Everything depends on you, just be ready with self-preparation and do well in your career.
Placements: According to me placements in my college CMRIT is ok and above average because I am currently in the 2nd year of the CSE branch, and from our branch the last year almost 30 to 40 students got placed from the 300 students. They also have their own TYL-like criteria where you need to attend and clear all aptitude exams, technical programming tests, and soft skills sessions. If you didn't clear then they will definitely not allow you to sit in the placement drive when the company visits. So decide before getting into this college. So before getting into this college please think and decide once about placement. I already told you what happened if your CGPA is above 8.5 and if you are good at skills like coding you can earn a 14 LPA package.
Infrastructure: All the infrastructure, labs, Wi-Fi connection, and hostel facilities are good and fine.
Faculty: See this CMRIT College is not too much good as you expect. New Horizon and the other colleges like MS Ramaih and Nitte Meenakshi are far better than this college. Coming to faculty teachers and exams, everything is deepened by your teachers. Some of them teach well, and some are boring and not satisfying and don't hope that they will give you industry-ready skills. You should make it by yourself and as our college is handled only by VTU, 2 internals will be conducted from the college side for all semesters and in the same way you have the VTU exam.
Other: I chose computer science hoping that placement opportunities are better but I don't know some of them say good placements are there some of them no we can't trust anyone. So overall according to me college doesn't matter but if you choose this college then from the first semester itself, try to clear all theory levels and prepare your skills by yourself, using resources you can get from anywhere, YouTube, Instagram, and many more. So, do self-preparation and be ready at the beginning of the 6th semester, your career will start.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2027
3.6
Good faculty, balanced courses, and opportunities.
Placements: Batch 2025-27 MCA, around 75-80 percent of students are expected to get placed. The placements are good here, and the coaching for placements is really good here. The average package is around 6 LPA-7 LPA. The college provides TYL coaching, which includes aptitude and soft skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. It includes a college canteen for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Cafeterias are available, and washrooms are very hygienic, clean, and well-maintained. Hostel rooms are also very spacious, and the food in the hostel is very good.
Faculty: Faculty for this course are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide clear explanations and support whenever needed. Teaching quality is good with a balanced approach between theory and practical learning. Curriculum is good.
Other: I chose this course because it offers good career opportunities and helps build strong technical skills. The best part of the course is the supportive faculty, practical learning, and exposure to real-world concepts.

Decent college for Master's and UG.
Placements: The placements are good. The companies come for the placements programme. I recommend this college for the future opportunities as well. CMRIT has top recruiters, good salary packages, and consistent support for student careers with a good help of global exposure for students' careers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a good simple yet beautiful place with a huge astro turf, a football ground in the middle of the campus, a good library, etc. CMRIT classrooms, equipped workshops, and a hostel with basic amenities, security, and comfortable living for students overall.
Faculty: The faculty is well-educated and experienced to give you the best knowledge possible. Curriculum and exams are well structured and understandable. The curriculum is experienced, industry-oriented, and exams are structured to test concepts, application, and continuous learning.

Top placement training and solid academics. Good infra and decent vibes.
Placements: Placements are the college's strongest suit. The highest packages are around the 20-40 LPA range, with an average of around 7 LPA, which is solid for Bangalore. What stands out about the placement preparation is the TLY (Tie Your Places) initiative, a mandatory training track from the first semester that drills you on aptitude, soft skills, and competitive coding.
Infrastructure: The campus is a bit small but super well-utilised. It has specialised facilities like the MakerSpace and Incubation Centre. Labs are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, but it is very slow. Classrooms are standard. The library is the best place to study.
Faculty: The curriculum follows the VTU scheme, which is historically theory-heavy. However, the college bridges the gap with its own skill-building modules. The faculty members are generally supportive and qualified. As for the exams, you'll have 2 or 3 internal assessment (IA) tests per semester before the final VTU exams.
Other: In terms of Return on Investment, the college is quite satisfying for students who've entered through COMEDK and PGCET. The crowd is a diverse mix of local Bangalore students and people from across North India. Campus life is both busy and laid-back, depending on your contribution to extracurricular activities.

Placements are an average of 25. They bring bad companies and you might fail the worst exams.
Placements: About 40 percent got placed. The placements are bad. Sometimes they bought fraudulent companies which some students like me fell for. The highest package is about 23 LPA I guess. The lowest is very low. You can think it is lower than what you get working as a data entry guy.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, smart TV, library, chalkboard, and projector. The food is very good in the canteen. Sports are fine. The ground was not too big. At the hostel I didn't stay. I don't recommend it because even 4 sharing costs like 1.5 Lacs. It's worse to stay with that many people.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and adapted to this new world. The course was somewhat relevant. It doesn't make the students industry-ready. As it goes on the semesters become tougher. There is nothing like a pass percentage. You have to score more than 28 I guess out of 100.
Other: I chose this course because of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. As I was interested in this field, I played with data. Working on projects is one thing they must do. The campus was too boring. There are mid people everywhere.

Review after 6 months in CMRIT, Bangalore. Exceed the expectations.
Placements: The placement opportunities are there for sure, but you need to claim them. We see a lot of companies coming to the campus for hiring, and the states are pretty decent as well. Not sure of how many percent of students got placed, but it is quite good, as told by seniors. The highest package is around 44 LPA, the lowest could be around 4 LPA-5 LPA. While the average could be 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Belc Hitachi, Thermo Fischer, etc. Currently, we are in the 1st semester, so I have no idea about an internship. Top roles include SDE, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is extremely beautiful, both interior and exterior. Wi-Fi is available as campus Wi-Fi. Labs are available for the subjects Python, C, Maths, Chemistry, and Physics in our department. There are also CAD labs. Classrooms have a conventional green board and a smart board. The library is extremely good, and most of my time goes there.
Faculty: Faculty members behave very nicely with all students, and their behaviour is something to appreciate for sure. They are extremely helpful for all your academic doubts. The course has many extra things, including aptitude, communication skills, centre of excellence, etc. To boost your placement chances, I mean, along with a conventional course, you have to make at least one project every semester, and one major online course is required by every student and teachers as well for continuous improvement for everyone. Semester exams, as told by seniors, are difficult to score.
Other: I chose this course because I want to make a career in Data Science. The best things about my course are the relevance to the current job market, as I suppose. I wish we had more free time for us to spend according to ourselves because currently the course becomes hectic and very time-consuming.

Both CMRIT Bangalore and REVA University are good options for BTech in Electrical Engineering. Both have similar ratings. Reviews suggest to pick REVA University for good infrastructure and CMRIT for its VTU affiliation. Students can check the reviews for both institutes to decide.
