point of view.

The teaching of our lectures are good, and old batches have got placed in good companies.
Placements: Our batch is the first batch of this Amrita college, and old students are placed in some of the IT companies. The salary offered to students is about Rs. 50,000 per month. I am from computer science branch, so I hope we will be placed in IT companies like TCS. The major role in our courses is coding and improving our knowledge in the science computer field. They are calculating the students by overall CGPA and their marks in higher studies. Some of the students have got an internship in E-box, TVS, Jeep, and so many students didn't get an opportunity, but you walk into the internship.
Infrastructure: Our college is developing in good infrastructure and library is good, the classroom is good, and overall our college is in a correct manner. Our hostel is not as good, and the food in the hostel is actually very bad. Students are suffering for good health, no medical facilities, and they have given a period of time after college time for sports.
Faculty: Our college has about 10-15 PhD lectures and experienced staff. They are teaching their best to students for getting good marks and creating some skills. But they are giving more importance to marks more than our skills. Computer science is a hopeful field, and so many technologies are made from this.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like the computer from our childhood and I want to learn about the science of computers. So many technologies are coming from this field and computer world is made the future so interesting. In computer science, there are so many sections like coding, developing. Each student has different skills, so they should give priority to all student for their own skills. Many training and internship for this course are provided. Machine learning is a good future.

Dignified student-friendly, teacher-friendly source of innovations and massive infrastructure.
Placements: As of now, not many companies have turned up to visit our campus, but some prominent companies nearby our campus have visited us. Technopark from Trivandrum has organised an off-drive campus interview, with a good salary package. Students from other departments got placed in this recruitment drive.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, they are bringing more and more innovative ideas and provide us a bunch of facilities in terms of both of lab and library. The Lab consists of high-configure systems with i7 processors and high-speed internet connectivity. In terms of hostel facilities, they are providing peaceful environment for students to live a peaceful life. And to Excel in various aspects of their career. The food they cook for us is really delicious and they make sure that the students doesn't waste any food. Our college has giving a lot of importance to sports. Who are really Keen in showcase their sports skills have a bright opportunity.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly capable and brilliant and help the students in their needful situation. Not only from exam point of view but also for enhancing our knowledge they strive hard for our understand. The course curriculum could be short, but the teachers gives us additional knowledge about the concept in depth.
Other: Since childhood, I am fond of computers and always wanted to know the internal functioning of the computer components which made me more curious to take this course. More workshops, technical symposium and bunch of internships will surely guide us for the excellence in the industry. They are organising many clubs for the skill up gradation of students in their relevant field.
