There is no placements available for food technologist in our college.
Placements: Almost 55% to 80% of the students got placed. The salary offered ranges from Rs.10,000 per month to Rs. 60,000 per month. Companies like Nestle, Britannia, Delhi Monte, Mother diary, etc., visited our campus for placements. Students got an industrial job, a professor in college and universities, and stated own manufacturing. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA. Every student did training, and everyone prefers the industry near their home and mainly industries like Verka, Nestle, Amul, Bonn, etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides a proper department. There are three labs in which nine fans and every needed thing is available. The hostel is very good as the wardens are not very strict and no raging from our seniors. The hostel is fully comfortable, and there are lots of bathroom and toilets.
Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced, and I am very glad to get knowledge from them. Pankaj Gupta is the best teacher ever I got in my life. Teachers are very knowledgeable, supportive. This course covers all the fields theoretically. You should go for training to have a high level of practice every year in June.
Other: When I have chosen this course It was at top-ranking and less competitive than others. It should provide more jobs. Thr college needs to increase the syllabus. We celebrate food festival.

DAV College, Jalandhar is cool but a bit old type.
Placements: The placements are not good and many were not placed. 90% of the students were not placed. The highest salary was around Rs. 15,000 per month & the lowest Rs. 10,000 per month. Regal Enterprises visited our college. They offered students the role of writing articles about food. There is a placement cell. It works alright, but not that useful.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi was there, but it was quite slow. The labs were okay. The library is very good, and you will love it. Hostel rooms were okay and good for those who opt for AC rooms. The canteen was good especially Aloo paratha. The rooms are quite hot in summers. There is no playground in the hostel, and only gardens are available. The warden was cool. The food in the mess was not that good, and it was of poor quality.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, and the teaching quality is not high. They don't have many facilities. Old equipment is there. The technology is not upgraded. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1. The course curriculum is useful, of course, it is still helping me, but I think they need to upgrade their syllabi.
Other: Events were there.
