Review of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for the M.Tech. in Power and Energy Engineering course.

Faculty: Our college has ambitious teachers with good spirits and positivity. They keep on motivating students to concentrate on the academic classes continuously. Teachers schedule only one session for all subjects in a day. Teachers are under the control of management just as students are under their control.

This was not a bad decision because I got placed in the scholarship slab.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable within their respective fields. Course curriculum is relevant to every branch of engineering as robotics and AI are an interdisciplinary course, covering mechanics, electrical, electronics, and AI. Semester exams are based on Bloom's taxonomy level, with continuing questions of easy to moderate level and very few high-level questions, evaluating the understanding of a particular subject for each student. Pass percentage of students on a subject ...

Dissatisfaction in course and infrastructure

Faculty: 60 percent of the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, but the other 40 percent just scroll ppts and are very biased towards Malyalam students. The course curriculum is 30 percent relevant in S3. They are teaching us basics of C programming as a subject, which itself is a bad idea, while we were already taught for loops and all in Python and java we have a whole new semester to learn for loopa in C. The semester exams are ok, about 96% of the students pass the exams here.

A supportive environment with quality learning and opportunities for career growth.

Faculty: Faculty in our department were generally helpful and well-qualified, with most holding PhDs or having industry experience. Some were very student-friendly, while a few were a bit rigid. We also had value-added courses and mandatory internships that prepared us well for the industry. Exams were moderately difficult, with questions often requiring conceptual understanding. The pass percentage was around 85–90%.

Competitive with NIT's and IIT's and has good infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are interactive in the class and as well as in the chat being responsive and friendly. Not all the subjects in the course like MEE which is not considered in our field or department. Semester exams are average and attemptable. There are various faculty members varying from good to bad.

It is a really good college, especially placement wise.

Faculty: My faculty members are filled with amazing people who are experts in their fields, and I am so lucky to learn from them. The curriculum is really interesting, and it challenges me to think critically about the world. We cover a lot of different topics, but I always feel supported by my professors and classmates. I especially love the hands-on projects where I can apply what I have learned in class.

Somewhat I'm disappointed with faculty members.

Faculty: Teachers are pressuring students to pay promptly after receiving payment notifications. Additionally, there's a concern that teachers lack practical experience in the subjects they teach, focusing more on theoretical aspects. I strongly believe that theoretical paths are very important for securing higher grades.

Master's course in VLSI design.

Faculty: Teachers play a significant role in students academic success. It's usually two-year courses with four divided semesters and particular teachers would handle every individual subject. Teachers were always quite busy in sharing about the course knowledge only.

Beautiful campus, could climate, good placements, and good opportunities.

Faculty: Faculty members at Amrita are generally well qualified and many of them have completed their Ph.D. They also have research experience. Many lecturers are supportive and friendly. Teaching quality is above average. There is a mixed talk for few lecturers who are excellent in their field whereas few are not upto the mark. Curriculum includes technical and cultural subjects like Bhagavad Gita lessons which can be opted via electives and some are mandatory subjects. Marking system is based on relati...

I cannot say I am dissatisfied with the college but there are some pros and cons.

Faculty: Many teachers are knowledgeable and they work on different projects to publish journal papers and conference papers. Unlike other colleges, we don't have to study completely on our own and teachers will assist us. The course curriculum is made in such a way that we will be able to adapt to any company as we will have a strong foundation in all core areas.
