CMRIT MCA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

CMR Institute of Technology MCA is a full-time Master of Computer Applications course affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The duration of the course is two years. The MCA curriculum of the course is divided into four semesters. Candidates need to undertake project work for four months during the fourth semester.

CMR Institute of Technology offers entrance exam-based admission to MCA. Mentioned below are the eligibility and selection criteria for MCA:

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka) from a recognised university
Selection: Entrance exam (PGCET/ KMAT) score + Centralised Counselling

CMR Institute of Technology MCA admission is an entrance exam-based. Candidates must appear for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka students only) and secure a valid score in the test to attain admission to MCA at CMR Institute of Technology. MCA admission through KMAT is open to both Karnataka and other state students.

CMRIT MCA Fees 2025

To secure final admission at CMRIT, candidates must make the MCA course payment in online mode. CMR Institute of Technology course fees include various components, such as tuition fees, exam fees, admission fees, and others. Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I am pursuing my MCA degree at CMRIT College. Talking about the percentage of students placed last year, almost 70% of them got placed, and the highest package was 11 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, MSG Global, and many more come every year.

Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, we have good classes with projectors and also good labs. The library is also good, as we have a lot of books to read, and it is also big. We also have Wi-Fi provided by the college. Also, the hostel is good, with beautiful rooms and hygienic food, which is better than PG food.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and have good knowledge of teaching. They help us with everything that can be done by them; also, they give us more opportunities to showcase our talent. The courses are relevant; all the subjects are good, and we also get good knowledge from them, which will be helpful in providing jobs.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Good placements in our college. One of the students got a 12 LPA package this year, and there are many more companies coming for the campus interviews. The top recruiters are Amazon and Microsoft, and the average package is 6.3 LPA, with the maximum package being 26.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: We have good Wi-Fi facilities for every block and lab. We even have charging facilities in the classrooms for laptops. Additionally, we have a vast library on campus where we can learn many things. We also have a basketball court and volleyball court, which students can use in their free time.

Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly, and teaching is also very good. They use real-time examples for teaching for better understanding. We have different programs at the college, like TYL, which prepares us to face interviews. Also, we have aptitude classes to improve our aptitude skills to crack the aptitude questions in the interview.

Other: Aura is the college-level festival, and even cultural festivals are organized in the college.

Placements: Placements are good; many companies come for hiring, and everyone gets opportunities. Internship and job offers start from the 2nd semester. Packages are decent, ranging from 4 LPA to 11 LPA. Many good companies come with job offers. We have multiple options for internships.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in every block. Labs are clean and have all the equipment; classrooms are big and have projectors. Hostels and food are okay. Canteen food is also okay. The library is also big and has all the books related to the course and available to issue.

Faculty: Teachers have Ph.D. level knowledge. They are supportive and not strict. They provide extra courses to make students ready for placement. Attendance is mandatory for all students, and they have other extra activities and many hackathons where we get to have practice.

Placements: Placements are offered in coding as well as non coding jobs with proper training to crack the interview. College has a programme named as "TYL" which helps rhe students to developed the required skills to crack the placement. Expert talks are being conducted to guide the students.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good. College has football ground, basketball court and other indoor and outdoor games. College has a canteen with indian food. College has library for students along with that college also has many AV halls for students to conduct events and seminars.

Faculty: Curriculum includes major current technologies and also subjects that can help us to choose the specific domain in future. Curriculum has different basics subjects that can develop a student to become computer application expert and allow him or her to participate in different coding competition.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Almost 40% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. Students get internships and job offers from companies. .

Infrastructure: Dedicated computer labs are available for practical knowledge. Projectors are available in our classrooms. Benches and desks should be more comfortable. Hostel facilities are good but the fee is not affordable. We can also accommodate PGs outside the campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and experienced. Semester exams are not tough if we prepare well. They conduct many exams. The passing percentage is around 40%. Semester exams are very hectic in this college.

Other: MCA is the most suitable course to pursue after completing BCA. It is one of the top colleges in Bangalore. Events are conducted. There is no extra time for co-curricular activities due to exams.

A very good college in Bangalore.

Placements: 85% students got placed with an average salary package of 6.3LPA. The highest salary package offered was 26LPA. 105 recruiters have participated in the placement process. The lowest package offered was 3.5LPA. The top recruiters are Wipro, Accenture, KPMG, EY, Amazon etc.

Infrastructure: CMRIT has a good infrastructure. The CMRIT central library provides an ideal environment for intellectual enquiry and its multiple study space, research assistance, reading, learning and instructional resources. The cafeteria is located in the heart of the campus.

Faculty: Faculty are very good with the students. Teachers are very supportive and friendly. Most of the teachers are IIT graduates. Teachers help the students in all possible ways they can and bring the best out in us. Faculty are approachable. Exams are easy with constant efforts.
