Overall, the experience was good.

Placements: If you were above 80%, you were safe in any category. This could vary if you had certificates in sports or cultural events. In the arts stream, the merit was slightly lower because the number of seats was higher, so you still had a chance even if you were around 70%. It was a renowned college in Himachal, and you might have had an advantage over students from other colleges. But, during my time, there was no campus placement programme. In my opinion, pursuing higher education was the better option.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was great, with separate buildings for each stream. The Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology sections were located on the first, second, and third floors respectively, with proper ventilation and equipment. Each floor had its own classrooms and laboratory. The hostel was available only for boys, while a girls' hostel was under construction. Boys' hostel consisted of two buildings that accommodated about 150 students. Each floor had a study room with proper seating arrangements. The mess provided good-quality food, offering three meals a day at a minimal charge of around Rs. 2,000 to 2,500.

Faculty: Teachers were absolutely highly qualified and helpful. But, the teaching was quite monotonous, and you had to stay in touch with teachers, otherwise, no one would pay much attention to you. By the end of the course, you would realize that when it came to assessments, marks, practicals, and vivas, having a good relationship with teachers often resulted in better marks. This approach somehow worked in almost every college, though I don’t know why. Exams were conducted well and fairly. Teachers sometimes asked about your marks and provided individual attention.

Other: I wanted to become a teacher, so I chose the B.Sc. course. Teachers were quite helpful, guiding us in our academic growth and providing insights about future opportunities. There was too much emphasis on file-making, which could have been improved. More declamation and debate competitions should have been organized. The fee was affordable. Although the campus was not very big, it had a calm and peaceful environment, surrounded by tall pine trees. Extracurricular activities were frequently organized, and students had enough opportunities to showcase their talents and capabilities.

Amazing college at hill station Shimla.

Placements: 60% of the students in my course were placed, with the highest package offered being 16 lakhs per annum and the lowest at 3 lakhs per annum. Many companies recruit from our college, including Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and Mahindra. 60% of students secured internships with these companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is excellent, with separate classrooms for each course. While there is hostel accommodation available for boys, there are currently no facilities for girls. All classrooms are well-maintained and clean. The college offers a variety of programs, including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.Voc, and more. In my opinion, it is a good college.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They possess excellent teaching qualities. The courses offered are relevant and aligned with the curriculum. Students are very grateful to have a degree from this college. Although semester exams can be challenging, students gain a lot of knowledge here, and the overall performance rates are good.

Other: My experience was so good when I was at the college. It's so good to have a degree from this college so make more admissions. You will have a lot of good experience from this college and learn a lot of things at this college.
