Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) - Batch of 2022
5.0
It is the best college for entering the industry.
Placements: Around 100% of our batchmates are currently placed, with some even having 2 or 3 offers. The highest salary package is 13 LPA and the lowest is 3.36 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Wipro and TCS. All students have internships with the companies they are currently placed with.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available, including water, electricity, and Wi-Fi, with up-to-date lab equipment. We also have a good library with all the books from our courses and some extra books. The mess is the best part, with the food tasting as if it were cooked at home. All sports are available and are free to play. Other facilities include a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are masters in their respective fields. They are always available to help out in any way possible, with no restrictions on the timings on where and how to ask questions. They strongly believe in education above all else. The curriculum has recently been updated and contains the latest technology used in the industry.
Other: As computer science is in great demand nowadays, I got into the course as I had heard a lot about this college and it totally stood up to my expectations. All cultural events are organised to ensure participation by all. No fixed participation is there, but an open stage is provided for all to showcase their talents.

The college is worth of money and has a good atmosphere.
Placements: The placement is not very good, but compared with other colleges of Uttarakhand, we can say that it is good. For computer branch, there are many companies, but for electronics, there is no chance. The only name of Birla is there, and you have to go off-campus. If you have that name, then you can select anywhere.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are not that much good, but the crowd is not that much, and professors are good. The toilets are well-maintained and cleaned. around 5 to 6 students can easily go at a time. The labs are also very good. All the useful instruments are used in the engineering.
Faculty: The faculty for computer science group is absolutely very good, but electronics and communication are not good. If you want to do B.Tech in computer science, then you are most welcome, but for electronics, don't come. At last, the college is worth of money and environment is also very good.
Other: The name of the fest is Spectrum, and it is good.

Satisfied with my college.
Placements: The placements of Birla Institute of Applied Sciences is very good. Almost, 85% of the students got placed in big companies. Every year, the placement is between 80 to 85%. The companies like Adobe, Wipro, and Anchor came for the students to the college. The average package offered to the students was 3.60 lakhs per annum and goes beyond 12 lakhs per annum. It is clear that if a person wants to get placed, then Birla Institute of Applied Sciences is the best place for the placement of your ward.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and it has all important things like labs. There are mechanical, electrical, chemistry, computer, microprocessor labs that too well-equipped with instruments. The college Wi-Fi is very good with nice speed, and classrooms are well-furnished. The college also has an auditorium, gym, badminton hall, and common hall.
Faculty: All the faculty members of our college are well-qualified and know how the students will get that thing. They explain with a very good example so that every student understands everything. There are around 25-30 professors in our college, and our director is a very nice person, and he is well-qualified and knows what students need in the college. The course is completed one month before the exam so that students get maximum time to study and perform the best.
Other: In the college, events are conducted like quizzes and another sports tournament. The annual event of the college is the Spectrum, conducted in April which is a very good event.

The college has a well-reputed name, and the best part of the campus is its climate.
Placements: As the crowd is not much, the placement is easy here as compared to the other colleges. There are only 120 students in one batch. The placement co-ordinators are helpful and have good relationships with the companies. So overall, the placement of the college is good.
Infrastructure: As we discuss the infrastructure, no other private college can give this much good facility in this price or fee, where there are well-mannered labs and classrooms. The speed and limit of the Wi-Fi facility are good. The medical facility is good, as the doctor comes on an alternate day.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-educated and well-experienced. They know how to teach, and they focus on every student with their full determination. Because of this, the students have to pay attention to the lectures, so it becomes difficult for the students to bunk the classes.
Other: The atmosphere of the college is like home. The faculty members give their 100 percent to the students except a few.

A curriculum and exam oriented college which would only help you do trivial things.
Placements: The placements are average. Some regular companies along with some other good companies visit the campus. However, the TPOs are changed so placement scenario would surely change for the year 2018-19. Hence it is tough to say now about the placements. TCS is regular on campus. The highest placements are through off-campus only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. You'll have to deal with old file systems. The classrooms don't have spaces for enough students. At least in my class. It is getting better with time, but it's still not up to the mark. However, a new building is being created so that the academic infrastructure would be better. The hostels and mess are worse and not at all flexible for vegetarians.
Faculty: There are some good faculty members, but others are just the worst. However, almost all of them are syllabus oriented and would do whatever necessary to kill whatsoever remaining enthusiasm remaining inside student regarding some innovation in subjects. If you have doubts, better search on the internet. The course curriculum is fully theoretical and not updated since last 10years or so. I had an internship offer from a top leading company, but the director said no directly without listening to me.

Absolutely good college in limited facility reach of Bhimtal and affordable fees
Placements: The college has a good placement ratio as seen in colleges in Bhimtal. Many seniors got placed in Wipro, InfoGain, SmartData, Genesis, TCS, Bharti Airtel, HCL and many other companies this year. The average package was 4 lacs, the highest was 7.5 lacs and the lowest was 3 lacs.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-built infrastructure and hostels. The college has a good library with various books, a gym for physical fitness, various biodiversity elements like ponds and trees, a well-built botanical garden consisting of local and foreign plants and trees to study, well-built computer and electronics labs, badminton court, playground and a common hall. Hostels have 24*7 electricity and water backup with well-ventilated rooms and a common room at very low costs. The mess provides a variety of nutritious and tasty food at a very low price. Also, the college has an auditorium for cultural activities and a seminar hall.
Faculty: The faculty team consists of well-qualified professors with not only Indian but also foreign education and teaching experience. The faculty team consists of young and new brains as well as old and experienced people too. They are very helpful for any task or individual idea for any project brought to their desk. The discipline is well-maintained by them and regular hostel checkups are performed to sort out students' problems.
Other: The college has an entrepreneurship cell that holds regular quizzes and contests in collaboration with IIT Bombay. Also, regular trips to various colleges workshops and IITs are planned periodically by Techno Forum. The college is situated in a divine and calm atmosphere of Bhimtal with a quiet atmosphere for hustle-bustle free study.

All about Birla Institute Bhimtal.
Placements: In the year 2017-18, good companies came to Birla. Even now the companies are visiting like Smartprix and Directrix which offers a package more than 10 lakh per annum, and other companies like Safola, Infotech and many startup companies also visited this year which offered a package of 3-4 lpa. The placement is good in the college, approximately 80-85 percent of the students are placed every year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good at Birla Institute. It provides Wi-Fi to all hostel members. It is a residential college, it is also good for studies. It has five boys hostels, 3 girls hostels and separate mess for boys and girls canteen facility are also available. In college campus, you can do everything that you want to do it has a common hall where all the college functions are performed.
Faculty: The faculty members are quite good. But if you want to study in deep then there will be no faculty to help you. You have to study by yourself. The faculty members are highly educated, some of them are gold medalist from reputed universities. The labs in the Birla is also in good condition, each lab is up to date with the latest technology.
Other: The Birla Institute has 3 volleyball courts, 2 badminton courts, 1 cricket ground and 1 football ground. The atmosphere in the college is very good, many students went abroad to reputed universities for higher studies. In California University, two students from Birla are studying right now. It provides two branches for BTech, one is computer science and other is electronics and communication it also provides MCA course.

Join the college. But care, you have to give a little bit more if you want placements.
Placements: In my time, there were only 2 and 3 authentic company recruitments. The main was TCS while others are either providing very low packages or are frauds. The placement cell head Mr. Nitin Chimwal focuses only on those students with whom he is in contact with. I think there is a scope of improvement in preparing the students for their communication skills. One good thing is that the college arranged courses for enhancing our aptitude skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory, not too big because there are only two branches of engineering, one is ECE and the other is CSE. Labs are maintained. If you want to learn, then faculty members and lab assistants will surely help you. It is in a very beautiful location which will help you with your study and no distractions.
Faculty: The faculty team is average. There are few good teachers who are permanent. But for temporary faculty members, I say that the college has to give more focus on and please follow the feedback assessment form. They all have knowledge no doubt but some faculty members lack in communicating it. The registrar, Mr. G.K. Pant and Chhaterjee sir are inspiring.
Other: I could say I had a very good time in BIAS. I enjoyed very much. The place, the surroundings, the ethical freedom we got, the environment I get to nourish myself with my seniors, my friends, all was enlightening for me. I learned a lot there but you should keep a good attitude which I have.
