I am satisfied with teachers, good infrastructure and low amount of fees than other colleges.

Placements: It is a general college for pursuing general degrees like B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Com, M.Com, BA, MA, etc. Options of placement are not available, and there is no recruiting company for our course and other courses. Some interested students got internships from research institutes.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. All departments have free Wi-Fi facilities, and laboratories are well-designed. It has a huge building for a library, where two floors are full of various books. There are the best facilities for hostel life now because two separate building blocks are made for students in the campus area. The quality of food available on our campus is also good. In the campus area, there are no medical facilities, but outside of our college, there are a lot of hospital facilities. Our sports and games and cultural activities are very impressive, and there are basketball ground, football ground, cricket ground, badminton ground and gym room. Many types of cultural activities are held in our college.

Faculty: Professors of our college are very helpful and well-qualified. Some of them have outstanding knowledge and another level of quality to interact with students in their studies. In our college, there is a smart room in each department that helps us to focus on our studies, and the gadgets in the room boost our interest level. Every year some bright students cracked the national level examination like JAM.

Overall, it is a good college because of its faculty, library, Wi-Fi and playgrounds.

Placements: Durgapur Government College is a degree college, and hence the placements are not offered here. But many students from our college have cleared many competitive exams to join top institutions for further studies. Our college is best known for its geology department as many students from that department have cleared IIT JAM and joined many good institutions. The other departments are not quite far, they have also produced some excellent students.

Infrastructure: Durgapur Government College has a huge library where students can issue and read books throughout the year. Every science department has its labs, and the labs are provided with a wide variety of instruments and apparatus. The campus has big grounds for playing different games like cricket, football, basketball etc. An annual sports day is held every year.

Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is appreciable. They make it easier for students to understand basic concepts clearly every time. The course curriculum is relevant. If one attends all the classes throughout the course properly, then they can be industry-ready.

Other: From the beginning, I had an interest in learning Physics. I always wanted to learn how this nature works and what are the principles behind them. Nowadays, with the increasing competition, you cannot choose a pass course, you should at least complete your honours course and then try for government jobs. In the Physics honours course, I think the number of experiments for each semester included in the syllabus should be conducted. Often due to the lack of time, instruments and apparatus, the experiments are not conducted. Since it is a government college, students can receive many scholarships.
