Great infrastructure and teaching, but the first B.Sc. NS batch is yet to pass out.

Placements: There is no placement record for B.Sc. Nautical Science yet because our course is only 3 years long. The first batch is currently in the 3rd year and is expected to be the first passing-out batch in 2026. We are the 3rd batch and are currently in the 1st year. So, there is no proper data available yet about placement percentage, packages, recruiting companies, or internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. Our School of Maritime Studies building is new and fully air-conditioned. The classrooms look modern, and the library has good maritime books. We also have 2 decent auditoriums. Hostel rooms are mostly 3-sharing, with some 2-sharing rooms. All rooms have AC, hot water, attached bathrooms, & study tables. Wi-Fi and washing machines are available on every floor. Food is generally good, and the weekly menu is followed. We also have 2 nurses and a small medical room. The campus has a cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, and cricket net.

Faculty: We have experienced captains who teach our shipping subjects. Their teaching is really good. For other subjects, we have good and well-qualified lecturers who are helpful and have good knowledge. Maths is the only subject I feel could be better. The teaching quality is good overall. The curriculum is relevant and prepares us for working on ships. We have 6 semesters, with 2 semesters each year. I am currently in the 1st semester, so I can't say much about exams yet. Seniors say the exams are moderate to hard. Almost everyone passes except a few.
