Review of M.Sc. Maths in Deshbandhu South Campus.

Placements: The college does not have any role in placements. Placement is carried out by Ananya, The Placement Cell of Dept. of Mathematics. Their efforts deserve a round of applause because, during our time, approximately 50 out of 70 people who filled out the form for placements were given training, courses, etc. to crack the interviews and luckily, 40 out of 50 got very good jobs, ranging from 6 LPA to 19 LPA.

Infrastructure: South Campus is the place where your classes will take place and hostels are available there only. Yes, if selected, you would be enjoying your 2 years on the South Campus. Hostels are available for both boys and girls. Ph.D. people also stay there. So, you can express your doubts to them. The South Campus Library is equipped with a number of books. Just go and study or enjoy AC. Note: The south campus has a fixed syllabus for all, unlike the north campus, where students have to give their preferences for subjects, which are then given to them according to their marks.

Faculty: Faculty: top-notch with their different expertise and methods of teaching. Note: Field theory is tough. Study from day 1. The course is somewhat related to industry. Semester exams are bit tough to crack when you are just average. And the course has more female professors, making it one of the few courses where the gender ratio is greater than 1.

Other: The best decision of my life was to opt for South Campus. The course will make you ready for Ph.D. and scholarships are given by various agencies. Celebrate your freshers, farewell, etc. in auditorium but do get the required permission in advance and check the register for date available.

The college needs a lot of doing to come anywhere near the top colleges of the university.

Placements: Well, our college is not highly rated when it comes to getting placed, though the companies do come for recruiting the students and a few of them do find jobs directly. The placement cell in the college is also not very active throughout the year. Overall, the college is not the best for placements but not the worst too.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure after the renovation is pretty good. There are a few departments which are newly built along with the library. The library is pretty good and certainly one of the best that you find in Delhi University. The administration office as well as the principal room, everything has been renovated. The canteen is the worst that you get in any college in Delhi University.

Faculty: Teachers here are pretty helpful. Not all of them are very knowledgeable, but you are going to find this everywhere. I was from mathematics department, and from my experience, I would say all the teachers were very good in both theory as well practical studies. The course curriculum is also as prescribed by the University.

Other: The college is getting better when it comes to celebrating the annual cultural fest. There is NCC as well as NSS working alright. The crowd is not good.
