B.Com. - Batch of 2026

Kind faculty and a decent curriculum.
Placements: My department, that is the School of Commerce, hasn’t provided any placements yet. But if we look at other departments in DAVV, like IMS and IIPS, they have provided placements up to 7 LPA in the MBA programme. Departments like SOC are just for the degree, not skills or PPOs.
Infrastructure: Overall, DAVV campus looks clean and beautiful, but the departments are very untidy inside. In my department, washrooms are broken. The walls have not been painted since it was built. Spider webs are all over the place, and benches have nails pointing out, which very often tear our clothes when we sit on them.
Faculty: The faculty is very kind and always helps students pass. As many students are studying for professional exams, teachers always try to give an upper hand to the students who are struggling. Exams are quite decent, and I haven’t seen any problems with them yet. The curriculum is also average based on my experience.
Other: I think if anyone wants a degree just to show on their resume, this is a decent college as it has lower fees compared to private colleges.

Vast variety of opportunities .
Placements: The placement ratio was good 2-3 years ago, but for 2024-25, only 10%-20% of students got placed. But, apart from that, the ratio has been decent, providing many opportunities for the unplaced students as well. Most of the roles are for hiring web developers, Jr. software engineers, business analysts, etc.
Infrastructure: All the labs have the latest PC's and the departments have quite a good infrastructure. It provides good opportunities for sports if someone is a district/state/national player. Hostels have strict rules and a common bathroom area as well. I would recommend going for private hostels or PGs if money is not an issue.
Faculty: Even the guest faculty members are good here. It all depends on the students if they're interested in studying. Semester examinations are easier than expected, and if the department is autonomous, students are more likely to connect with the PYQs because the same teachers often check the answer sheet.
Other: MCA offers a good and vast variety of jobs. As it is not just limited to be a developed. There are many job facilities for the students in various fields. An annual event is held every year with every batch to be given a chance to participate in extra curricular activities.

Overall, placements are good. Students should make good friends to enjoy college life.
Placements: Mostly, all students who have skills get placed. The highest package is 32 LPA. The average package ranges from 8-9 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.5 LPA. Mostly, service-based mass recruitments are there, but if we work hard, we can get placements in good companies.
Infrastructure: The whole college is just a jungle with some buildings in the jungle. There is no playground and no cleaning of the jungle, so wild animals roam in the jungle. Buildings are old and we do face several problems. Buildings are getting renovated, but still, the condition of classrooms is not good.
Faculty: The course curriculum on paper is good. But the knowledge we will get depends from faculty to faculty. If we get good faculty members then they will teach us properly or else no teaching and we should learn on our own. PYQs will be repeated, we should just mug them up and we will get good marks without knowledge.

I think we have a good campus, large enough compared to others, and a good crowd.
Placements: Our placement session has just started as final year students. In the 3rd year, we got some companies for internships, and now we are getting companies for placements like Accenture, Infosys, Barclays, Volvo Eicher, and others. Last year, 75% of students got placed. Some also want to pursue higher studies. In the CS and IT branches, most students get placed.
Infrastructure: In our department, we have free Wi-Fi, which is only accessible with students' IDs provided by the college. The library is the only one for the entire college, and the labs are good, but some have old equipment. The infrastructure is good; there is also a garden. Now, regarding the hostel, it's good, but sometimes we face problems regarding the water. We have fast internet in every room, and cleanliness is also good in the corridors, but the toilets stink after a few days.
Faculty: Professors are well qualified; some have M.Tech degrees from IIT and are good at their work. They always help with exams and career problems. I think the syllabus can be improved as it is outdated. First-year students receive the most help from faculty members. We have a good environment; in the IT department, students are prepared for industrial work, but in the core branches, there is a lack somewhere.
Other: I think Electronics is a very versatile branch; its students perform well in every field: studies, fests, or sports. There are very practical projects and labs compared to other branches, but it is also tougher for everyone. We have a good crowd in college, as it's the best engineering college in Madhya Pradesh after the NITs.

The college has supportive faculty and industry-relevant curriculum with decent facilities.
Placements: In my college, out of 100%, only 40% of students were placed. The highest package of this year is 18 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Dice came this year, which is a startup that has taken a large number of students into it. More than 30% of students got internships. The top role offered is business analyst.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped. Labs and the library are resourceful. Wi-Fi is available. Hostels are decent with average mess food. Medical help is accessible. The campus has good sports facilities and an active canteen. While IIPS may not offer ultra-modern luxury facilities, it provides everything essential for a focused academic environment. The infrastructure is steadily improving, and the college promotes both academics and extracurricular growth.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant and covers industry needs. Exams are moderately difficult. Most students pass; the pass percentage is around 85–90%. Faculty is knowledgeable and approachable, with a mix of academic and practical teaching. The curriculum is mostly relevant, with some industry exposure. Exams are not too tough if you're consistent.

Placements are not satisfactory.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students got placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary was 3 LPA. Top recruiters were TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. No one got internships. Roles offered were full-stack developer, front-end developer, back-end developer, and SDE. Students had good technical backgrounds grabbed off-campus opportunities.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure was good. There was not any hostel or mess. There was a common health care center on campus. Good infrastructure was there for sports. Sports events and festivals were held throughout the year. Wi-Fi, library, and classroom were all good. Parking facilities were better.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly qualified, experienced, and helpful. Teaching quality was also good but the curriculum was not sufficient to make students industry-ready. Core subjects were included in curriculum but you need to learn many technical skills from anywhere else.

IIPS Indore neither takes CMAT scores directly into account for admission nor does it conduct admission on that basis. It offers admission via MP MBA counselling on state-level rankings, largely based on DAVV CET. For the OBC quota, the rank that closed in Round 1 was around 240 in previous years. Y
