Bad placement record for year 2024 passouts.
Placements: Till mid-September, no students have been placed from the ECE department. Our placement officer doesn't concentrate on core companies but rather focuses on IT, and tells us to prepare for IT companies instead of focusing on the core electronics company. The average package you see will be from computer science and allied branches which is obviously inflated. I have seen the average package my seniors who are placed in IT is around 4 LPA. 1 of my seniors got placed into Micron Semi for 17 LPA which is the highest from my department.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay, but during gloomy days the lighting is not enough. But lab conditions are very bad. Nothing works properly in analog and digital lab. Our communication lab is straight from 19th century, you can hardly find a set of working components. The voltage regulators are broken, they keep fluctuating, and the signal/frequency generators. They cannot generate a signal in the millivolt range, yet you are expected to get output.
Faculty: Teachers are okay, it depends specifically on individual teacher and from exam centric point of view all of them are okay. The curriculum is okay but not upto par with industry standard. Semester exams are okay, and sometimes the evaluation is done quite strictly.
Other: I didn't choose ECE, it was KEA who allotted me this seat through KCET, yet I loved the stream. My course can be improved by including more hands-on training in IoT, embedded, analog, and digital electronics. The college fests happen twice a year, they are namely Esparanza and Anatarangi, they are good.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, good placements, and a good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Very good placements which is given by the college and the students are getting placed for many jobs in the campus placements which is given by the college. The students who are applying for these placements should be careful and should carefully apply.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at the college is good, and the hostel is also good according to many students who time me, but the good is not that great, and the rest of the things in and from the college are good, and they are still trying to improve all the left out mistakes.
Faculty: Faculty is very good as they help us and clear all our doubts, and help in solving all the problems that are faced by the students in the college, and solve all the doubts that we ask without being annoyed to help us and solve our doubts.

Sadist HOD rules like Hitler.
Placements: DSI claims to be a top institution but offers limited support to non-CS/IS branches, especially ECE. Main campus students get most opportunities, while others are neglected. In ECE, there's no core industry training.
Infrastructure: Fees are literally so high that it's for four sharing for 10 months. They take up to 2 lakhs just for hostel. Warden, that lady is really a nightmare. She is an old lady who finds it difficult to walk even from ground floor to basement floor. The housekeeping staff must handle the chaos of that lady, like washing and drying her clothes, making coffee, etc. That mess uncle, he doesn't even give you an extra mirchi pakoda, even after taking so much money from the students. This hostel is not at all recommended
Faculty: Exam rules are good, but the funny thing is, they catch the one who is writing in a hurry, but not the one who is copying. That too, they come from another department in the middle of the exam. This is for internals, but for externals, they don't even check our pockets, either. Despite good faculty support, the HOD creates a toxic environment. I'm not a poor performer. I hold an 8.7 CGPA and have completed two VLSI-based patentable projects. I've actively participated in all technical and non-cultural events. Still, ECE students here are at a huge disadvantage.
Other: The HOD is extremely strict. Even final year students must arrive before him, with no attendance leniency for internships or college events.

Strong infrastructure and supportive faculty members.
Placements: For the 2024-2025 placement season, DSATM recorded over 376+ offers with 64+ recruiters on campus. The highest package stood at 25 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The batch of 2024 had an average package of 6LPA. QND 500+ offers were above 4 LPA. About 80% of students get placement.
Infrastructure: DSATM? A decent college with good infrastructure and a good student body.
Placements: When it comes to placements, all the Dayananda Sagar institutions come together for a competitive one. Basically, all the candidates are taken for their main placements from the main campus, where well-reputed companies visit the college. In this institution, the salaries offered are around 6-7 LPA on average, with the highest packages varying into double digits. The offers are pretty good at Dayananda Sagar for students to settle into their dream job with just the skills they've mastered.
Infrastructure: Campus on Kanakapura Road is a bit far from the city. It's not huge, but it's not very small either, it has a decent capacity with specific blocks for particular courses, equipped with labs and lecture halls. The infrastructure is satisfactory for students to study in this college, but you can't expect it to meet every need.
Faculty: Since our college became autonomous last year, there have been pros in academics and staff. It has a smooth curriculum and examination process, along with experienced lecturers who provide the best help with doubts and assist you with future projects and certifications. The exams are doable if you study and gain knowledge from your particular course.
Other: Since the course I opted for, Data Science, is new since I joined, it has been the most valuable course offered for the future. It is taught wisely. The people and the environment are quite friendly and peaceful. The fests and tech fests are pretty awesome at DSATM and involve a lot of fun for every student.

A very basic college and placements are disappointing here.
Placements: My course got the top placements with a salary package of 40 LPA. Last year the percentage of students get placement was not bad. Accenture visited the college for placements. According to my seniors, placement opportunities are less as they recruit students from the main branch. About 60% of students got internship in Accenture. I do not have any idea about the roles offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Labs are decent. Classrooms are not spacious as corridors are small. Washrooms are not clean. The hostel is not too great. The library is good, and we have a digital library as well as private study zones. We have a student activity center which has table tennis, hand football, carrom, etc. The gym and tennis court in the auditorium are good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified yet I expected more assistance from them. The course curriculum is relevant and it gives real-life applications. I have not written the semester exam yet, but I wrote 1 internals and it was not too easy as we needed more guidance. The pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in coding and it has a lot of scope and job opportunities. I want my course to not include Maths subject as it is really tough and not required instead they can add more programming courses. A lot of events take place on our campus, and it is enjoyable. Fest organised includes DJ nights. The campus crowd is pretty good, and we have a lot of places to hang out in our campus surroundings. Extracurricular activities are given importance and are appreciable.
