A decent college.
Placements: There are students who got placed in many reputed companies like Accenture, Oracle, and JP Morgan in my branch. The average package is 10 LPA, and the highest package is 41 LPA. They are placed as SDEs. The percentage of placement is above 60 percent in our branch (IT).
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and it continues to develop. The labs are good, and also the classrooms and library. The quality of facilities is good. The sports and games are good. The washrooms are IoT integrated. The hostel is not up to the mark, but it is decent.
Faculty: The faculty is good, and the curriculum is excellent. Exams are also good. The topics are relevant except for some subjects. The curriculum is good, as I am from Information Technology, so we have all IT subjects except for some other subjects. The exams are good, which makes us feel good.
Other: Our batch is supportive and good in terms of academics and curriculum. The faculty and seniors are supportive. Fests are very good, and the scholarship is good. Extracurricular activities help us.

Good college life and average infrastructure.
Placements: We have quite decent placements. But now many companies are not coming to our college. The highest package on paper is 60 LPA, the lowest is around 2 LPA, and the median is 5 LPA. Asian Paints, Qualcomm, Amazon, and Flipkart are the top recruiters for our college. I don't have much of an idea about the roles.
Infrastructure: We do have good facilities and infrastructure in our college, like everywhere you go, we have separate Wi-Fi for each floor in each block, spacious classrooms with digital projectors for interaction with students, a big library, and we have active clubs, activities, and interactive sessions with professionals and experts.
Faculty: We have experienced faculty who have a minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, and they do interact with students in the class. Except for a few, we only teach the subject in the curriculum when it comes to our curriculum and exams, not much tough. The papers are prepared by our separate branch faculty, and they are very moderate to hard.

Everything was good before a few years, but slowly the standards are falling.
Placements: I am from Information Technology, in my course, around 75% to 80% students got placed with a minimum of 3 LPA to 4 LPA, and the highest on-campus placement is around 20 LPA to 25 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JPMorgan, Zeta, Barclays, and LTI Mindtree.
Infrastructure: Every classroom has a projector. Wi-fi facility is not available. Coming to the library, it has a wide range of books, and it is very big and spacious. The college hostel has a cricket ground, gym, and sports facilities, which are good inside the campus are good. Canteen food is decent.
Faculty: Faculty at CBIT are well-qualified and helpful, but teaching quality is not up to the mark. The course curriculum is good, it does make students industry-ready. Most of the GATE exam syllabus is also covered in the curriculum. But professional electives are limited.

How can you expect a free seat, if you get a rank of 13179? You know that free seat will be given to those who obtained a rank below 10000, moreover it is difficult to get a seat in Information Technology in CBIT.

There are some changes like if you have a reservation or are physically handicapped. You might have a chance if you have any reservation criteria else give it a try. You have great chances of getting into this institute with this rank. Attend the counselling and choose your options appropriately. T
