Globsyn Knowledge Campus Welcomes Batch of 2026–28 with 25th Induction Programme
Kolkata: Globsyn Knowledge Campus conducted the Induction Programme for its newest Batch of 2026–28 as part of the 25th edition of its annual induction from August 11 to 14, 2026. The four-day induction programme familiarized the students with the academic ambiance, institute infrastructure, faculty members and overall learning experience during their two-year program.
The induction was a milestone for many of the students as it provided them their first taste of campus life after their admission to the program. Apart from formal sessions, the induction involved campus visits, interactive sessions and discussion about academics and career prospects.
Getting Acquainted With the Campus Life
The first few days of business school may be exciting but also filled with curiosity and confusion for most students. New friends and understanding of academic expectations is all about this stage.
Taking into account these changes, Globsyn Knowledge Campus organized sessions with its faculty, senior students and student leaders to make things easy for the new batch. The initial sessions were all about introducing the students to the institute, academic structure and people who would be interacting with them during the course.
The induction was also a good chance for the students to meet their peers before the actual start of the academic program.
Here's a look at the four-day Induction Programme
The four-day induction involved several aspects related to the life of the students including academics, institute infrastructure and career discussions.
Welcome & leadership sessions: The induction programme started with a formal welcome ceremony and interactions with the institute leadership that acquainted the students with the institute and the program that lies ahead of them.
Academic Orientation:
Students were oriented about the curriculum, areas of study, evaluation process and the expectations associated with the programme. These sessions were meant to
provide insight into the structure of the academic life of the students over the next two years.
Campus Tour:
Students went around the campus, exploring classrooms, laboratories, library and various other facilities. It was for many of them the first time that they got acquainted with the facilities that would constitute a large portion of their time in the next two years.
Interactive Activities:
Ice breaker and interaction sessions enabled the students to get familiar with their batch mates and start building their network. At the same time, such sessions made their transition into the new academic environment easier.
Career and Industry Discussions:
The induction programme also included sessions related to the career development, industry interaction and placements initiatives that the students got a first glimpse of how their management education could be linked to their career aspirations.
Importance of Induction Programmes for Fresh Students
An induction programme can be seen as the first prolonged interaction between the students and the institution once they get admission to it. Though academic orientation forms an essential part of an induction programme, it also enables the students to gain insight into the culture, expectations and opportunities associated with the campus life.
For the management students, especially, the first few weeks can lay down the foundation of their B-School experience. Getting acquainted with the faculty members, peers, industry perspectives and career opportunities from the very first week can help the students gain clarity about what they want to accomplish during their programme.
In Globsyn Knowledge Campus, the 2026-28 induction programme gave the new batch the opportunity to explore these facets of campus life.
Starting the Journey in the Management Career Path
With the successful completion of the induction programme which spanned four days, the Batch of 2026-28 has now started their journey of learning at the Globsyn Knowledge Campus.
The next two years will see the students getting involved in classes, industry exposure, projects, internships and other activities which form a major part of the learning process in management education. The induction programme formed the first step of this journey for the new batch of students from the point of being admitted students to campus members.
