Faculty members are amazing, but some are strict.
Placements: Around 40% to 50% of students manage to secure official on-campus internship offers directly through college drives during their 3rd year. Big players like Philips, Ericsson, Bosch, Intel, and Schneider Electric pick interns heavily. Many of these convert into solid Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) before final year exams even begin.
Infrastructure: BMSCE is honestly one of the best engineering colleges in Bangalore, especially if you want a perfect mix of a strict engineering curriculum and an amazing campus life. Being situated right in the heart of Basavanagudi, the campus vibe is completely unmatched.
Faculty: The professors here are highly experienced, with a significant number holding PhDs from prestigious institutions. Because BMSCE is autonomous, the syllabus gets updated regularly to match recent industry updates. Passing internal and semester exams isn't incredibly difficult if you pay attention in class and review previous years' question banks.
Other: I am interested in software, so I chose CSE.

I am very much satisfied with it.
Placements: Placements were few in the civil engineering branch. The highest package offered was 5 LPA last year. A lot of government jobs are available in the civil engineering field, so basically, skills are important to get placements rather than CGPA. Learning civil-related software is a must.
Infrastructure: There are good lab facilities. The lab attendees are also good. Multiple hostels are available from BMSCE around the campus within a 2 km radius. The availability of materials for conducting experiments is also good. The CAD lab has an AC facility.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful, except for a few whose teaching cannot be understood. There are three internals, and the best of 2 will be chosen. It is an autonomous college affiliated to VTU, so question papers and corrections are done by our college faculty.
Other: There are a lot of clubs that we can get exposed to. Multiple events like Utsav, Phaseshift, and Nirmaan organsied for civil students are the prominent ones.

An average college that can actually surprise you sometimes.
Placements: It is amazing this year, and provides good packages. The number of people getting placed is good. All in all, a great year for this college. Some branches have an amazing year like CSE and specialisations in CSE. But branches like mechanical and civil engineering are not so lucky.
Infrastructure: It can be improved. The rooms are good. Washrooms are hygienic, and the mess food is horrendous and needs to be dealt with immediately. But the rooms are spacious. There is good lighting and electricity arrangements. But there is the issue of dogs, always roaming around the campus.
Faculty: A lot of unnecessary subjects are being taught here, not worth the trouble. We don't need to be dealing with subjects like environmental science or mechanical engineering basics (as a CSE engineer). We can do without them, and they should immediately change that.
Other: Campus is small, and hardly any extracurricular activities are held. This college is average in my humble opinion. The fests are horrible, and they do last-minute arrangements.

It is an excellent and top-tier college in Bangalore.
Placements: I am nearly done with the first year of engineering at BMSCE Bangalore in the B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering course. This is an elite institution with very high-quality and knowledgeable faculty. Placements are top-tier. Companies like Amazon, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, TCS, and Infosys visit the college to offer placements with good packages.
Infrastructure: Hostels are old and small, but very well-maintained. The mess food is good. Its cooks and servants are generous, offering 3 full meals a day with evening snacks. Facilities are well-maintained. The college is close to several food facilities. Wardens are good and mind their own business.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. Many faculty members are doctoral holders in various fields from highly reputable institutions. The college offers ample opportunities for research and to showcase academic talent and extracurricular activities. The management is very supportive and listens to students about their problems and tries to fix them.
Other: Utsav by BMSCE is the biggest college techno-cultural fest in Karnataka. It is a 3-day festival with a crazy crowd and events.

This college is a place to learn and enjoy.
Placements: Last time, about 70-80 percent students were placed. Many good companies also approached the college. The students stood out and earned good packages in reputed companies. Overall, amazing and still improving, it is sure to provide us with placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel accommodation facility is very good. The food is amazing. There are IH and NH, international and national hostels. All students are helpful, and the hostel committees are amazing as well. I enjoy it here.
Faculty: Teachers are highly skilled and qualified, and are provided with academic excellence. They nourish the students and also provide us with real-life examples rather than just bookish knowledge. The pass percentage is quite good, reflecting the overall excellence.
Other: The college is crazily crowded and well-managed. It is a good college for engineering here in Karnataka, with students all across the globe. Different festivals are also celebrated and enjoyed by people.

I'm neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, it's not bad. Better than average.
Placements: Nearly 65-70% students get placed. The highest package goes upto 35 LPA, average 10-11 LPA. The lowest goes till 2-3 LPA. Companies like Oracle, HSBC, Nutanix, Natwest, and TCS recruit here. Some mass recruiting companies also come. About 40% get internship at HSBC, Oracle, Akamai, Natwest, 1-2 students at Visa, and Cisco. Roles offered are SDE, Analyst, web developer, cyber security.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average, the classrooms are okay, for first years, it's outside college campus, which is an issue. Those classrooms are really small and not very good. The Wi-Fi is really bad, it's hard to get even mobile internet connection in college. The library is small and gets overcrowded easily. The quality of food is good, but the cost is extremely high and not worth it, canteen is not good. There are no medical facilities, almost no sports facilities either as the college has a very small campus.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, but they are not helpful. They come to class and read slides from PPTs and just leave, some don't even bother to do that. Some don't enter doubts, and some get confused when you ask them doubts. Teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant. They have changed the syllabus recently, and some relevant subjects have been added. But you have to study them on your own. The teachers don't understand the new subjects much. The sem exams are easy, sort of. They ask 50% questions from PDFs and PPTs. The pass percentage is also average.
Other: I chose this course as software is somewhat what I've always been drawn to, hence I picked CSE as my stream. Less focus on theory and more on problem solving would be better. The events are okay, 2 fests happen every year. They are good but overrated, connectivity is good. Campus surroundings are okay.
