Almost Satisfaction and the worst Experience of this college.

Placements: Honestly, not much placements are offered in this college, especially for our course B.Sc. In computer Science). Only about 2-3 courses will be there in our college which get placements continuously I. e B.Com BCA BBA etc. The placements are offered by less known companies and packages are also average or sometimes below average.

Infrastructure: If we talk about the infrastructure of our course, then I would say it is the worst. Emphasis is given only on theoretical studies. No one care about practical experience there. Scheduling of our all the lectures of the course is even worse. Now if we talk about the hostels of our college, then feels is higher with poor infrastructure.

Faculty: Only about 2% of the faculty of our college is helping towards the students otherwise rest of the faculty generally don't care about students. For the preparation of the upcoming exams, house tests ( MST - mid semester tests ) have been organised every semester, which is pretty good idea for the preparation of exams.

Other: Honesty I made a mistake by choosing this course in this college. The worst thing is the schedule and timings of our lectures of this course. It becomes very tough for the students who come to college from far away. They always miss their lectures just because of the poor schedule of the course.

It is the best college for students.

Placements: The placement rate is quite high in our college. The college provides good lectures regarding placements. Teachers in the placement team are dealing in a good way with students. Students get a good opportunity to deal with different companies.

Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi connection, and everyone visits the library very frequently. We have good food and sports facilities in the college. The medical facilities are quite beneficial, which helps many students to recover well.

Faculty: The faculty members in our college are good and helpful. Students used to take help from teachers. They give in-depth knowledge to students. Many teachers are good and very kind. Our college offers different courses.

Other: The campus crowd is too high. The events conducted in our college are good.

The college had good placements in the last few years.

Placements: DAV College conducts a bundle of placement drives, both on-campus and off-campus. Each year, a bunch of people gets selected for one or multiple job profiles. Not only this, our college also provides demo placement drives and numerous workshops that help students to be prepared before real drives.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a little old as the college is very old, but a few blocks are fully furnished as they are recently renovated. Free Wi-Fi access is available on the whole campus. Labs are well-equipped, but they can be improved. Classrooms are big and have proper ventilation, which adds to a good atmosphere inside classrooms.

Faculty: Teachers in DAV College are the best. There are highly trained staff and are always ready to help and support students in the best way they can. Teaching quality is good, and that is the best thing about this college. They provide every sort of help that is required.

It is the best college in Jalandhar.

Placements: Our college has great facilities for placement. We are provided with good jobs and internship facilities by our placement team. Students of our college are also selected for different jobs, and they also make our college proud. It helps us in dealing with a large scale of people.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good Wi-Fi connection. We have a large library which has access to different books. The condition of classrooms is also good. Our college has a good canteen which consists of good food items. Dealing with a good environment makes us happy.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good, very helpful and knowledgeable. They let their students learn a wide range of things. Students also make their college and parents proud of themselves. Our college has good department staff members.

Placements: Around 40% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 41,000 per month and minimum salary offered was Rs. 16,000. Top recruiting companies were Wipro, Infosys and HCl. The employee was the top role offered. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. About 60% of students got an internship.

Infrastructure: Our college campus has free Wi-Fi facility, labs are good, and proper equipment is available for students to use. Classrooms are neat and good, and the library is one of the highlighting features as they've one of the best books. Quality of food in the canteen is good, and soft drinks are bit costly, but the rest is good. Sports opportunities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers were really helpful, qualified, and all the teachers are highly educated. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is helpful for the students as it makes them industry-ready. This should be available for all the students.

Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to work in big respected companies and all the new things I got to learn. Some irrelevant stuff should be removed. Events and fests organised were fun and good.

Dissatisfied because of the infrastructure.

Placements: Almost all students willing to get placed do get a job in our college but sometimes their expectation for good salary package isn't fulfilled. As no one from my batch has been recruited for any company but from my senior batch, the best company came was Wipro. The average package offered was about 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: To be honest the infrastructure of our college is not so good except for the IT dept. Labs are good but they don't provide us with Wi-Fi and classrooms are not so well furnished. Being a local student, I don't have much idea about the hostel facilities but from my friends said that it is not up to the mark.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and are really helpful. Their teaching quality is also good. But according to me, due to their job security issues, they become non serious while teaching. Yet many of them are fully loyal to their work. The course I have opted for do make students ready for both teaching as well as jobs in MNCs.

Other: The best things about my course is that it makes us ready for both teaching jobs as well as jobs in MNCs.

Review of D.A.V. College Jalandhar.

Placements: Around 45-50% of the students were placed. The lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 2.5-3.0 LPA. Top companies like Google, Amazon, etc., visited for recruiting students from our college. Top roles offered are SQL, Oracle, MS-Access, C++. The salary package offered in our course was 1 to 3.0 LPA. About 5% of students got an internship at Amazon, Flipkart, etc. Placements are really good automatically our college and teachers recommend not only the creme layer but encourages all of the students to take part.

Infrastructure: Labs are excellent and well equipped every component important for practicals. These are centralized. Classrooms are not up to the mark. Wi-Fi is available all the time. The library is part of our college, and it has around 103 years of old books. Food quality is average. Canteen is not good, and it is messy. Sports facilities are not available.

Faculty: Teachers are splendiferously good. Teaching quality is best, and no other college can beat it in terms of education. The course curriculum is relevant completely, but students have to put some efforts. Some activities are organised internally as well as among different colleges.

Other: I have chosen this course due to my interest and awareness of some fields which are automatically parred in IT industry. They should improve their practical knowledge. Events and fests are conducted at certain times.

I am satisfied with the faculty, but not with the facilities provided here.

Placements: There are very few placements, but our college is doing it's best to provide more opportunities for students. Recently, it has set up placement and skill development cell. It tries its best to place all students in good companies, but only local companies visit our campus for placements.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious but are not equipped with basic facilities. There are only two fans in a huge classroom and no lights. However, Wi-Fi facility is available with 1.5 GB for each student per day. There is also a library and equipped with all books.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. Moreover, most of the faculty members are highly experienced. They guide us, and there are other temporary staff with full enthusiasm. Moreover, our course curriculum is relevant, but there's the need to increase practicals.
