Q:   How are BSc placements at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?
    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, placements for undergraduate courses like BA, BCom or BSc are definitely not like placements after graduation in engineering. This is so because it is considered that after engineering majority of the students will look for a job while for other streams of graduations, majority of students may look for doing post graduation in some specialised area. As a result of this it is nightmare to come to conclusion based on this statistics. In the case of DDU under Delhi University the data is not available for different streams of under graduation but this club under single heading called under graduate students. Total number of students place or short of hundred out of about 800 students who pass out. But interesting aspect is that more than two and half times the number of students placed or not even looking for response but see admission for higher studies. Whenever a student who is intending to do BSc most look at this aspect and not get swayed by figures of placements.

Good college with nice infrastructure, but placements could be better.
Placements: Placements in our college is average, not very high but not very bad also. Around 35-50 percent of students got placed depending on the course. For courses like BMS and B.Com placements are better, but for Science courses they are less. For Science students this college is very helpful if you want to pursue a 4th year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. Classrooms are air-conditioned and well-maintained. The library is also very good with many books. Labs and computer facilities are also proper. Wi-Fi is available but sometimes it doesn't work properly. Canteen food is okay, not very tasty but manageable. The sports ground is a little small so the sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, most of them explain topics clearly. Faculty is one of the strong points of this college. The course curriculum is relevant but still little bit outdated so students need to put in extra effort. Exams are not very tough if you study regularly, passing is not difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and also because of the brand value of DU. The best thing about college is the infrastructure and faculty support. But placements should be improved, and more companies should come. College should also focus on practical knowledge and skills, not only theory. More events and activities can make campus life better.

Good infrastructure, bad courses, attendance is strict, decent placements, small ground, great fest.
Placements: Less than 10 people are placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the average is 3–4 LPA. EY, Deloitte, and KPMG visit the campus. They post internships, the good ones have huge competition. Less than 10 percent are placed. To be honest, most of the good students get placed outside the campus. It’s decent if you consider it an off-campus college of DU. Don’t expect too much from this college.
Infrastructure: The college has top-level infrastructure like centralized AC, a big library, and a decent-sized auditorium. But it has a small triangular ground, so it's hard to play any decent sports. It has only one big building with 6 floors, just one huge building. It also has a good Wi-Fi network, and every department has its own computer lab. Some classes/labs have smart boards. About the hostel, I don’t know much, but from what I’ve heard from hostel students, it is good but expensive, really expensive, and competitive to get.
Faculty: Teachers are really qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them have done a Master’s or Ph.D., and they know their stuff. But I noticed that the college has too many guest teachers. I don’t know if it’s the same for every college, but my college has too many guest teachers. The curriculum is your average and old. The exam level is decent, and most students pass, but remember to keep your attendance up. If your attendance is not completed, you will get detained. In Semester 1, around 90 students got detained.
Other: If you are coming to this college with a course like B.Sc. Programme Computer Science, be ready to get ignored. Nepotism works like Hons students get everything so be prepared. In this college, attendance is good. If your attendance is not above 47 percent (without medical), you will get detained. As for the fest, it’s fire, with good fests and events, and our neighbour is NSUT, so more fire. They provide two types of help, one is a scholarship and the other is a fee waiver. The scholarship is merit-based, and the waiver is income-based. The scholarship gives about 2/3.

Good in terms of teaching and faculty. Crowd is average, otherwise a good college.
Placements: Placements are pretty average. Chances of getting internships are high because of the placement cell. Placement cell actively works on different internships and share those with us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure with respect to classes is good, but grounds are average. The quality of food in the canteen is just above average. Sports and games facilities are also average. Labs, classrooms, and the library are excellent with working computers. Wi-Fi facility is also there. A ground is average because of less area. Other than that, it's average.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty good, according to me. Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It does make students industry-ready. The difficulty of semester exams is above average. It is good in terms of teaching.

The college has a good environment, is affordable, and has good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in our course are average and mostly depend on student’s own skills. But other career options are good within the course. If you want placements directly from the college, they are average, but if you study further, there is scope. The highest package offered is around 6–7 LPA, and the lowest package is about 2–2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is satisfactory and sufficient for academic needs. Classrooms are spacious with basic teaching aids. The library is good. The canteen is also good. There are good grounds and a separate building with sports equipment and a gym.
Faculty: Most faculty members are qualified, experienced, and supportive. They are approachable outside class hours and help students with doubts. The college also provides a mentor-mentee system to solve personal problems. With regular study and attendance, clearing exams is manageable. The pass percentage is fairly high.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the subject and its strong academic foundation. It is useful for higher studies, competitive exams, and analytical careers.

Placements: For the B. BS in Mathematics Science course at Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, University of Delhi, Dwarka, specific placement data for the 2018 batch is not publicly available. Science courses, especially mathematics or related programmes. Historically, they have limited the placement compared to commerce to all business-oriented courses. Faculty: The faculty for the B. BS in Mathematics Science course at Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, University of Delhi, Dwarka is highly qualified, experienced, and supportive. Other: Provide an instructed and supportive academy environment, classrooms are well-maintained and equipped with projectors and whiteboards, while Wi-Fi connectivity enables easy access to online learning material, research, and searching resources. Abilities for mathematics and sciences are acquired with computer software and essential equipment to support practical learning. The college library is well stocked with tax book, reference material, general resources, and digital resources, creating a conducive environment for study and research. And it is value for money. Overall, a solid academic experience.
Other: This course is very good. The teaching staff for this course is very nice. The connectivity from the metro station and bus stop is very good. But it is far away from the main campus.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College BSc 2025 FAQs

Q:   What is the cutoff for BSc at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?
    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Deendayal Upadhyay college under Delhi University is quite well known for its academics. It has ranking of 24 which is considered quite good. Due to this, cut offs at this Institute are quite high for all the undergraduate courses that it offers. From different sources that I could go through, the cutoffs in the year 2022 were set between 94 to 96 for different BSc courses which are offered by this college. Cutoffs very every year and it depends on the number of seats available for admission and also the results of the CUET examination. In the year 2023 either the paper was little soft  or the students were now aware of what type of questions are asked and as a result more than 20000 students have scored 100 percentile. Not only this the students who have scored percentile above 95 are more than two and half lakh. Of course this is all India figure and this test is applicable for all the Central University across India and therefore it can be safely assumed that not all the students will come up to colleges under Delhi University.  Be that as it may, this is bound to increase the competition and as a result it is expected that the cutoffs for the year 2023 for BSc courses may increase by one or two percentiles.
    Best wishes to you.

Q:   Does Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College offer BSc programme?
    A:

Yes, DDU offers a full-time BSc course in various specialisations. The BSc programme lasts three years. Admission into this programme is given to interested candidates based on their CUET scores. The specialisations under the BSc course include Life Science, Mathematical Science, Botany, Physics, and so on. Candidates are asked to check the eligibility criteria for the admission process. Only eligible candidates can apply online from DDU's official website. However, the candidates have to qualify for the entrance test for CUET. Scanned documents are supposed to be uploaded by the candidate after their selection. Admission shall finally be based upon performance and availability of seats.

Q:   Apart from the tuition fee, what are the various components of the DDU BSc fee?
    A:

The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College BSc fee structure comprises many factors. These are tuition fees, hostel fees, registration fees, contingency fees, etc. The registration fee and the contingency fee will be paid once during admission. One-time fee is to be entirely payable at the time of BSc admission, which is INR 1,500. The tuition fee for the BSc course, under DDU, comes to the extent of INR 540. The exact amount to be paid as a fee depends on the choice of specialisation. The above-mentioned fee is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and, hence, indicative.

Q:   Which is best in terms of Bsc placement, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College or DU?
    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, your query is alright but it perhaps begs little more clarity. Let me put it this way. DDU is a college with students, professors coming every day for learning and teaching and is known for its Bsc Course. DU on the other hand is only an administrative entity. It may issue policy, set up syllabus, decide on working hours, holidays etc. But there is no classroom and no student passes out. Of course students do pass out from different colleges affiliated to it. There are few universities which have faculty and specialised courses but these are invariably at level of PG and placements of these students pursuing PG is on a different level than for undergraduate students.
I can not resist the urge to quote "one should not compare oranges with apples"!
    Best wishes to you.

Q:   What is the procedure to take BSc admission at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?
    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, the procedure or the process of seeking admission in Deen Dayal Upadhyay college of Delhi University is quite simple and straight forward and it is exactly same for seeking admission in any other college under Delhi University. A student needs to register himself on the special portal of Delhi University created for admissions process and is called CSAS or Common Seat Allocation System. After this the student needs to register for CUET examination conducted by National Testing Agency and seek good percentile since admissions invariably close above percentile of 95 in this college.
However to help you further I am attaching a link that will give you in detail the complete procedure of registration for admission in this college before the CUET examination and after the examination.

Q:   How many seats are offered through CUET UG counselling?
    A:

The precise count of available seats in CUET-UG counselling is not clear, the approximate number could be 10,000 seats. It differs depending on the course and the university the candidates applied to. For instance, Delhi University offers about 70,000 CUET UG seats. In CUET UG 2023, 45 central universities and 69 state and deemed universities participated and offered over 3 Lacs undergraduate programme seats. Courses offered by these universities include Biotechnology, Chemistry, Commerce, Arts and English. Though the number of CUET UG counselling rounds may differ from one university to the other, an average of three rounds are held in each university.
