CEP is the second-best college in Kollam. As CEPian, it's a good experience.
Placements: College of engineering Perumon is a college in kollam, Kerala. This college has an average placement cell. Placement cell is active in this college. It provides placement oriented classes for 3rd and 4th year students. Most of the students attending this class are placed in so many big companies with maximum 6LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is below average. It is not that good. Buildings are average. This college has 25 acres of land. But college has no hostel. Only homestays are available here. Homestays have boring food and there are so many other problems in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in this college are supportive, friendly and qualified. Teaching quality is average. But they are trying to make this college a school. That's the most the worst experience I got from this college. Exams are not a problem here. Series exams are not a problem. Semester exams are quite tough to pass.

Review of College of Engineering Perumon.
Placements: Placements are good. Top IT companies like Infosys and TCS have recruited at our college. As the companies are mainly IT-oriented, students from the computer or IT department have first priority. There are many other small and top companies that offer quite a lot of placement opportunities for every branch.
Infrastructure: The department block is quite old and in poor condition, but it is still better than other blocks. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, but you need the permission of the authorities to get the password. There is no official college hostel, but there are many private hostels nearby for boys and girls that provide good and hygienic food.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and well-qualified. They cleared up all our doubts. The curriculum is almost entirely theoretical and provides little practical knowledge. Series exams are quite easy and only need to refer to notes, but we also need to refer to external sources for getting good marks in semester exams.
Other: They conduct good cultural festivals.

Really good campus life and culturals.
Placements: There is active placement cell in the campus. Mostly the companies recruiting are computer core companies and mostly prefer computer Science students. However they can still participate in other core companies and can have chance to get recruited. Some top companies in the placement are COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICE.
Infrastructure: Mechanical block is the newest block compared to other branches and large too but have little maintenance. The toilet facility is quite bad and really disgusting. There is no official college hostel but have many private hostels nearby for both girls and boys. The quality of food in the canteen is good and cheap too.
Faculty: Faculty members and teaching departments are quite friendly to the students and also well qualified. They provide good teaching quality and also very interactive. The curriculum also provide practical knowledge of the subject in the respective mechanical lab which also have lab exam both internal and external. Series exam is quite easy and only need to refer college notes and for semester exam it is better to refer some external source.
Other: There is tech fest and art fest to nourish the culture skill and to enjoy the campus life and also provide sports and athletics all in the even semester of the year.

One of the best engineering colleges in Kollam district, Kerala.
Placements: From 6th semester placement starts. Usually IT companies comes for the campus placements. Also some automobile companies also comes. The highest salary package provided was around 6 Lacs and the lowest was around 2.4 Lacs per annum. Around 40%-50% students get placed. Internships are to be completed outside our college in a industry of our choice.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is good, but not the best. Lab facilities are good. Hostel are provided outside the campus but very closer to the college. Food provided in canteen is good and economical. There are a lot of cultural, technical and sports event in our college.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful and friendly. The exams are really difficult but with good support of the teachers a good pass percentage is obtained. Even if students has back papers teachers will help them to clear it. Weekly 5 days class regular class from 9am to 4pm.
Other: I am very happy to study in Perumon college of engineering. It is one of the best colleges in Kollam district being affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. It provides a good curriculum for the students to enhance the knowledge in subjects.

Review of College of Engineering Perumon.
Placements: There are very few core placements for mechanical students. However, other branches, especially CS, have good placement opportunities. Mechanical students can also sit for other companies. Top recruiting companies are Cognizant, TCS and Infosys.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel facilities are quite odd and still the same as when the college started. Wi-Fi is available on campus but only for faculty and administrative officers, and not for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite friendly in the mechanical department. Faculty in other departments seem to be a bit strict. There are 2 semester exams a year. Exams are quite easy. One can score good marks.

The college has very good ambience and very friendly and supportive teachers.
Placements: CS students have more placements compared to mechanical students. The main companies that come here for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. It is a preferable college in Kollam compared to other private colleges in Kollam as many companies come for placements.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. It has good labs. The library is quite good, and the food provided in the canteen is good enough and affordable too. Sports and games are conducted here. Teachers are very supportive in conducting sports and games. Medical services are good enough.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Exams are difficult. The pass percentage is very good. Teachers are really supportive. Even if the syllabus is tough, they would take good care and help the students to clear their arrears. Teachers are well-qualified.
Other: Events are conducted during even semesters.

Turning to be a disaster college!
Placements: There is quite a bunch of opportunities for IT/CS department, but sadly for other branches especially for mechanical branch, there is little or no placement from their core companies. Still they can have opportunities to participate in recruitment out of their field. Top companies: COGNIZANT, TCS, INFOSYS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite below average and quite a bit old. There is a lab and other equipments, but most of them are unstable and old. Wi-Fi is available, but only to administrative staff and teaching staff and not for students. The classrooms are not maintained and is still the same as when the college started, especially the toilet facility in the mechanical branch is a complete disaster. They do not maintain it even though we complain about it.
Faculty: The teaching departments of mechanical branch is quite friendly and helpful, but for other branches, according to my knowledge, their teachers are not very friendly towards students. The pass percentage is quite good, as the merit seat is awarded only to good rank holders. Students qualified will be at least average and good in their works.
Other: The campus was really good during the first semester. Now the college authorities are trying to make the college like a school with strict discipline. It is fine, but over controlling is seriously messing the mental health of the students. If anyone is thinking to join for mechanical branch here, feel free to go. The mechanical student's life is still quite good and have good freedom.

The campus is lush green.
Placements: About 60-75% of students got placed in different companies, including top MNCs such as Cognizant, Infosys, UST, QBurst, Quest global, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Federal Bank, Indian Navy etc. The maximum package was 8 to 12 LPA offered last year, and the average package was 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-built infrastructure. Wi-Fi and well-equipped labs are available to study practically. Most of the classrooms have smartboards. A library is available in the administrative block with sufficient books. The college does provide hostel facilities which are private hostels and controlled by a hotel committee. The quality of food is average, and the college has a canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and well qualified for the job. Most of them are guest lecturers, and the subjects are taught well. The college is under KTU, and the curriculum is renewed every 4 years. The pass percentage of students is quite good, and it is about 72%.
