Master's course in VLSI design.
Placements: College extended its career opportunities in various emerging industries, especially for semiconductors, electronics, and designing platforms. Top recruiting companies like Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and Microtechnology. These were the key recruiters. They offered the highest package.
Infrastructure: Sports events were not celebrated by the college as like the placement and academic success. Various technical events were conducted by all the disciplines separately to bring coordination between the junior and senior students. The college environment especially the canteen zones was so messy.
Faculty: Teachers play a significant role in students academic success. It's usually two-year courses with four divided semesters and particular teachers would handle every individual subject. Teachers were always quite busy in sharing about the course knowledge only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Which is better to study: Embedded systems or VLSI design?
A:

If you are interested in software development and designing systems that control and monitor specific functions in a device, then embedded systems may be a good fit for you. If you are interested in hardware design and designing the chips that power electronic devices, then VLSI design may be a good fit for you.

In case, you are looking to choose without any core individual interest as such then, here is a table that summarizes the key differences between embedded systems and VLSI design

FeatureEmbedded systemsVLSI design
RoleEmbedded systems are computer systems that are designed to perform specific tasks in a larger system. They are found in a wide range of devices, including cars, airplanes, medical devices, and consumer electronics. Embedded systems engineers design, develop, and test these systems.
VLSI design is the process of designing integrated circuits (ICs), also known as chips. ICs are used in almost all electronic devices. VLSI engineers use hardware description languages (HDLs) to design ICs, and they then work with fabrication companies to manufacture the chips.
