What is NMET 2026?
NALSAR Management Entrance Test or NMET is a common admission test conducted for admission to UG and PG programmes offered by the university, through the Department of Management Studies (DoMS) of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. NMET evaluates the candidate’s analytical ability, quantitative competence, language proficiency, and business awareness.
NMET Eligibility Criteria 2026
NMET PG eligibility criteria
For appearing in the NMET 2026 PG course exam, candidates have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
- Final-year students awaiting results may also apply.
- For Telangana resident category seats, additional eligibility applies.
NMET UG eligibility criteria
Candidates opting for the 5-year IPM programme must meet the following criteria:
- Class XII or equivalent from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% for SC/ST candidates)
- Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams are also eligible to apply contingent on results.
- Telangana resident candidates must satisfy residency requirements.
NMET Application Process 2026
To apply for the NMET exam, candidates have to register at the official website. Given below is a brief procedure.

- A verification email will be sent to you
- Open email and verify
- Pay requisite fee

NMET Pattern 2026
NMET is an objective type exam in which there will be 100 questions to be solved within a stipulated time duration. Every question will have 4 options to choose the correct answer from. Check below NMET pattern 2026, for UG and PG:

NMET 2026 Selection Process
Admission to PG programme is based Statement of Purpose (SOP), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are first shortlisted on the basis of NMET or CAT/XAT/GMAT score and then invited for the GE-PI round. Final selection is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in all the parameters.
