The unitary public university of the government of Maharashtra, through 14 departments, offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and PhD programmes to students. There is no such provision for direct admission to the MBA programme at COEP Technological University (formerly COEP). COEP Pune MBA admissions are entirely entrance exam-based. Candidates willing to take admission to the MBA programme must take any of the following entrance exams:
- Candidates who belong to the Maharashtra region need to take the MAH-CET exam conducted by the Maharashtra Government.
- And, those who are outside of Maharashtra can take any of the entrance exams, i.e. MAH-CET/ CAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT.
- Candidates having valid scores in any of the aforementioned exams can apply for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) through the MH-CET official website.

For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.
