Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2025
2.6
Choose : Serenity or sanity!
Placements: As B.Arch is a professional course, we do not have a placement cell for this course. Although the college helps with referrals for internships. Packages vary vastly anywhere from 5000-50000 INR a month depending upon the skills. Most students in my campus haven't had issues getting placed.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and lecture halls are basic (seating and projector), exhibition hall, auditorium are alright too. Big, open space for workshop is lacking. Computer labs aren't well-equipped with the latest software. Wi-Fi is available throughout campus thought quite slow in many areas. Hostel is okay too but expensive. For sports there is an activity centre with a gym, billiards table, etc. And a basketball court.
Faculty: Most teachers are really helpful and try their best to reach out and understand students. Some are quite backward and/or not upto current industry knowledge/standards which makes the course a bit regressive. Course curriculum followed is VTU prescribed. Most of the subjects do not follow the latest industry standards and are repetitive. There's a lack of digital skills taught which are needed post graduation. Only 50% of the syllabus can be considered relevant. Semester exams are quite easy. Theory is always a breeze although design is a long term situation that requires a lot of creativity, patience and punctuality.
Other: I chose this course because of the vast and versatile skills it teaches. It equips you with multiple career options for the future, also the freedom to be creative. I wish the curriculum was directed to be more practical and industry oriented with more exposure. Events go on throughout the year. There are many interdepartmental events organised as well. Architecture students have many out of campus event and field trips too. Campus crowd here is quite average but fun. Alumni connect is great. Campus surrounding is kind of lacking due to its location being out of Bangalore city limits. There are no scholarships based on merit as far as I'm aware, atleast for general category.

Our college is good for our future.
Placements: Our college provides 100% placements. Around 85-90% of students get placed every year in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college has many labs. Our classrooms are spacious and have enough space to study properly. The library facility is very good. The food served in the hostel is good. Our college provides a system for students to do practicals, and it helps students to learn by themselves. Our lab is good.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good. The HOD and non-teaching staff members are friendly.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to become an architect, and it is a very interesting course. Our college conducts many events every year. Esperanza and Virtuoso are the main events of our college. The course fee is Rs. 2,00,000 per annum for all four years.

Good campus but needs improvement.
Placements: There are no placements for any architecture courses and also we were also the first batch of architecture students in this college. But the other courses had a good number of placements and around 65% were placed through campus. Internship. Through college was not organised and had to be searched by the students themselves.
Infrastructure: The campus as such was a good one but lacking facilities of sports and medical aid. There was no Wi-Fi available at the campus and the college had a good library. Labs were less compared to the number of students. And the lab instructors were few in number to assist the students.
Faculty: All the teachers were well versed in the subjects and had a good number of external faculty members visiting the college. We had a lot of practical experiences like field visits and various architectural tours. The student teacher ratio is 60:3 which is a normal to be followed.

Very friendly senior's, there's no ragging.
Placements: Good placement rates in other department Architecture like all other colleges in india does not have placement college is regularly visited by reputed companies like Accenture and others annual packages go upto 12 lacs. Senior's have achieved VTU ranks. Internships are alloted on the presentation of portfolio and yearly work architecture internship happens in the last academic year after thesis.
Infrastructure: Has good infrastructure very well maintained campus, had high-speed Wi-Fi, digital library,. Hostel is inside the campus has separate girls and boys hostel. Mess food is good compared to a lot of other colleges. College campus is small has a basketball court but has no foot ball court. Has a canteen which is good has a good menu in both veg and non veg. Canteen is clean housekeeping staff clean the campus at regular intervals. Has a sports block and a gym. Indoor badminton and a squash court.
Faculty: Architecture has really good faculty they have helped us get a lot of prizes in fashion and other inter college competitions. Curriculum is the VTU curriculum. Teachers a very knowledgeable and experienced. External faculty are excellent college has good teaching quality have frequent site visits and use of digital study method. Hands of expertise is gained by making interesting study models. Student-faculty ration is very good in the main design subject we have a ratio of 12:1 I. e for every 12 students there is one student alloted.
Other: Campus is a bit far from city but has but connectivity.

The worst faculty, and no placements. Also, the infrastructure is not up to the mark.
Placements: There are no placements for architecture and civil students. They promise about placements during admissions, but later, you don't get them. All the other branches of engineering do get placements, but the problem is only with the architecture and civil branches. This is the case in all the other colleges as well.
Infrastructure: By far, the best infrastructure is present here compared to all other colleges in Bangalore. Wi-Fi facility was promised here, but we did not get it. The canteen was not that good on our campus. For the architecture department, they had not provided computer labs until the 4th year. We also have a CAD training during our 3rd year, but we ended up not learning from the college. The library here literally has no books.
Faculty: The worst faculty I've seen here. Though being qualified and knowledgeable, they don't share their knowledge as they favour only a few. All they want is to pass the favoured ones and hold back the others. They literally played around with our marks. We were controlled by them just because our marks were in their hands.
Other: The connectivity to the campus here is good through the public transport. It is located on the national highway. There will be bad fests and no events. There are only empty lands here around the campus. The nearest one would be 3 km away.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: The placements are there in Kumaeswamy layout campus and no campus selection in my college. We need to attend the placements on the main campus. 40 percent of the students were placed. The highest salary was 7.2 lacs, and the lowest salary was 2.4 lacs. The companies were Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. 30 percent of the students got the internship from college, the stipend was not paid.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi connectivity on the campus. The lab equipment is not that much efficient. The classrooms are good. The quality of the canteen is not up to the mark. The hostel rooms are very good. The hostels are provided with good facilities, but it is not the worth of the money paid to the hostel. The classrooms are in cleaned position. The overall campus looks moderately when compared to other colleges. But library facility is not good. No modern textbooks are available in that library.
Faculty: The faculty are not at all good, they were unable to make the concepts understandable to students. Their degree of knowledge was very poor. They don't use any modern methods to facilitate the concept effectively. 25:1 is the student to faculty ratio. No industry exposure was given to the students. The course curriculum was not at all useful.

Best infrastructure, worth the money and time.
Placements: The placements were pretty good, but actually, the placement officers don't just go with the normal graduates. They expect the individual to have excelled in at least two specific skill sets and should have done a model or workshop in every semester and should be able to communicate fluently in at least two languages. Overall, the placements are pretty good only if you're a talented one you can grab the opportunity easily. The highest salary offered was Rs. 7.2 lacs per annum and the least offer was Rs. 3.2 lacs per annum. Out of the class of 50, almost 38 students got placed. Eventually, the companies that visited are Locus Architects, Krayons Interiors Systems and Tatya Infrabuild. At least, 30% students got the internships.
Infrastructure: This college has the best infrastructure amongst all the colleges in Bangalore. The classrooms are equipped with the Wi-Fi facility. The labs are sophisticated. The food that we get in the canteen on average. The hostel rooms are not at par. The labs are equipped with all the new equipment. The college has an annual sports festival where we all can take part and have an amazing time. It is a big campus where we can spend some time for ourselves. It has a good environment.
Faculty: The faculty is really helpful and takes all the efforts for us to excel. But, some of the staff members are not too good, and we have to deal with it. We've had two industrial visits already in the first year: one is to Delhi, and the other is believed to be Halebid. We visit one small place every alternate week. The crowd around the college is limited and really good. Every month, the college conducts fests for everyone and also there will be fests for each branch all through the year.

A place where you have to make your own destiny
Placements: Placements for B.Arch students are not available. As you have to look for that on your own. But as far as the placement is considered for other departments, the placement percentage is good as many talented and worthy students have been placed. Many big companies come to recruit.
Infrastructure: According to me, the architecture block justifies the creativeness of students. The architect block has is very creative. Each block is different from one another. The college consists of a basketball court and a sports complex consisting of a tennis court, a squash court and other indoor games. Also, there is a gym which is well equipped. The library block has a digital room and a study room on each and every floor, which is quite comfortable. The library is well-equipped.
Faculty: Be ready for self-study from day one. Because judging faculty members is very subjective. Some like it while some don't. Course description: There are 3 internals held in the college and the syllabus for a test for a preset. The students are required to write assignments which will be their hall ticket for the tests. Marks will be allotted for the assignment. So, assignments are necessary. The questions in the assignments will appear for tests, nothing will be changed. These questions are important for exams as well.
